Mob of angry Dems tries to force its way into federal building

A crowd of outraged congressional Democrats attempted to force their way into the Department of Education (ED) building Friday to protest President Donald Trump’s proposed plan to shut down the agency.

The Trump administration has begun drafting an executive order to eliminate ED and direct Congress to pass legislation to officially dissolve the agency in order to ensure public education is managed by the states. Democratic Congress members, including California Rep. Maxine Waters, lamented the security guard as he denied them access into the building.

“What are they afraid of? They know that we’re here,” Waters said.

“Were you told, are you making this decision to stand in front of this door on your own behalf? On behalf of the Department of Education, were you to come out here and block members of Congress from complying with us? Were you told to stand here or did you decide to stand here and block members of Congress from entering the Department of Education?” Democratic Florida Rep. Maxwell Frost asked the security guard.

WATCH:

The security guard at the entrance did not budge as congressional Democrats simultaneously demanded they be granted access into the building because they are members of Congress. Other members claimed they were entering the building to protect American children, stating the nation’s kids deserve better than to have them be denied entry.

Waters directed Fox News’ cameras to face the security guard as she accused him of blocking them from accessing the building “for no good reason.”

“I want you to see this [security guard] right here who is a federal employee he told us … we pay him, we raise money to make sure that we have a Department of Education, and everybody that’s at the Department of Education is here because we pay for them to be here,” Waters said. “He’s standing here today blocking the door and he can’t give us a good reason why he’s blocking this door.”

“I think it should be clear to parents in the United States, if you want to advocate on behalf of your children, you are not allowed to come into this building where you pay taxes,” another congresswoman said. “Parents who have children who are disabled, access if being blocked. You voted for members of Congress to advocate on behalf of your children. Children with disabilities, for young women who have been victims of sexual assault in our classrooms on our school grounds, members of OCR are fighting for your children and we’re not allowed in the building to talk to them. We are not allowed to advocate on behalf of America’s children. America, we have a problem.”

Democratic members have gathered to protest Trump and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk for reducing the size of the government and eliminating wasteful spending, a promise the president repeatedly made on the campaign trail. Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar warned in front of the Department of Treasury building Tuesday that they may “actually see someone get killed,” while Democratic Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley threatened to set “fire” to the Republican Party over Musk’s disbandment of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

Federal, state and local governments spend roughly $857.2 billion on K-12 public education annually, though students’ test scores and proficiency in core subjects have continued to decline since the COVID-19 pandemic. The federal government’s $190 billion in spending on public education has failed to improve students’ proficiency and test scores in subjects such as math, reading and science.

(USA TODAY) – President Donald Trump has moved to fire Ellen Weintraub, chairwoman of the Federal Election Commission, but she says her termination is invalid and is refusing to step down.

Weintraub, one of three Democrats on the six-member bipartisan panel, posted a letter dated Jan. 31 from Trump that she received Thursday informing her “you are hereby removed” as a member of the FEC commission “effective immediately.”

“There’s a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn’t it,” Weintraub wrote on X. “I’ve been lucky to serve the American people & stir up some good trouble along the way. That’s not changing anytime soon.”

Hail Mary and Hallelujah: Jesus takes center stage at Super Bowl LIX

February 7, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: THE NEWS, WND

Super Bowl LIX is shaping up to be a continuation of an emerging trend: football players becoming outspoken advocates for their Christian faith.

Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles players spoke about the importance of their belief in Jesus and the Gospel during a series of interviews with Sports Spectrum this week.

When asked by Sports Spectrum’s Annabelle Hasselbeck who Jesus is to him, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes replied, “Jesus is my Lord and Savior. It’s someone that I look up to every single day to decide what I want to do with my life and how I want to live my life. And so, Jesus is everything to me at the end of the day.”

Mahomes’ counterpart, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, has long professed his faith in Jesus.

“I’ve always wanted to root myself in that and keep Him in the center of my life in everything I do,” Hurts told Sports Spectrum’s Matt Forte. “Through the highs and the lows, He’s greater than all of them.”

Harrison Butker, kicker for the Chiefs, shared that he turns to God most when facing anxiety and pressure, explaining, “I view being an NFL kicker on this stage as a way that God’s called me to turn to Him more often.”

Butker, who isn’t shy about expressing his Catholic beliefs, made headlines for a commencement address he delivered at Benedictine College in Kansas last year.

Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, who was named NFL Offensive Player of the Year on Thursday, credited his “best season” to his focus on growing his faith. “My faith is everything and I know that I wouldn’t be here without the Man above,” he said.

Chiefs linebackers coach Rod Wilson credited his place at the Super Bowl to his faith. When asked about the spiritual aspect of the team, Wilson called it “important” and “very helpful in this whole journey.”

NFL players are not the only ones using their platforms to share Jesus’ message.

College football stars from national champion Ohio State cited their faith in God throughout this year’s playoffs.

During a post-game news conference after defeating Notre Dame last month, Ohio State quarterback Will Howard said, “Before I say anything, I just gotta give my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ all the glory and all the praise.”

It was great to see so many Ohio State Buckeyes give praise to Jesus after winning the national championship on Monday night.

Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson gave testimony to his faith during an on-campus event in December 2024, according to NPR. Henderson said he discovered God after suffering an injury during his sophomore year.

“’You know, we are all loved by Him equally,” Henderson told NPR. “God can use anyone.”

Players from Ohio State’s opponent, Notre Dame, a Catholic college in Indiana, also spoke out about their faith in Jesus.

“Before I answer your question, I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for giving me the opportunity to play in this game,” quarterback Riley Leonard said after the national championship game. “I wrote on my hand Proverbs 27:17. ‘As iron sharpens iron, so should one man sharpen another.’”

???? Wow. Quarterbacks from both Ohio State and Notre Dame praised Jesus Christ after last night’s National Championship game.

In sports, there’s a winner and a loser—but in a life devoted to Christ, there are only winners.

God Bless these players. pic.twitter.com/SFFx6vhWZF

Sen. Kennedy on Elon Musk: ‘I think we ought to give him a medal’

Democrats and other leftists in Congress and around Washington, D.C., are incensed that President Donald Trump is in the White House, and he’s fulfilling a campaign promise to cut government waste through his Department of Government Efficiency and its chief, Elon Musk.

They’ve threatened to fight in the streets and raised both eyebrows and authorities’ alarm by saying DOGE workers are wanted dead or alive.

One Republican senator has another perspective: Musk should be given a medal.

Ready to have your mind blown?

– He found that we are giving money to Yemen

Musk previously hos documented his own personal stake in the abuse of taxpayer money, explaining at one point he was the “largest individual taxpayer in history.”

It is Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., who listed what Musk has found while investigating fraud and waste at USAID.

“He found that the USAID has 10,000 people employees, and every year they give away $40 billion.

“He found that the USAID gave money to support electric vehicles in Vietnam. Our money, taxpayer money.

“He found that the USAID gave money to a transgender clinic in India. ‘I didn’t know that. I bet you the American people didn’t know that.’

“He found that USAID gave $1.5 million to a Serbian LGBTQ group, they got $1.5 million to QUOTE, ‘advanced diversity, equity, inclusion in Serbia’s workplaces and business communities.’

“They found that USAID spent $164 million to support radical organizations around the world.

“They gave $122 million of that to groups aligned with foreign terrorist organizations.

“According to this report in Mr. Musk, the USAID has given millions of dollars to quote organizations in Gaza controlled by Hamas.

“He found that we gave $2 million, USAID did, for sex changes in Guatemala.

“He found that we gave $20 million to produce a new Sesame Street show in Iraq.

“He found that we gave $4.5 million of taxpayer money to combat misinformation in Kazakhstan.

“He found that we gave $10 million, USAID did, of meals to an al-Qaeda-linked terrorist group called the Nusra Front.

“Mr. Musk found that we gave $7.9 million of taxpayer money to a project that would teach Sri Lankan journalists to avoid binary-gendered language.

“USAID gave $1.5 million to promote LGBT advocacy in Jamaica.

“They gave $1.5 million to rebuild the Cuban media ecosystem.

“They gave $1.5 million for quote, art for inclusion of people with disabilities in Belarus.

“Another $3.9 million for LGBT causes in Macedoni.

“$8.3 million for equity and inclusion education in Nepal.

Kennedy’s recommendation: “I think we ought to give him a medal.”

Trump has confirmed that most of the USAID employees are being put on leave, with only a few hundred remaining on duty, duties that apparently are being folded into the world of the State Department.

Trump’s efficiency agenda moves against more than 9,000 USAID bureaucrats

February 7, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: THE NEWS, WND

The administration of President Donald Trump, as part of his government-wide efficiency campaign being pursued by his White House Department of Government Efficiency, is sending dismissal notices to more than 9,000 USAID workers.

The Trump administration will continue to offer aid to recipients around the globe, according to Secretary of State Marco Rubio. But it “is going to be foreign aid that makes sense and is aligned with our national interest,” he said.

The U.S. Agency for International Development has been one of Trump’s first and biggest targets for his efficiency plans.

Rubio, in a news conference with the president of the Dominican Republican, said it would have been better to clean up and restructure the agency from the inside out.

But he said that was impossible. “When we tried to do it from the top down by getting cooperation from the central office and USAID, what we found instead are people trying to use the system to sneak through payments and push through payments despite the stop order. We found people that were uncooperative in terms of giving us information and access.”

The report noted Trump’s reaction was to order it shut down.

“USAID is driving the radical left crazy, and there is nothing they can do about it because the way in which the money has been spent, so much of it fraudulently, is totally unexplainable. The corruption is at levels rarely seen before. Close it down,” Trump said in a statement.

A report in the Daily Mail revealed some 9,400 USAID employees are losing their jobs, and only about 600 “essential” workers will remain.

Elon Musk, of Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, has called the agency a “criminal organization.”

“Your tax dollars should be spent on America or the government should just tax you less,” he wrote on X.

Hundreds of awards and contracts handed out through the agency are being canceled, the agency’s Washington headquarters is closed and overseas employees have been given 30 days to return.

The employee unions, whose income will be hit with a dramatic collapse if there are more than 9,000 workers no longer paying union dues, have gone to court, claiming that Trump’s management of the federal bureaucracy is unconstitutional.

A lawsuit by the American Foreign Service Association and American Federation of Government Employees claims Trump’s actions are an “unlawful seizure” of a federal bureaucracy.

Officials have said the USAID structure is being shut down, but it’s duties will be moved to the State Department.

The White House repeatedly has unleashed lists of egregious USAID payments, including promotions for transgenderism and such, around the globe.

Trump halts electric car charger campaign after Biden’s $5 billion effort installed 55 units nationwide

February 7, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: THE NEWS, WND

President Donald Trump has hit the brakes on Joe Biden’s $5 billion spending plan to install electric vehicle charging stations nationwide, after only 55 units were made operational since 2021.

The Federal Highway Administration has issued a memo that directs states to stop the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program.

It was part of Biden’s big-ticket Bipartisan Infrastructure Law from 2021.

The Washington Examiner explained the memo “seeks to implement an executive order declared by President Donald Trump on Inauguration Day targeting the Green New Deal, or progressive environmental policies that found their way into legislation signed by Biden in 2021.”

The so-called “Deal” was a campaign to defeat “global warming,” which suddenly became “climate change” when the global warming faded.

The Biden law planned 500,000 chargers in the country by 2030. The report revealed, however, that by December 2023 not a single unit had been installed. By February 2025, the number reportedly was 55.

Trump’s executive orders on the day of his inauguration included one ending the Green New Deal, a name that came from a 2019 resolution from leftists Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, D-N.Y., and Sen. Edward Markey, D-Mass.

Trump said at the time, “Today, we will end the Green New Deal, and we will revoke the electric vehicle mandate, saving our auto industry and keeping my sacred pledge to our great American autoworkers. …In other words, you’ll be able to buy the car of your choice.”

Trump’s order directed federal agencies to “immediately pause the disbursement of funds appropriated” through the Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and he specifically cited the “funds for electric vehicle charging stations.”

Electric vehicles have largely been significantly more expensive than internal combustion vehicles. They are much heavier, creating the danger of catastrophic damage and injury in accidents, their batteries require costly replacement at times, and their driving range is more limited, especially in cold weather.

In the U.S. House, male representative is called MISTER!

February 7, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: THE NEWS, WND

The transgender agenda failed, catastrophically, on the U.S. House floor when Rep. Mary Miller, R-Ill., in the chair, addressed Rep. Tim “Sarah” McBride, D-Del., as “Mister.”

It’s because McBride calls himself a woman. In fact, he created a scandal for a time when first elected last year with the suggestion that he be allowed to use the women’s restrooms and such in the Capitol.

House Speaker Mike Johnson vetoed that immediately.

“The chair recognizes the gentleman from Delaware, Mr. McBridge,” Miller said.

Today on the House Floor, I refused to deny biological reality.

President Trump restored biological truth in the Federal Government, and I refuse to perpetuate the lie that gender is open to our interpretation. It is not. pic.twitter.com/Rin6PWT68O

— Rep. Mary Miller (@RepMaryMiller) February 6, 2025

Miller explained, “Today on the House Floor, I refused to deny biological reality. President Trump restored biological truth in the Federal Government, and I refuse to perpetuate the lie that gender is open to our interpretation. It is not.”

A commentary at Twitchy noted, “McBride made news in 2024 by becoming the first ‘transgender’ member of the House of Representatives, but he soon found out that the Republicans in Congress weren’t about to bend the knee to his mental illness. Rep. Nancy Mace led a personal crusade to prevent McBride from using the women’s bathrooms (because, you know, he is not a woman). Reality won that fight when Speaker Mike Johnson confirmed that men like McBride must use either his own private bathroom or the men’s room. Yesterday, Illinois Rep. Mary Miller gave reality another victory when she refused to recognize McBride as a woman on the House Floor.”

College athlete Riley Gaines, who famously battled the now-defunct NCAA agenda of promoting transgenderism in college sports, said Miller’s comments simply were “based in reality.”

This type of honesty isn’t rude or mean or anti-anything. It’s based in reality and the idea that being a woman is more than a feeling in a man’s head.

I hope every other House member shows the same dedication to truth that Representative Miller does. https://t.co/mzcasHgf8w

— Riley Gaines (@Riley_Gaines_) February 6, 2025

We need more of this!

Major props to @RepMaryMiller for refusing to bend a knee to these ridiculous demands.

These Left should start getting used to us refusing to play by their stupid made up rules.

You don’t get to control our words or our thoughts. https://t.co/1ooUxD3yB7

Leak ICE raid details? Find yourself in handcuffs!

February 7, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: THE NEWS, WND

Tom Homan

Border czar Tom Homan told Fox News host Harris Faulkner Thursday that people who leak information about raids by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) “might find themselves in handcuffs.”

Upon taking office on Jan. 20, President Donald Trump issued multiple executive orders to address illegal immigration, including designating Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations, declaring a national emergency on the southern border and setting policy to secure the border. Faulkner asked Homan about efforts to impede ICE raids targeting illegal immigrants with criminal records.

WATCH:

“I’m working very close starting this morning with the Department of Justice in where do they cross the line of impediment? So they may find themselves in a pair handcuffs soon. So, working with DOJ on that, get some legal guidance on that, I’m not an attorney I know what … crossing that line is, but getting DOJ back up on that, so something we’re looking at, Harris,” Homan told Faulkner. “We’re not going to tolerate it anymore. This is not a game. When we show up at these sites, this is a dangerous job for the men of women of ICE and Border Patrol and all the DOJ agencies.”

“To have this type of interference puts our officers at great risk,” Homan continued. “Not only these officers, but it puts the aliens at great risk, ’cause anything can happen when we take our eyes off the goal here, so we’re addressing that immediately today. I’m addressing OPSEC today, operational security and how the leaks are happening. We’ve identified how this operation got leaked and I’ll deal with that today.”

Prior to Homan’s appearance, Fox News reporter Bill Melugin covered an ICE operation in Aurora, Colorado, targeting the Tren de Aragua gang members that took over an apartment complex in the city. The raids, which targeted over 100 gang members, only netted one member after information regarding law enforcement’s operation was leaked. Protesters with bullhorns taunted the agents after media outlets ran articles about the impending operation, which Melugin said was “compromised from the very beginning.”

“It’s all about controlling the message. I try to be transparent. I promised the American people that we would be transparent with operations, but it’s obvious we can’t be having all these different news outlets out there with us on various raids. Bill Melugin, great guy, but we got a lot of OPSEC concerns we’re dealing with right now,” Homan told Faulkner. “But the leak will be identified today, we’ll deal with that today. But it’s not a game. I want to put it out to [Democratic New Jersey] Governor Phil Murphy, the rest of the people who want to game this, it is not a joke. This is serious business and they need to stop or we’ll prosecute them through the Department of Justice.”

Murphy dared ICE to pursue an illegal immigrant he said was living in an apartment over the garage of his home Monday, prompting Homan to warn him he could be arrested and charged.

Trump promised to carry out a massive deportation effort targeting criminal illegal immigrants during the 2024 presidential campaign. ICE arrested and deported hundreds of illegal aliens charged with crimes including terrorism, sexual assault and aggravated assault, after Trump signed the executive actions and rescinded executive orders issued by then-President Joe Biden in 2021 that reversed immigration enforcement policies Trump put in place during his first term.
