Following US strikes in Iran last night, Iran reportedly targeted US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, making further escalation of the war likely.
Iran also continues to threaten shipping in the Strait of Hormuz after striking three ships on Tuesday, which led to the resumed fighting.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, US forces launched strikes against Iran for a second night in a row after President Trump declared the US-Iran ceasefire “over,” adding, “I don’t want to deal with them anymore. They’re scum.”
Trump had told reporters on Wednesday afternoon, while meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, that the US is going to strike Iran again tonight after a wave of strikes on Tuesday.
“This is in retribution for yesterday’s bombing of ships by Iran. If it happens again, it will get much worse!” Trump said following the strikes.
US Central Command announced that approximately “90 Iranian military targets, including air defense systems, coastal surveillance assets, missile and drone storage sites, naval capabilities, and military logistics infrastructure along Iran’s coastline” were hit last night.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it targeted US military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain in response to the latest wave of US strikes, in a statement published by state broadcaster IRIB.
The IRGC’s Navy and Air Force said it launched a joint drone and missile attack on US infrastructure and facilities, including Camp Arifjan and Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait; and Shaikh Isa Air Base and Juffair in Bahrain.
Juffair is home to the Naval Support Activity, the primary US Navy base in the Persian Gulf, which hosts the US Fifth Fleet.
The IRGC said the strikes were in response to US attacks on Iran’s southern coastal provinces and on two bridges in eastern Iran, IRIB reported.
Kuwait further confirmed on Thursday morning it was “confronting hostile missile and drone attacks.” The Army of Kuwait said on X, “The General Staff of the Army notes that if explosion sounds are heard, they are the result of air defense systems intercepting the hostile attacks.”
The Interior Ministry of Bahrain also confirmed that emergency sirens were sounded shortly after last night’s US strikes in Iran.
The US Embassy in Amman, Jordan, further issued a countrywide security alert, warning, “Reports indicate missiles, drones, or rockets are in Jordanian airspace.” The embassy urged people to “seek overhead cover and shelter in place immediately.”
“Air raid sirens were activated by the Public Security Directorate just moments ago, following reports of the Kingdom’s airspace being breached by missiles launched from Iran, which were intercepted and dealt with,” Jordanian government spokesman Dr. Mahammad al-Momeni said on X.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard naval forces threatened a “forceful response” to US “interference in determining shipping routes” in the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday, per CBS.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump vowed to hit Iran “20 to one” on Wednesday, saying that Iran wants to make a deal “so badly.”
When asked if he is planning to return to full-scale military conflict, Trump said, “I don’t know,” adding, “We’d win it very quickly.”
