The extremist movement inside today’s already leftist Democrat party has taken a huge blow, with socialist Francesca Hong’s loss in the Wisconsin gubernatorial primary on Tuesday.
Establishment Democrat candidate David Crowley, experienced in government already in Milwaukee County, was declared the primary winner with 38.9% of the vote, to Hong’s 39.4%.
Hong was on the far edge of the far edge of the party, but her loss was a huge blow to that agenda pursued by “Democratic socialists” and others who appeared to be pursuing, openly, Marxist and even communist ideals.
The party has been in disarray after Kamala Harris’ blowout loss to President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race, and the resulting lack of clear leadership in the party.
One commentary explained Hong was “hardwired to spew eyebrow-raising opinions.”
At one point she insisted Thanksgiving should have been canceled back in 1621.
She loathed capitalism, wanted to get rid of police, and disliked white people.

She blasted an “IT bro” at her work in 2019 when he changed her computer background to show snow and Christmas trees, explaining she felt threatened. She whined Valentine’s Day was bogus.
Her original hate of Thanksgiving said it was “incredibly painful” for Americans and should have been aborted hundreds of years ago.
A report from the Washington Examiner said while multiple candidates of her ilk had, in fact, won Democrat primaries recently, her loss was big.
She had been considered the front-runner after being backed by “Democratic Socialists of America.” And multiple polls claimed she held a double-digit lead going into the vote.
The report explained, “Her loss on Tuesday contributes to socialists’ difficulty winning in statewide elections. Though the organization has seen huge gains in its influence in the party, Democratic leaders worry about candidates’ strength in the general election.”
Crowley had been endorsed by retiring Gov. Tony Evers, a Democrat, and will face Rep. Tom Tiffany, a Republican, in this fall’s race.
