‘Troubled’: Chelsea Clinton breaks silence on claims she received $84 million from USAID

February 11, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: THE NEWS, WND

Hillary, Chelsea and Bill Clinton at a Clinton Foundation event

Chelsea Clinton is firing back against what she calls “lies” and “absurd claims” that she was gifted $84 million from USAID, the United States Agency for International Development.

“Lies and conspiracies about my family and me are nothing new. Still, I am particularly troubled by the absurd claims that continue to pervade social media this week, fact checks be damned,” the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, wrote Monday on X.

“Facts: I’m proud of the Clinton Foundation work that has helped tens of millions of people worldwide. Our impact speaks for itself. I don’t take a cent from the Foundation. Never have. In fact, my family personally contributes meaningfully to our work each year.

“Misinformation isn’t just noise – it’s a weapon. Efforts to undermine good work won’t stop us, and we stand in solidarity with those who are committed to truth, public health, progress, and the endless potential of our future.”

WND reported last week how Elon Musk, the head of DOGE, the Department of Governmental Efficiency, posted and then deleted a “Wow” reaction to claims Chelsea allegedly received some $84 million in U.S. taxpayer funding.

“USAID gave Chelsea Clinton tens of millions of dollars and partnered with their sex trafficking organization The Clinton Foundation,” wrote author and journalist Liz Crokin on X.

“In 2010, then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton helped oversee $4.4 billion that Congress had earmarked for ‘recovery’ efforts in Haiti by the USAID in 2010.”

Crokin continued: “The level of corruption and criminality – including crimes that are deemed capital offenses with death penalty as a potential punishment – are astounding and unprecedented.

“We must demand accountability and justice for these crimes.”

The left-leaning so-called fact-checker Snopes.com indicated the claim Chelsea herself had received the money directly was false.

“A graph that social media users claimed showed Chelsea Clinton received $84 million from USAID is actually a reference to the Clinton Foundation,” it wrote.

“Further, government data from fiscal years 2008-24 showed that USAID had not given more than $7.5 million to that foundation. Finally, tax returns show Chelsea Clinton does not receive any compensation for her work at the foundation.”

However, Britain’s Daily Mail reports: “But even though Snopes clarified that Chelsea hadn’t received direct compensation, the Clinton Foundation has received financial awards from the U.S. government, such as in 2010 when the were granted $49,998 for AmeriCorps National.

“And AmeriCorps has roots in the Clinton Foundation, as former-President Bill Clinton signed the National and Community Trust Act of 1993 that brought the federal organization to life.

“USAID also gave money to the Clinton Health Access Initiative, a self-run off-shoot of the Clinton Foundation, totaling $7.49million – spending the majority of it between 2019 to 2021.”

Chelsea Clinton’s post on Monday is getting fierce reaction.

Phil Suarez, a U.S. Army combat veteran and Republican congressional candidate in Texas, says:

“Chelsea, the problem isn’t just ‘misinformation’ or ‘conspiracies’ – it’s the undeniable history of corruption, pay-to-play politics, and shady dealings tied to the Clinton Foundation. If the Foundation’s work is as selfless as you claim, why did donations mysteriously dry up when your mother lost in 2016? Why did foreign governments and corporations pour millions into it while she was Secretary of State? Why did internal audits and whistleblower reports raise serious concerns about financial mismanagement?

“Americans have every right to question an organization with a history of blurred ethical lines and special treatment for donors. Instead of dismissing criticism as ‘lies’ and ‘absurd claims,’ perhaps some real accountability is in order. Your family’s legacy isn’t one of transparency or public service – it’s one of influence-peddling and backroom deals.

“And let’s not pretend you’re just an innocent bystander. You’ve personally benefited from the Clinton name, and your attempts to silence critics with moral posturing won’t change the facts. If the Foundation’s ‘impact speaks for itself,’ let the numbers, audits, and records do the talking – not another Clinton lecture about ‘truth’ while sweeping real concerns under the rug.”

Is the news we hear every day actually broadcasting messages from God? The answer is an absolute yes! Find out how!

Other commenters directly responding to Chelsea Clinton indicated:

“Oh, look. It’s a Clinton lying again.”

“You owe me money. Btw there is no amount of money that could make you someone to look at. UGLY is in your genes.”

“You are going to jail even if your evil criminal parents escape justice.”

“You’re such a lying b*tch. You, your mother and father are criminals and degenerates. You all belong in prison. Go f*** yourself.”

“Your parents need to face justice … and if you’re mixed up in any of it? Then you have to face the music too. No one’s above the law, them’s the rules.”

“Of course you’re proud, you made millions.”

“Ok Chelsea. And your father did not have sexual relations with that woman, right? ”

“You stole money from the Haiti relief fund. The Clinton Foundation stole more money than they helped. You and your family are criminals.”

“This post is what panic looks like.”

“You stole money from the Haiti relief fund. The Clinton Foundation stole more money than they helped. You and your family are criminals.”

“Your dad went to Epstein Island 26 times.”

“You are a criminal like your mother! At least you didn’t rape young women at Epstein’s Island like your which your mother knew about and did nothing about it! It Was all about the $$$$$!”

“You know not a single person believes a word you say, right?”

Ms. Clinton, am I correct in reading that out of your reported $57,597,174 in expenses, $8,176,112 went to conferences and meetings, plus an additional $1,996,121 on travel? pic.twitter.com/COu2a99SWM

Elon Musk Is Exposing Organized Theft From The American Taxpayer

What kind of a populist is Elon Musk?

February 10, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: THE NEWS, WND

Elon Musk (Video screenshot)

Can the world’s richest man be a populist?

Elon Musk has plenty of enemies on the left who say the Tesla CEO is too rich to be a champion of working Americans.

He has opponents on the right who say the same, notably Steve Bannon, the mastermind of the 2016 Trump campaign’s anti-establishment messaging.

There’s rumbling about a clash between the “tech right” and populist right in conservative as well as liberal media.

Vivek Ramaswamy, who was supposed to be Musk’s partner in heading the Department of Government Efficiency, fell from grace with MAGA activists after he criticized Americans’ work ethic and defended the H1B visa program.

DOGE aims to drastically cut the size of government, by as much as $2 trillion in Musk’s most optimistic scenario.

Yet there are some conservatives who join progressives in insisting that slashing spending is what libertarians do, not populists.

President Donald Trump has taken the GOP a long way toward becoming a working-class party.

Is Musk undoing that – turning the clock back to the days of Ronald Reagan?

If he is, Musk is really advancing populism, not betraying it.

Reagan wasn’t just elected by Wall Street, whatever Democrats may think.

Blue-collar voters were the backbone of his electoral coalition, including working-class Americans who had voted Democratic for decades.

Reagan didn’t win them over with promises of greater government benefits – he did it by attacking a government that was bloated and burdensome to the ordinary taxpayer.

Trump voters, like Reagan voters, want less of a government that works against them.

Steve Bannon himself traces the origins of the Trump movement to the Tea Party revolt against government bailouts of financial institutions and other corporations “too big to fail” during the Great Recession.

The programs and agencies Musk is dismantling prop up an elite ecosystem in Washington that takes billions of dollars from taxpayers’ pockets.

Take the foreign-aid agency USAID: According to its own reporting, last year only 12.1% of its spending went directly to providing aid in foreign countries.

The other nearly 88% of its budget went to “non-government organizations” in America that serve as conduits for the aid – and take a cut of the money.

Unlock Aid, an organization calling for reform of foreign-aid programs, estimates “nearly nine out of every ten dollars that USAID spent” in 2022 “went to its international contracting partners, most of which are based in or around the Washington, DC area.”

Four of the six counties in the United States with the highest household income – including the one with the highest of all, Loudoun County, Virginia – are in the D.C. region.

The nation’s capital grows rich from the money its networks extract from taxpayers.

NGOs receiving USAID money do not, of course, keep it all for themselves – only a slice.

But when tens of billions of dollars are flowing through the system every year, even a taste is a feast.

Not coincidentally, Washington, D.C. and its suburbs are deep blue on the electoral map, which helps keep Maryland and Virginia in the Democratic column in presidential contests.

And a certain portion of the aid money that stays with American NGOs, in the form of employees’ salaries, gets passed on to the Democratic Party and progressive causes in the form of campaign contributions and other political donations.

That’s what makes the system so hard to fight from within.

Republican officeholders are easily tempted into thinking they could run the machine for their own advantage, and indeed, there are plenty of NGOs in Washington that function as professional retirement homes for influential Republicans who have played the game.

The only way to get rid of the corruption is to bring in outsiders who can’t be enticed by what Washington can offer.

Trump himself is one such outsider, and Musk is another.

Populism isn’t about rejecting wealthy individuals like Trump or Musk, whose personal fortunes pale beside the kind of money government spends.

The point of populism is to curtail the self-dealing of an insider class that feeds off everyone’s taxes.

Smaller government means government more focused on the limited number of things that are truly in the public’s interest.

And when government doesn’t take such a big bite out of American’s paychecks in the first place, they have more money to spend taking care of their families and communities – and to give to the international charities that they decide are best suited to help the needy abroad.

Not a cent that Musk and his team cuts disappears from circulation.

Instead the money is taken away from the elite and given back to uses the people approve of – or it goes back to the people themselves, to be used the way they think best.

That’s populism, and yes, Elon Musk – the richest man on earth – is a populist.

Trump makes ultimatum to Hamas regarding Israeli hostages: release by noon on Saturday or ‘let all hell break out’

No more of this releasing hostages ‘in drips and drabs,” President Trump said from the Oval office on Monday evening, according to Fox News.

He was outraged by the condition of the three who were recently released, saying they looked like “Holocaust survivors.”

“If all the Gaza hostages aren’t returned by Saturday at 12 p.m., I would say cancel the ceasefire. Let all hell break out; Israel can override it,” said Trump from the Oval Office.

Trump outraged over condition of Israeli hostages

“They look like Holocaust survivors. They were in horrible condition. They were emaciated,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on his way to New Orleans to attend the Super Bowl, according to The Jerusalem Post. “I don’t know how much longer we can take that … at some point we’re going to lose our patience.”

There are still 76 hostages remaining in Gaza.

Trump’s takeover of Gaza: lawmakers either love it or hate it

In true, predictable, President Trump fashion, here is another Trump move that is either loved or hated. Reactions from 34 Jewish members of the House and Senate regarding Trump’s proposal to rebuild Gaza ranged from appreciating the way that he was “thinking outside the box” to disbelief that anything of this sort could be accomplished in Gaza, according to The Jerusalem Post.

As for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he believes that Trump’s plan is a very good one that could “change everything” and should be pursued.

Iran threatens disruption of world oil supply route

Iran appears to be retaliating against President Trump, who has cut that nation’s oil exports to zero. Trump’s move is intended to bring Iran to the negotiating table regarding their nuclear weapons program.

“We have the capability to close the Strait of Hormuz,” Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps navy commander told Newsweek. He also indicated that blocking the passageway was another possibility if “high-ranking officials” decided to take such action.

“I would like a deal done with Iran on non-nuclear. I would prefer that to bombing the hell out of it,” Trump said.
