Perhaps it’s something of a prelude to Trump’s Joint Session of Congress address that he’s expected to give next month. For the moment, The White House has released a statement referenced by Newsweek that outlines the accomplishments of President Trump over the past few weeks he’s been in office for his second term.

Megyn Kelly points out an interesting observation in the below video: “I don’t seen a ton of positive coverage for President Trump across these same outlets [who originally came against him] today on how it’s working…”

Trump says Iran ‘just can’t have a nuclear weapon’

There are plenty of good reasons to withhold trusting the rogue nation of Iran. Not only are they an enemy of Israel, which Israel tends to be a stabilizing force in the Middle East, but Iran has been labeled by the United States Congress as a state sponsor of terrorism. Iran also provides support to terrorist groups around the world, according to the AJC.

President Trump is keenly aware of this, and it’s much of the reason why he’s taking steps to bring Iran to the negotiating table. Once Iran’s oil sales drop, he’s counting on that getting their attention.

“We don’t want to be tough on Iran, we don’t want to be tough on anybody but they just can’t have a nuclear weapon,” Trump told CNBC. 

Chicago is at a breaking point – decades of corruption, mismanagement, and open-border policies have left its black communities struggling while politicians funnel resources to illegal immigrants.

More than $51 million meant for drug recovery was stolen, $1.9 billion in federal housing funds sits untouched, and crime is skyrocketing as the cartel launders money through real estate.

(THE VERGE) — Google is joining Meta, Amazon, and other big tech companies in winding down its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs.

In a Wednesday memo to employees that I obtained (and you can read below), Google’s head of HR, Fiona Cicconi, said there will no longer be DEI hiring targets due to the company’s status as a federal contractor and recent “court decisions and US Executive Orders on this topic.” As the Wall Street Journal notes, Google also removed a line included in previous annual SEC reports saying that it’s “committed to making diversity, equity, and inclusion part of everything we do.”

Google spokesperson Chloe Cooper tells The Verge the company is “committed to creating a workplace where all our employees can succeed and have equal opportunities, and over the last year we’ve been reviewing our programs designed to help us get there.”

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants Trump present for direct talks with President Putin

President Trump has said he can bring an end to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and both sides have said they are interested in peace — if certain conditions are met.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will agree to direct talks with Russian President Putin only if certain individuals are present, according to Daily Post Nigeria.

“If people believe we must move to the diplomatic track, and I believe we are ready to move to the diplomatic track, there must be the U.S., Europe, Ukraine, and Russia [at the talks],” said Zelenskyy.

Feb. 5, 2025: 7:15 p.m.:

USPS restores delivery of packages from China and Hong Kong

Turns out that the indefinite hold on delivery for packages from China and Hong Kong was short lived. The announcement was made on Tuesday by USPS, but rescinded Wednesday after USPS and China had an opportunity to work out an “efficient collection mechanism”  for President Trump’s tariff increase on China. USPS announced the change in a statement picked up by Quartz.
