The only way to ‘Make America Healthy Again’

Beautiful little babies born without arms, or without legs, or suffering other extreme deformities. I still remember, as a young boy, paging through the latest issue of Life magazine and seeing all these shocking and heart-breaking photos. An estimated 10,000 children had been born with such severe deformities in a short period of time, most of them in Europe, though a small number in the U.S.

Introduced as a sedative to help pregnant women with morning sickness, anxiety or sleeplessness, thalidomide has long been regarded as the cause of one of the greatest medical scandals in world history.

That was 1962. Two years later, in 1964, the surgeon general of the United States revealed with maximum publicity that smoking tobacco – at the time widespread, heavily advertised and glorified throughout the culture – causes cancer. Oops.

Fast forward to today, in a time of much greater scientific and medical knowledge, experience and supposedly far stricter drug-testing requirements … and everything is worse.

How can that possibly be?

A brief overview of Americans’ alarmingly declining health demonstrates conclusively that “Make America Healthy Again,” the new Trump administration agenda inspired and led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., couldn’t be more vital – indeed, crucial. Consider:

* The U.S. is in the grip of a full-blown obesity epidemic, with well over 200 million Americans – including millions of children – being overweight or obese. According to the CDC, over 40% of adults in the United States are clinically obese – a serious medical condition – in stark contrast with the 1950s, when approximately 10% of U.S. adults were obese.

* The number of American children and adults with autism spectrum disorders has exploded, rising by 175% over just the last decade. One out of every 36 children in the U.S. has been diagnosed with autism, up from 1 in 44 as recently as 2021. In contrast, during the 1950s, autism was virtually nonexistent, afflicting between 0.01% and 0.05% of Americans born during that decade.

* Early-onset cancer cases rose almost 80% over the last three decades and show no signs of slowing down. One major 2022 study reveals the incidence of early-onset cancers – including breast, colon, esophagus, kidney, liver and pancreas – has been dramatically increasing since around 1990.

* A staggering 38 million Americans are suffering from diabetes, a number expected to increase to almost 55 million in the next five years. During the late 1950s, the prevalence of diabetes in the U.S. was estimated to be 9 cases per 1,000 people, for a total of 1 million cases.

What’s going on? Why is the health of Americans degrading so radically? With the rapid growth of knowledge and technology, including medical technology, one might expect the exact opposite to be the case – that everyone’s health would be ever improving.

Yet Americans are becoming less and less healthy, including, tragically, the nation’s children. Statistics vary, but as many as half of America’s children are dealing with some sort of chronic health issue, up from less than 1% five decades ago.

Obviously, with Americans’ health in crisis, the goal to “Make America Healthy Again” is welcome and necessary. But there’s one major obstacle to achieving this goal that needs to be addressed up front.

They all lied

As deadly and traumatizing as the COVID-19 pandemic was, it did bring about a mass awakening in at least one important area: Americans discovered they absolutely could not trust the government agencies tasked with safeguarding their health. From the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, to the Food and Drug Administration, to the National Institutes of Health and other branches of the federal Department of Health and Human Services, they all lied to Americans, either explicitly or by willful suppression of the truth.

Most visible, of course – and setting the standard for all other government bureaucrats – was Dr. Anthony Fauci, longtime director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, under the NIH. Fauci acted the part of the kindly, grandfatherly presidential adviser on all things COVID. Unfortunately, he turned out to be a classic sociopath, smiling while lying about virtually everything – from mask-wearing (he initially admitted the truth, that masks are ineffective, only later doing a full 180 and insisting on universal masking, even outdoors!) to imposing the “six-foot rule” (later admitting this arbitrary rule was based on exactly zero science), to perversely denying that natural immunity provided ideal protection against COVID-19 just as it does for other viruses – a pivotal and unconscionable lie that flung open the doors to ruthless vaccine mandates.

Some of Fauci’s lies were not only dangerous, but jaw-droppingly corrupt – like his insistence that COVID-19 arose spontaneously from an open-air food market in Wuhan, China, rather than from the level-4 biohazard research facility just a few blocks up the street (the Wuhan Institute of Virology) where ongoing mad-scientist “gain-of-function research” – funded by the NIH at Fauci’s direction – was focused on rendering bat coronaviruses more dangerous and more transmissible to humans.

Meanwhile, the CDC and FDA perversely denigrated and mocked the use of ivermectin, a Nobel Prize-honored drug that had saved literally millions of lives from various other deadly infectious diseases, as documented in the peer-reviewed “Journal of Antibiotics.” Yet despite multiple studies proving ivermectin to be an effective and life-saving early treatment for COVID-19, it was ridiculed mercilessly by the federal health bureaucracies and their news media “echo chamber.” Similar story with hydroxychloroquine.

Why did they all lie, mocking and discouraging Americans from taking advantage of these drugs, whose safety was long-acknowledged by the FDA, and which could have saved many more lives and enormously reduced suffering during the COVID pandemic?

That’s easy: They maniacally wanted every man, woman and child in America to take “the jab” – that is, the various experimental mRNA COVID-19 shots that turned out to be some of the most problem-ridden vaccines in medical history.

Clearly, the medical bureaucracies within Big Government have not been worthy of Americans’ trust. Nor has Big Pharma, which has proven itself to be far more motivated by gargantuan profits than safeguarding human lives.

Fortunately, figuring out what’s destroying Americans’ health and reducing or eliminating the causes doesn’t require the cooperation of bloated, power-obsessed government bureaucracies, nor of giant profit-obsessed mega-businesses.

It’s not that complicated. In fact, the fundamentals couldn’t be more obvious.

‘Mass poisoned by Big Pharma and Big Food’

As noted earlier, until the early 1960s, millions of Americans smoked tobacco with no awareness of its serious health consequences. It was cool, sophisticated and relaxing. Indeed, even medical doctors and surgeons were frequently depicted in the movies as smoking cigarettes, perhaps to add character and drama to their portrayal.

Then, suddenly Americans learned that smoking tobacco causes cancer. On Jan. 11, 1964, the federal government released “Smoking and Health: Report of the Advisory Committee to the Surgeon General of the Public Health Service.” Ever since, cigarette packages are required by law to include this or a similar warning: “SURGEON GENERAL’S WARNING: Smoking Causes Lung Cancer, Heart Disease, Emphysema, and May Complicate Pregnancy.”

Today, America is basically where it was before the surgeon general’s warning about tobacco – but now it’s with regard to many of the food and drug products hundreds of millions consume daily.

Strangely, even though the food everyone consumes literally becomes the very substance of their bodies, most people somehow assume that what they eat has little or no effect on their health and wellbeing. This represents a monumental rejection of reality that “Make America Healthy Again” hopes to remedy.

In reality, insists RFK Jr., Americans are being “mass poisoned by Big Pharma and Big Food.” He claims the federal agencies tasked with looking out for the public’s interest not only have failed to stop the poisoning, but have enabled it. The result, he says, is an unprecedented and worsening epidemic of chronic disease in the U.S.

Thus, three days before the Nov. 5, 2024 election, Kennedy announced that Donald Trump “asked me to end the chronic disease epidemic in this country. And he said, ‘I want to see results, measurable results in the diminishment of chronic disease within two years.’ And I said, Mr. President, I will do that.”

To say that Kennedy is not a fan of the processed, sweetened and chemicalized “foods” that tens of millions of Americans consume daily is an understatement. He often ridicules “Big Food” products like McDonald’s French fries and highly sweetened and artificially colored breakfast cereals like Cap’n Crunch and Fruit Loops as food products sold in the U.S. that include ingredients banned in other countries.

“It’s easy to fix,” he said a week before November’s election. “We have a thousand ingredients in our foods that are illegal in Italy and other countries in Europe.” And Donald Trump, adds Kennedy, agrees with his plans to “get the chemicals out” of the foods Americans are eating.

Then there is the strange obsession with vaccines – all vaccines, regardless of their safety, effectiveness or appropriateness – which now constitutes something of a quasi-religion in America. For example, parents of all newborn children are pressured to give their one-day-old baby a vaccine shot to protect them from contracting a disease (Hepatitis B) that can be transmitted only by having sex or using an infected drug-user’s hypodermic needle. Yet, if you question the wisdom or timing of this, you are denounced as an “anti-vaxxer!” RFK Jr. is justified in trying to bring some common sense and science into the hysteria that many – generally on the political and cultural left – have over vaccines.

Regarding the decades-old vaccine-autism issue, ridiculed endlessly by the media and Big Pharma, Kennedy says vaccines are not “the only cause of autism,” but explains: “Our kids today are swimming around in a toxic soup coming mainly from their foods that operate along the same biological pathways. But some of it’s coming from pharmaceutical drugs.”

Far from being “anti-vaccine,” Kennedy says he just seeks to “restore the transparency” surrounding vaccines. And Trump has promised to finally get to the bottom of the supposed vaccine-autism link.

Yet another big issue is that of pesticides and herbicides like Roundup commonly used by farmers, also a concern of Kennedy’s. Roundup’s active ingredient, glyphosate, has been classified by some major organizations, including the International Agency for Research on Cancer, as “probably carcinogenic to humans.” Indeed, some people have filed lawsuits against Bayer AG, the pharma company that acquired pesticide-maker Monsanto, alleging Roundup caused their cancer. This obviously deserves scrutiny, especially since glyphosate is found in far more food products than most Americans would imagine. This is one of the main reasons, in turn, that more Americans than ever are choosing to serve their families organically grown foods.

So there is hope. Even before Donald Trump’s inauguration – perhaps seeing the writing on the wall pursuant to the new “Make America Healthy Again” mission – the FDA at long last officially banned the common food dye known as “Red 3” from all food products, due to its long-known cancer risk.

As FDA Deputy Commissioner for Human Foods Jim Jones explained, “Evidence shows cancer in laboratory male rats exposed to high levels of FD&C Red No. 3.” The synthetic dye, made from petroleum, gives food products like children’s cereals and candies a “bright cherry-red color,” the FDA acknowledged.

Currently, almost 3,000 foods Americans are eating are known to contain Red No. 3.

(Note: Although “Red 3,” or Erythrosine, is now officially banned from all foods, dietary supplements and medicines, food manufacturers have until January 2027, and drug manufacturers until January 2028, to actually get the red out.)

Ironically, the exact same red dye was banned from cosmetics nearly 35 years ago due to the same risk – cancer. Dr. Peter Lurie, director of the group Center for Science in the Public Interest, which led the petition effort to ban the dye, said: “This is a welcome, but long overdue, action from the FDA: removing the unsustainable double standard in which Red 3 was banned from lipstick but permitted in candy.”

You are what you eat

Finally, a 35,000-foot view: When considering the specter of massive numbers of people suffering grievously from eating the wrong foods and/or putting dangerous substances into their bodies – all because some entity, pretending to care about them but harboring a hidden agenda, persuaded them to do so – it may be edifying to reflect on the obvious spiritual/biblical parallels.

According to the Book of Genesis, the downfall and corruption of the first man and woman, a lasting consequence inherited by all of their progeny, down to the present day, centered around their having been seduced – by an entity pretending to care about them but harboring a hidden agenda – into eating the wrong food, in defiance of God’s specific command.

Likewise, as is proclaimed boldly throughout the New Testament, every person’s redemption, healing, salvation and eternal happiness has something to do – in a mystical and spiritual, yet very real way – with partaking of the right heavenly “food,” the body and blood of Jesus Christ, Who frequently referred to Himself as the “bread of life” and Who offers “living water.” This is reinforced and re-experienced every time a Christian believer participates in communion.

Of course, the earthly food we eat every day does not save our souls. Yet it seems, at least to the Creator of the universe and of mankind, that there is something about making the right eating choices that can be pretty important to our wellbeing.

All of which is just to say that our choices as to the food we eat, and whatever other substances we put into our bodies, are truly consequential. Our bodies are temples of the living God, according to Scripture. So let us not defile ourselves with substances that are contaminated, adulterated, corrupted or forbidden … no matter how appealing they may be.

As Adam might well have said after the Fall: Trust me, it’s not worth it.

‘Fire their asses’: Trump’s order to reinstate with back pay isn’t enough for many service members ousted over vax mandate

President Donald Trump recently signed a series of executive orders for the military, addressing transgenderism, diversity, COVID-19 and more.

One of them offers to reinstate service members forced out of the military as a result of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s now-rescinded August 2021 vaccine mandate.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem will be tasked with ensuring both active and reserve components of the military who request reinstatement will be restored to their prior rank and provided back pay and benefits.

Fox News recently reported that, according to a White House fact sheet, “After the vaccine mandate was repealed in 2023, only 43 of the more than the 8,000 troops dismissed elected to return to service under the Biden Administration and Secretary Austin.”

According to Trump’s EO, “Federal Government redress of any wrongful dismissals is overdue.” For many, it’s a big step in the right direction, but is it enough to persuade former members of the military to return to service? This writer has personally spoken to hundreds of service members over the past three years who desire accountability for the military’s unlawful enforcement of the shot mandate.

Specifically, 10 USC §1107a codifies that servicemembers must have the right to informed consent, which was not provided to them during the Biden administration. Each should have had the option to accept or refuse the shot, but rather, most were either coerced or booted from service.

Additionally, 21 USC § 360bbb requires that products with Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) can be used only when there is no other approved drug available. Yet prior to the FDA pulling the trigger on a vaccine authorized for “emergency use only,” effective drugs including ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine were available.

Yet for many service members, the experimental injection was the their only option to remain in the military. Those who objected were uniformly denied. Many others attempting to avoid the shot were coerced. In fact, in a survey conducted by this writer in 2022 and published by the Epoch Times, “More than 72 percent of individuals serving in the U.S. military who responded to a survey said they felt ‘coerced’ into receiving a COVID-19 vaccine and/or booster after the Pentagon’s 2021 vaccine mandate.”

So, while many are thankful for Trump’s order, some former and current members of the U.S. military are also seeking accountability for the wrongs they’ve endured.

WorldNetDaily spoke to John Frankman, a former Army Captain and Special Forces Green Beret whose career was cut short because of the mandate. He is “incredibly grateful” that Trump signed the executive order to reinstate service members.

Yet, while he is thankful the order is “a little more inclusive” than he expected, he said, “it needs to be much broader.” He suggested the inclusion of “help for people to get their careers back on track, [considering] all the career losses, as well as the lost appointments, promotions and school opportunities.”

“It needs to include accountability,” Frankman added. “What hasn’t been acknowledged is that the order was illegal, that it violated religious rights, and that there are flag officers who broke the law and need to be held accountable for it.”

After all, with respect to accountability, President Trump once told Frankman, “Yeah … there would be accountability, is right. We’ll fire their asses.”

Accountability is extremely important to service members like Robert A. Green, Jr., an active duty Navy Commander and author of “Defending the Constitution Behind Enemy Lines,” who expressed his thoughts about the executive order on X. Interestingly, CDR Green is also author of the Declaration of Military Accountability, which was signed by 231 service members and veterans in an effort right the wrongs of the COVID-19 shot mandate.

While Green is thankful to President Trump for the executive order, he also admitted, “There is much work left to do.”

A big thanks to @POTUS for the order to reinstate, with full back pay, the service members kicked out solely for COVID shot refusal.

He even made provisions for the return of those who voluntarily resigned or retired to avoid the shot.

However, there is much work left to do:

-… pic.twitter.com/K7FA6S0ty9

— Rob Green (@RobGreen1010) January 28, 2025

Lt. Col. (ret.) Ivan Raiklin, a constitutional attorney, former Army Green Beret and advocate for service members booted over the shot took a more aggressive approach on X.

Until this “Reinstatement” order is amended to punish all involved in the implementation of the Fauci-Funded Wuhan Lab Incident that resulted in the coerced consumption of at times suicidal and in many instances self destructive unsafe and ineffective CCP-19 Emergency Use…

— Ivan Raiklin (@IvanRaiklin) January 28, 2025

WorldNetDaily also spoke to military whistleblower and retired Navy Medical Service Corps Lieutenant Ted Macie, who was also less than optimistic. Macie was forced out into retirement because of the COVID-19 shot.

The executive order, said Macie, “fails to address most of the main concerns of service members who have had to deal with this nightmare for the past four years.” He agreed that if this is “a starting point,” he appreciates the effort. “But if this is the final extent of how this administration plans to handle this travesty, you will not see the problem of recruiting and retention go away.”

“If one of the Trump administration’s intentions was to rebuild trust and fix the problems we have with recruiting and retention, and the lack of trust in leadership,” Macie added, “this executive order addresses none of that.”

Why does Macie and so many other service members feel this way? “Because there’s no accountability in this EO.” Hundreds, if not thousands of service members and veterans, desire accountability for the harms caused by Austin’s shot mandate.

Of great concern to Macie is Section 1(c) of the executive order which states: “Allow any service members who provide a written and sworn attestation that they voluntarily left the service or allowed their service to lapse according to appropriate procedures, rather than be vaccinated under the vaccine mandate, to return to service with no impact on their service status, rank, or pay.”

Macie explained, “The people that weren’t involuntarily separated, but let their contracts expire [to avoid taking the shot], they don’t get back pay?” Considering all this, the executive order is “a Band-Aid” that misses the mark on what most members of the military need to return to service as well as the accountability thousands hope to see. “What does bringing people back into the military do for accountability?” he asked.

Retired Air Force Col. John McAfee, and primary author of a proposed executive order, hopes a poll on X will help discover whether veterans will “Sign up” or “Stay out.”

For the vets affected by the COVID 19 mandate, will https://t.co/5AN1PH816g cause you to

— John S McAfee (@JohnSMcAfee) January 28, 2025

Within 60 days of the executive order, Hegseth and Noem are expected to report to President Trump on the progress of reinstatement.

IDF selects next chief of staff to replace Halevi

February 2, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: THE NEWS, WND

(IDF)

(IDF)
JERUSALEM – On Saturday, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz tapped Maj. Gen. (res.) Eyal Zamir to be the Israel Defense Forces’ next chief of staff.

He is set to take up his post on March 6, becoming the IDF’s 24th chief of staff, following the incumbent Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi’s resignation in the wake of the intelligence failures on Oct. 7, 2023.

This is Eyal Zamir, the incoming 24th chief of staff of the IDF. Let’s all wish him a lot of good luck in his new position! pic.twitter.com/eNnEKifLy9

— Uri Kurlianchik (@VerminusM) February 1, 2025

Zamir, 59, who was considered one of the front-runners for the post, is the current director general of the Defense Ministry, will be the first IDF chief to come out of the Armored Corps since David (Dado) Elazar in the 1970s, according to the Jewish News Syndicate. Zamir, however, becomes the first IDF chief of staff to commence his military career in the Armored Corps.

It must be hoped Zamir’s tenure is more successful than both his immediate predecessor Halevi, and Elazar, who despite being a talented general, was found accountable by the Agranat Commission in 1974 for the IDF’s lack of preparedness ahead of the Yom Kippur War. These two examples highlight how costly allowing the military to get into such a state – whether they were directly responsible for it or not – is for a chief of staff.

Previously, Zamir served as deputy chief of staff from 2018 to 2021, and before that, he led the Southern Command from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, he was Netanyahu’s military secretary.

Netanyahu and Katz’s choice is not a rubber stamp, Zamir’s appointment – like the chief of police or the governorship of the Bank of Israel – must be vetted by the Senior Appointments Advisory Committee. Following progress through that body, a nominee is confirmed via a cabinet vote.

Halevi, who had long been expected to resign when the fighting in Gaza and Lebanon had wound down somewhat – although it could pick up again if the fragile ceasefires are broken – had only served around half of the usual four-year chief of staff term. However, he congratulated his successor.

“I have known Eyal for many years, and I am sure that he will lead the IDF forward in the face of the expected challenges and wish him great success,” Halevi said in a statement Saturday.

“In the coming weeks, we will complete a professional and high-quality handover,” he added.

With Halevi’s deputy Maj. Gen. Amir Baram standing down at the end of February, it is not immediately clear who Zamir’s number two will be. Zamir will be responsible for appointing numerous commanders, both as a result of appointments being on hold during the Swords of Iron war, and because several senior generals are expected to follow Halevi’s lead and resign following the failures of Oct. 7.

As with every major decision to affect Israel, there have been proponents for Zamir’s elevation to chief of staff, while others have opposed it, in favor of others such as Maj. Gen. David Zini, who currently has the unenviable task of attempting to recruit ultra-Orthodox soldiers into the IDF.

In Zamir’s favor is his hard-line stance on the Iranian nuclear threat, as well as his spearheading of efforts to greatly ramp up domestic weapons production assuaging fears there was an over reliance on foreign imports.

What are they hiding? Female helicopter pilot’s entire social media scrubbed before Army releases her name

February 2, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: THE NEWS, WND

Rebecca Lobach

On Saturday, the U.S. Army released the name of the pilot of the U.S. Army Blackhawk helicopter that flew into a passenger jet landing at Reagan National Airport.

The crash was on Wednesday. The third pilot’s name, Rebecca Lobach, was finally released on Saturday, three days later.

All 64 passengers in the jet were killed. The three pilots in the Black Hawk helicopter also died in the explosive crash.

Kristinn Taylor at The Gateway Pundit reported:

After withholding at the request of the family the name of the female pilot killed in the mid-air collision Wednesday night between an Army Black Hawk helicopter and a PSA/American Airlines passenger plane on final approach to Reagan National Airport near Washington, D.C., the Army issued a statement Saturday afternoon from her family identifying the pilot as 28-year-old Capt. Rebecca Lobach from Durham, N.C.

The other two soldiers killed in the crash previously identified by the Army are Staff Sgt. Ryan Austin O’Hara, 28, of Lilburn, Georgia, and Chief Warrant Officer 2 Andrew Loyd Eaves, 39, of Great Mills, Maryland.

Lobach was part of a three-man crew flying a training mission for “continuity of government” down the Potomac River when the collision occurred, killing all three crew members on the Black Hawk based at nearby Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and all 60 passengers and four crew members on the flight out of Wichita, Kansas.

Lobach, who had over 450 hours of flying experience, recently served as a military social aide at the Biden White House.

It took the US Army and Rebecca’s family three days to scrub her social media accounts. They really don’t want the public to know anything about this female pilot.

‘That is a scandal’: JD Vance unloads on Obama and Biden’s denial of white air-traffic controllers ‘because of the color of their skin’

February 2, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: THE NEWS, WND

Vice President JD Vance (Video screenshot)

Vice President JD Vance (Video screenshot)

PALM BEACH, Florida – Vice President JD Vance is doubling down on President Donald’s Trump’s suggestion that woke hiring policies of the Obama and Biden administrations may have been factors in the deadly collision between an American Airlines flight and a military helicopter that killed 67 people at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport last week.

Appearing on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo, Vance explained: “Here’s the specific way in which I think the DEI policies of the last administration, the Obama administration contributed to where we are.

“We have a massive shortage of air-traffic controllers and, in fact, there have been a number of lawsuits from people who would like to become air-traffic controllers against the Obama and Biden administration who basically said we were told not even to the apply because of the color of our skin, because they were white people who wanted to be air-traffic controllers, and under the DEI regime of the Biden administration, they weren’t welcome.

“What does that mean? Number one, it means we don’t have the best and the brightest sometimes in these positions. But even more importantly than that, even when we do get really good people, they’re going to be way overstressed because they’re working long hours, because air-traffic controllers are short staffed.

“And we have known going back years … I was on the Commerce Committee in the Senate. We knew for years that we had a shortage at air-traffic control.

“Well, part of the reason why we had a shortage at air-traffic control is because we were telling our air-traffic controllers not to hire people because of the color of their skin. That is a scandal, and it is a scandal, thankfully, that has stopped under the leadership of President Trump.

“It’s why I’m actually optimistic about aviation safety, but it’s also why we’ve had too many near misses and, unfortunately, a fatal crash just a couple days ago.”

Is the news we hear every day actually broadcasting messages from God? The answer is an absolute yes! Find out how!

Bartiromo asked the vice president: “Do you have any if evidence that any of those hires that were there at the control Wednesday night were DEI hires?”

Vance replied: “The president’s been very clear about, this is in the saying that the person who was at the controls is a DEI hire, but let’s just say, first of all, we should investigate everything. But let’s just say the person at the controls didn’t have enough staffing around him or her because we were turning people away because of DEI reasons.

There is a very correct connection between the policies of the last administration and short-staffed air-traffic controllers. That has to stop. And, by the way, it’s so funny the me, the media has … picked up on this. The president made very clear that he wasn’t blaming anybody, but he was being very explicit about the fact that DEI policies have led our air-traffic controllers to be short staffed.

“That is a scandal. Thankfully, the it’s a scandal that the president has stopped.”

— WorldNetDaily (@worldnetdaily) February 2, 2025

Vance was also asked if he plans to run for president in 2028.

“We’ll see what happens come 2028,” he responded.

“The best thing for my future is actually the best thing for the American people which is that we do a really good job over the next three and a half years. So, we’ll cross the political bridge when we come to it.

“I’m not thinking about running for president. I’m thinking about doing a good job for the American people and I think the best way to do that is to make sure President Trump is a success.”

Israeli hostage free from Hamas torture, but his nightmare continues

JERUSALEM – Three more Israeli hostages were released Saturday as the first phase of the ceasefire continues to hold with a slow drip of captured Israelis being exchanged in a one-sided shakedown with Palestinian security prisoners. One of those released was Israeli civilian Yarden Bibas, about whose wife, Shiri and two young sons, Ariel, and Kfir, four years old and nine months, respectively, at the time of their kidnapping, there is increasing concern for their well-being.

Where other captives – whether under Hamas duress or a palpable sense of relief their release – have managed to crack a smile, Yarden Bibas looked a broken man. And if the gruesome details of his illegal incarceration are anything to go by, entirely unsurprising he seems as though the weight of the world is resting on his shoulders. His father and sister welcomed him back to Israel, where he did manage to smile at the reunion. He was also reunited with his mother, although the family have said, “A quarter of our heart is back – respect his privacy.” He survived captivity with “immense bravery and has now returned to an unbearable reality.”

Palestinians have released Yarden Bibas in an exchange for their convicts.

He was released alone, without his wife and children. Their fate remains unconfirmed but they were not released with the women.

Quickly on Saturday, Israeli outlets began to report Bibas, and another hostage freed yesterday, Ofer Calderon, were beaten and held in cages in the early days of their captivity. Worse was to befall Bibas, as seemingly for all the time he was held, his Hamas captors would frequently torment him about the fate of his wife and children. Bibas was wounded and abducted from Kibbutz Nir Oz – in which 1 out of every 4 residents was either murdered or kidnapped – during the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas invasion and massacre of southern Israel. Footage showed him desperate to reach his family, who were taken separately.

Officially, Israel is unaware of the rest of the Bibas family’s condition, although the IDF has expressed “grave concern” over their fate, with effectively nothing being heard from or about them, since Hamas claimed in 2024 they died in captivity. The terrorist group likes to ratchet up the national psychological torture by suggesting they died in an airstrike or the IDF operating in the area, and Israel’s demand last week for further information from Hamas either about their whereabouts or condition was stonewalled.

Yarden Bibas was forced to participate in a macabre Hamas propaganda video in November 2023, in which the psychopaths who took him, filmed his response to being told his wife and children were dead. As of February 2025 it is still not clear what has happened to his family, but the fact his captors would treat him this way is an indication of the kind of barbarity Israel is dealing with.

Yarden Bibas was last seen in the world’s cruelest hostage video in November 2023, breaking down on camera because Hamas told him his wife and kids were dead. https://t.co/HEhySdQ3b4 pic.twitter.com/3WlZLGHBAV

— Eylon Levy (@EylonALevy) February 1, 2025

Indeed, there was some concern among hospital staff for Bibas’ health upon his repatriation, although this was somewhat mollified when he was seen to smile. However, and without diminishing the experiences of those former hostages already released, there is an admittance his return to any semblance of psychological balance will likely be a longer road, considering the brutality of his treatment.

The stories emerging from the other hostages paint a picture of extreme deprivation of food, sunlight, and basic human needs. Hostages were frequently moved between safe houses and tunnels, with many kept in solitary confinement, and subjected to forced labor.

For the other former hostages, with the exception of Bibas, their nightmare in one sense is at an end. There are those who will rejoice knowing their partner and/or children either survived the Hamas onslaught on Oct. 7 or they were previously released in the November 2023 deal.

For others there will be pain and tears, now knowing their loved ones did not manage to escape the inferno which engulfed southern Israel on that black Sabbath. However, for Yarden Bibas, there is only uncertainty and emptiness for the family he so desperately hopes will be returned to him.

Ominous: Israel gives released Palestinian prisoners bracelets with powerful Bible quote

Released Palestinian prisoners given bracelets with powerful Bible quote

Palestinian prisoners released in the third and fourth rounds of the hostage deal’s first phase received bracelets from the Israel Prison Service with an Arabic inscription from the Book of Psalms, reading: “The eternal nation does not forget; I will pursue my enemies and overtake them.”

Signs with the same message were displayed in IPS detention facilities as part of a psychological campaign alongside the prisoner releases. The translation on the bracelets was written in formal Arabic, which many prisoners struggled to understand, according to Ynet.

“No matter what they write, will it change anything?” a Palestinian Prisoners Affairs official said. “It’s a gesture of provocation and threat, but beyond that, it has no meaning. All the prisoners removed IPS-issued clothing, including the bracelet meant to insult them.”

The International Red Cross criticized the IPS, arguing the method of shackling and the use of the bracelets harmed the prisoners. During the release process, one prisoner felt unwell and was treated by IPS medical staff.

Israel released 183 prisoners on Saturday – 143 were transferred from Ketziot Prison in the Negev to Gaza, eight were deported to Egypt and 32 were released to Judea and Samaria from Ofer Prison, after which celebrations were held in Ramallah.

Trump to ISIS: ‘WE WILL FIND YOU, AND WE WILL KILL YOU’

In fewer than 14 days, the Trump 2.0 administration has shown more resolve and willingness to take on America’s enemies across the world than former U.S. President Joe Biden, former Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, and former Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, managed in four unimpressive years.

On Saturday, President Trump directed a military attack on a high-ranking ISIS leader and his cohorts in Somalia – sending a resounding message to terrorists the world over in just his second week in office, the New York Post reported.

Trump announced the bold airstrikes on his Truth Social network: “These killers, who we found hiding in caves, threatened the United States and our Allies. The strikes destroyed the caves they live in, and killed many terrorists without, in any way, harming civilians.

“The message to ISIS and all others who would attack Americans is that ‘WE WILL FIND YOU, AND WE WILL KILL YOU!’” Trump warned.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said “multiple operatives were killed” in the airstrikes, further degrading “ISIS’s ability to plot and conduct terrorist attacks threatening U.S. citizens, our partners, and innocent civilians.” He added the U.S. forces worked with Somali authorities to carry out the offensive.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu departed for Washington on Sunday, where he is set to meet with senior US officials and U.S. President Donald Trump in a high-level diplomatic visit, the Jerusalem Post reported.

Before boarding his flight, Netanyahu emphasized the importance of the meeting, stating:

“I am now heading to Washington for a very important meeting with President Trump. The fact this will be his first meeting with a foreign leader since his inauguration holds great significance for the State of Israel.”

“First and foremost, it reflects the strength of the alliance between Israel and the United States. Secondly, it highlights the depth of our bond – a bond that has already yielded great achievements for Israel and the region, including the historic peace agreements between Israel and four Arab states – the Abraham Accords, led by President Trump.”

Hamas captors psychologically tormented Yarden Bibas with incessant talk of wife, kids

Released hostage Yarden Bibas was taunted by his Hamas captors about the fate of his wife and children during his nearly 16 months in captivity, Hebrew media outlets reported Saturday upon his return to Israel on the 14th day of the ceasefire-hostage deal.

Bibas, 35, was released by Hamas on Saturday morning along with Ofer Calderon, 54, in a handover in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis. American-Israeli hostage Keith Siegel, 65, was released almost two hours later at the Gaza City port.

Bibas was wounded and abducted from Kibbutz Nir Oz during the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas invasion and massacre in southern Israel.

His wife Shiri and their two sons were taken separately. At the time, Kfir was 10 months old and Ariel was 4.
Hours after their abduction, a video circulated of Shiri, holding both boys in her arms, a look of terror on her face as she was surrounded by terrorists. The footage became a symbol of the cruelty of the Hamas-led onslaught, according to the Times of Israel.

Hamas claimed last year that Shiri and the two children had been killed in captivity, and while Israel has not confirmed the claim, it has expressed “grave concern” for their fate and last week reportedly demanded the terror group clarify their condition, to no avail.

Israel conducted a series of airstrikes on terrorist cells in Jenin and Qabatiya in northern Samaria on Saturday, thwarting an “imminent terrorist attack,” the military said on Sunday morning, according to the Jewish News Syndicate.

Secondary explosions were observed after the Israeli Air Force strike in Qabatiya, indicating the presence of explosives in the terrorists’ vehicle. According to the Israel Defense Forces, the cell had been en route to carry out an attack.

The strike neutralized terrorists Saleh Zakarneh and Abed al-Hadi Kamil, the latter of whom was released by Israel in November 2023 as part of the Gaza ceasefire agreement with Hamas.

An IAF aircraft also carried out two strikes against armed terrorist cells in Jenin. The strikes come amid a large-scale Israeli counterterrorism operation launched last month to destroy terrorist infrastructure in Jenin and surrounding areas in northern Samaria.

Iranian dissident group: Iran secretly developing nuclear capable warheads which could reach Europe

If the West doesn’t stop this it will be one of their biggest mistakes ever.

An Iranian exiled opposition group announced on Friday it has evidence showing the Islamic Republic is secretly developing nuclear-capable warheads designed for missiles that can reach Europe.

The Islamic Republic is developing nuclear warheads for solid-fuel missiles with a range exceeding 3,000 kilometers (1,864 miles) at the Shahroud missile site in northeastern Iran, the National Council of Resistance of Iran said in a press conference in Washington, D.C. This radius would obviously put Israel and many parts of Europe within the missiles’ range.

The group cited the source of the allegation as its network of members inside Iran, without elaborating, according to Iran International.

“Additionally, a missile facility on the outskirts of Semnan, approximately 220 kilometers east of Tehran, is working to produce liquid-fuel missiles with nuclear warheads,” the group announced on Friday. “This effort is being directed by the Organization for Advanced Defense Research, the entity established to consolidate Iran’s nuclear weapons activities.”

Tehran denies seeking nuclear weapons and says it is engaged in peaceful scientific research. The CIA assessed last year Iran has not yet decided to pursue a bomb, although Israel says it believes Tehran seeks nuclear arms, and the destruction in October of a secret undeclared nuclear facility would seem to give credence to this.

Maj. Gen. Eyal Zamir named as IDF’s new chief of staff

The Israeli government has named Maj. Gen. (res.) Eyal Zamir as the next chief of staff of the Israel Defense Forces, replacing Lt.-Gen. Herzi Halevi.

Zamir, a former deputy chief of staff and director-general of the Defense Ministry, was the leading candidate for the position since the early days of the war, following Halevi’s acceptance of responsibility for the failures of Oct. 7, reported Ynet.

Zamir, who previously served as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s military secretary, was widely seen as the most experienced and suitable choice. His appointment marks the second time in recent history that a defense ministry director-general has transitioned directly into the IDF’s top position, following Lt. Gen. (res.) Gabi Ashkenazi’s appointment in 2007 after the failures of the Second Lebanon War.

As chief of staff, Zamir will face the immense challenge of rebuilding the IDF after months of intense combat, implementing a long-term restructuring plan and preparing the military for multi-front conflicts rather than the traditional two-front model. He will also have to navigate the political and military complexities surrounding the draft exemption for ultra-Orthodox men, a contentious issue that has placed strain on the IDF’s manpower needs.

Released British-Israeli hostage Emily Damari has revealed that Palestinian terrorists kept her in United Nations-funded facilities, the Jewish Chronicle reported.

Damari, speaking on the phone to Prime Minister Keir Starmer, said she had been kept in facilities belonging to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency and denied access to medical treatment.

In the phone call on Friday morning, Damari, 28, and her mother Mandy, thanked the PM and everyone in the U.K. who campaigned for her release.

Starmer said that he was overjoyed by the “heartwarming” images of Damari reuniting with her mother and invited her to visit 10 Downing Street after she recovers from the 15-month ordeal.

On the call, the prime minister enquired about Damari’s condition after her return, to which her mother said she “seems to be doing pretty well psychologically” although she will have a long road ahead of her considering the physical injuries she sustained.

Speaking with Starmer, the mother and daughter urged the British government to increase pressure on Hamas and UNRWA to grant the International Committee of the Red Cross access to the dozens of hostages still held captive in Gaza.

Three hostages abducted during the Oct. 7, 2023, attack were released by Hamas on Saturday under an ongoing ceasefire deal with the terrorist group, returning to Israel 484 days after they were taken from their communities near the Gaza border and kidnapped to the Strip.

Ofer Calderon, 54, and Yarden Bibas, 35, were released to the International Red Cross in south Gaza’s Khan Younis on Saturday morning, and Keith Siegel, 65, was handed over almost two hours later at the Gaza City port, the Times of Israel reported.

The releases were far more controlled than the chaos surrounding the Thursday release of three Israelis and five Thai nationals.

Hamas set up stages at both locations, with Calderon and Bibas freed soon after 8:30 a.m. and Siegel after 10 a.m.

Representatives of the International Red Cross sat at desks on the stages to sign the so-called handover documents produced by the terrorist group.

Anti-Israel organizations hit with class action lawsuit for coordinating traffic blockades

Several anti-Israel organizations that blocked major roadways in Washington D.C. last year were slapped with a class action lawsuit Friday by a legal group representing a traveler trapped in the traffic jam, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

Left-wing groups, including Jewish Voice for Peace, the Palestinian Youth Movement and its fiscal sponsor, the Westchester Political Action Committee Foundation, among others, shut down access to several major roadways in D.C. on Feb. 1, 2024, for close to an hour. A total of 23 anti-Israel activists were arrested on charges of “crowding, obstructing or incommoding.” Three were also charged with resisting arrest.

The keffiyeh-clad activists chained themselves together in the middle of highways while others linked arms with PVC pipes, forming human chains to block roads. Many of the activists held signs that said, “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Must be Free,” and chanted slogans including “We Don’t Want No Jewish State” and “If We Don’t Get It, Shut It Down!”

The Hamilton Lincoln Law Institute filed its lawsuit Friday on behalf of Daniel Faoro, who was trapped by the blockade. They called the traffic jam “perhaps the most disruptive action by anti-Israel activists” and said commuters “were trapped in their vehicles with no inkling as to when their freedom of movement would be restored.”

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Navy on Saturday revealed a new underground missile facility along the country’s southern coast, AFP reported, citing footage aired by state television.

The unveiling comes just two weeks after the force showcased an underground naval base, according to Israel National News.

“Hundreds of cruise missiles capable of countering enemy destroyers’ electronic warfare are stationed in these underground cities,” the Iranian report stated.

The facility, whose exact location was not disclosed, houses missile systems stored “hundreds of meters underground” and capable of being deployed swiftly.

“These systems and missiles can be armed and fired from hundreds of kilometers away and can hit targets far out at sea,” the report added.
Guards chief General Hossein Salami, accompanied by Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, who leads the naval arm, toured the newly revealed site.

Hamas spokesman Abu Obeida confirmed in a video statement Thursday that Muhammad Deif, the once-elusive commander of the terror group’s military wing, had been killed in an Israeli strike over the summer, the Times of Israel reported.

The terrorist group’s announcement came more than six months after Deif’s killing in a July 13 airstrike, with Hamas previously denying he had been killed. It also admitted the Oct. 7 mastermind had hidden – along with other Hamas commanders – in the middle of refugee tents and civilians on purpose, thinking it would prevent the IDF from targeting him.

Abu Obeida in his video statement also confirmed the deaths during the war of Marwan Issa, the deputy commander of Hamas’s military wing; Ghazi Abu Tama’a, head of combat support; Raad Thabet, the military wing chief of staff; Rafa’a Salameh, commander of the Khan Younis Brigade; Ayman Nofal, commander of the Central Gaza Brigade; and Ahmed Ghandour, commander of the Northern Gaza Brigade.

Retired Israeli Navy commander fears ceasefire, hostage deal contains hidden concessions

— The Jerusalem Post (@Jerusalem_Post) February 1, 2025

Retired Israeli Navy commander Maj.-Gen. (res.) Eliezer “Chayni” Marom, who served until recently as Israel’s Northern Project Coordinator, raised his concerns over Israel’s current ceasefire and hostage deal with Hamas, fearing hidden concessions, reported the Jerusalem Post.

Marom’s conversation with two Israeli radio personalities included a discussion about recent remarks made by U.S. President Donald Trump and the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon.

Regarding the ceasefire agreement with Hamas, which is currently in its first stage, Marom expressed concern over possible undisclosed concessions in the hostage deal.

“I hope there is nothing in this agreement which allows Hamas to remain in power. Their sudden generosity over the past week, after the Netzarim incident, when Israel closed the border crossing because they refused to transfer [recently released hostage Arbel] Yehoud to us, raised my suspicions,” he stated.

Marom further questioned whether Israel may have unknowingly compromised on some details that would allow Hamas to remain in power.

Marom then raised a question, asking, “What’s in this agreement that we haven’t been told? Hamas is acting like they got far more than what’s been made public, and that deeply concerns me.”

Syria’s interim president made his first trip abroad Sunday, traveling to Saudi Arabia in a move likely trying to signal Damascus’s shift away from Iran as its main regional ally, the Times of Israel reported.

Ahmed al-Sharaa, who was once aligned with al-Qaeda, traveled to Riyadh alongside his government’s foreign minister, Asaad al-Shibani. A photo published by the state-run SANA news agency showed the two men on a jet, likely provided by the kingdom, with a Saudi flag visible on the table behind them.

Saudi state television trumpeted the fact the first trip by al-Sharaa, first known internationally by the nom de guerre Abu Mohammed al-Julani, would make Riyadh his first destination.

A fresh spate of antisemitic incidents has been reported in the Sydney and Perth areas of Australia, following several similar cases on Thursday and amid an investigation into a likely anti-Semitic bomb plot.

In Bondi Beach near Sydney, detectives were searching on Sunday for three men suspected of throwing eggs at a group of Jewish women on Saturday night, the Jewish News Syndicate reported.

Also on Sunday, Australian police said vehicles and residences were damaged overnight with antisemitic graffiti in an area with a significant Jewish community in Sydney in eastern Australia, Reuters reported. The incidents occurred in Kingsford and Randwick, according to the New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies.

In the western city of Perth, graffiti featuring a swastika and the text “F**ck JEWS” was painted on a wall, according to the Australian Jewish Association. On X, the Association wrote: “It’s clear the Federal Government has lost control.”

On Sunday, Turkey said it had killed 23 Kurdish militants in northern Syria, the latest in a series of strikes against them which have continued since U.S. President Donald Trump took office last month, according to Reuters.

The defense ministry said the militants belonged to the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party, or PKK.

Turkey regards the PKK and YPG to be identical, while the United States views them as separate groups, having banned the PKK as terrorists but recruited the YPG as its main allies in Syria in the campaign against Islamic State.

Ankara has long called on Washington to withdraw support for the YPG, expressing hope Trump would revise the policy of the previous administration of Joe Biden.

‘Personal friendship’: Netanyahu comes to Washington for crucial talks with Trump

Benjamin Netanyahu (Video screenshot)

Benjamin Netanyahu (Video screenshot)

JERUSALEM – Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu flew to Washington, D.C., on Sunday morning as he heads for crucial talks later this week with U.S. President Donald Trump, with the two having a wide range of issues to discuss.

While Netanyahu becomes the first foreign leader to be hosted at the Trump 2.0 White House, there will likely be many dedicate negotiations, including the continuation (or not) of the current ceasefires with both Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon, the hostages-for-security prisoners “deal” with regard to the war with the Strip’s terrorist rulers, the situation with Iran’s nuclear ambitions, and the possibility of normalization with Saudi Arabia.

I’m leaving for a very important meeting with @realDonaldTrump in Washington.

At the steps of the Wings of Zion plane – Israel’s version of Air Force One – Netanyahu told reporters he thought the fact President Trump’s first meeting with a foreign leader was with him was “telling.”

“I think it’s a testimony to the strength of the Israeli-American alliance. It’s also a testimony to the strength of our personal friendship,” Netanyahu added.

The prime minister referenced the impact Trump – and his negotiating team – had in securing the Abraham Accords and the peace deals emanating from them, as Israel normalized relations with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan. Netanyahu explained Israel’s prosecution of its Swords of Iron war, initiated when Hamas invaded the country, bursting across its border and massacring more than 1,200 people, had “changed the face of the Middle East.”

With Hamas having admitted one of the catalysts for starting the war was the perception Israel-Saudi normalization were imminent, it seems its action worked; the Israel-Saudi normalization track has been all but shelved since Oct. 7, and it appears Riyadh will only offer it as part of a deal to put the Palestinians on a path to statehood.

“I believe we can strengthen security, broaden the circle of peace, and achieve a remarkable era of peace through strength,” Netanyahu said.

It is thought Netanyahu was specifically referencing the prospect of Israel-Saudi peace, with Israel’s Kan public broadcaster reporting Trump – who would likely have delivered normalization between the two if he had continued in office following the 2020 election – viewing peace between Jerusalem and Riyadh as part of the president’s vision for a “golden age of peace in the Middle East.”

Netanyahu’s visit comes at a fork in the road moment, as the negotiations for the second part of a complex three-part ceasefire deal are supposed to commence shortly, although the prime minister is likely keeping his options open until the conclusion of his discussions with Trump.

The prime minister has a tricky domestic political situation to manage, not least from his right-wing coalition partner Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich. On Trump’s election, Smotrich – who called the president a “lover of Israel” – said it was an opportunity to push for Israel’s annexation of Judea and Samaria.

“A great deal is at stake – complete victory in Gaza, the destruction of Hamas and the return of all our hostages, strengthening our security on all borders – in Syria, Lebanon, and of course against the head of the octopus, the Iranian regime and the nuclear threat. This danger must be removed,” Smotrich insisted on Sunday in a video message aimed at Netanyahu.

It is thought Netanyahu will hold a meeting with Trump’s Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff the day before he is due to hold talks with the president, regarding the initiation of the second stage of the hostage deal with Hamas. However, reports in Israel have emerged the prime minister is seriously considering a return to the war after the first phase of the deal has been completed.
