Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich challenges Americans to contact their senators, demand RFK Jr. confirmation

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich challenges Americans to contact their senators, demand RFK Jr. confirmation

The confirmation for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been quite the battle. Nevertheless, in spite of his “long and complicated life,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich believes that RFK Jr. should be given the position of Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Gingrich agrees with RJK Jr.’s assessment of America’s healthcare system: It’s actually a sick-care system, not a healthcare system.

“America spends more on sick-care, and Americans have gotten sicker,” Gingrich said in his Gingrich 360 Newsletter.

“If we stop focusing on insurance and sick-care – and instead focus on what sustains health and long life – we will get dramatic results. The population will be healthier and the system will be less expensive. We will save lives and money,” he said.

Gingrich believes that shifting the focus of the American people to “health rather than sickness – and prevention rather than treatment,” is a key focus for, “one of the great revolutions we need to make America healthy again.”

“Every citizen should contact their senators,” Gingrich insisted, “and demand Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation. Our lives, health, and finances will all improve if he can lead a national debate and force change on our deeply broken health care system.”

‘Too big to fail banks’ debank conservatives and faith groups

‘Too big to fail banks’ debank conservatives and faith groups

It seems somehow ironic that Banka of America and JP Morgan Chase, two of several banks deemed “too big to fail” back in the 2008 bank collapse, are now debanking conservatives and faith groups. At the time they were in trouble, President George W. Bush was getting ready to leave office, and Obama was stepping in with Joe Biden as his Vice President. Obama signed a bill into law nicknamed “The Wall Street Bailout Bill.” It was also known as the Frank-Dodd Act. Bank of America and JP Morgan Chase were two of several banks that were bailed out by taxpayer money.

Fast forward to 2025, the “too big to fail” banks are now singling out an increasing number of conservative groups and Christian leaders who say that the bank has closed their accounts, won’t process financial transactions or are “blacklisted” by the banks, according to CBN.

President Trump has referred to the actions of the two banks as “woke capitalism.”

New York Rep. Claudia Tenney wants to rename Israel’s West Bank, Trump supports change

New York Rep. Claudia Tenney wants to rename Israel’s West Bank, Trump supports change

Perhaps Representative Claudia Tenney (R-NY) felt emboldened by President Trump’s move to rename the Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America, and restore the name of Alaska’s Mt. McKinley. Nevertheless, it’s not the first time that Tenney has introduced a bill to rename the West Bank. Tenney wants it to be called “Judea and Samaria.” The name of her proposed bill is “Recognizing Judea and Samaria Act.”

“We need to make sure that we don’t allow the language, the tradition, the history of Israel, to be weaponized by terms like ‘West Bank,’” Tenney said in a room of hundreds last week at the re-launch party of the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus, according to The Media Line.

If passed, the bill will call for all official documents to use the names “Judea and Samaria” in place of West Bank.

“President Trump has said this is going to be a very priority task for him to get this done,” said Tenney. “It’s the beginning of us shifting the language, and what we’re doing and making sure that we always protect the historical homeland of the Jews, and that is in Israel, and Israel includes Judea and Samaria.”

Marco Rubio vows to ‘terminate’ agencies and programs that censor American people

Marco Rubio vows to ‘terminate’ agencies and programs that censor American people

Secretary of State Marco Rubio laid down the proverbial law for how it’s going to be so long as he’s in office from his very first day. He sent out a cable to each US diplomatic and consular post around the world and served notice that “agencies and programs of our own government” that participate “in [acts of] censorship, suppression, and misinformation.” will not be tolerated.

He added that the State Department will watch for “enemy propaganda” and programs or agencies that, “lead or in any way open the door to censorship of the American people will be terminated,” according to RealClearPolitics.

WATCH: The FBI is broken, and it’s not just a matter of bad leadership; it’s the system itself

January 31, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: THE NEWS, WND

The FBI is broken, and it’s not just a matter of bad leadership – it’s the system itself. The agency has shifted from reducing crime to chasing quotas, manipulating cases like Jan. 6 to pad their numbers while ignoring real threats like child exploitation and human trafficking. Even worse, everyday Americans are being targeted and labeled as potential domestic terrorists simply for questioning government overreach or holding conservative values. Steve Friend, a former FBI agent turned whistleblower, exposes how the agency’s bureaucracy prioritizes self-preservation and power, incentivizing corruption and inefficiency. Speaking with Elizabeth Farah of WorldNetDaily, Friend reveals the urgent need to strip the FBI of its unchecked power, decentralize law enforcement, and restore accountability to local and state levels. It’s time to stop pretending the FBI can be reformed and start asking the bigger question: Do we even need it at all?

NPR and PBS may be on hot seat for ‘airing of commercials’

FCC Chair Brendan Carr is organizing an investigation into NPR and PBS for “airing of Commercials”

In a letter to news outlets Carr said “I am concerned that NPR and PBS broadcasts could be violating federal law by airing commercials,” Carr said in a letter to the news outlets, according to The New York Times.

The letter went on to specify that there were some underwriting announcements that are actually qualifying as commercial advertising.

NPR President and CEO Katherine Maher and a PBS representative both told The Hill that they believed any investigation would show that their underwriting announcements are in compliance with the FCC’s regulations.

What will all the DEI ‘experts’ do now?

January 31, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: THE NEWS, WND

(Video screenshot)

Doubtless you all remember the Bud Light disaster, in which marketing experts completely misread the market. The company’s new vice president of marketing, Alissa Heinerscheid, was anxious to shed the beer’s reputation for “fratty and out-of-touch humor” and make the beverage more “inclusive.” In so doing, she managed to alienate its entire customer base and sparked a massive boycott.

Anheuser-Busch immediately backpedaled and attempted to rebrand the beer as appealing to macho men, but the damage was done. Even now, years later, Bud Light still hasn’t recovered.

Naturally, social critics have painted this boycott as the product of a bunch of knuckle-dragging racist sexist transphobic white supremacist Neanderthals (have I missed any buzzwords?), but the truth of the matter is this: DEI experts live in their own echo chamber and cannot fathom that the vast majority of the country doesn’t agree with their definitions of “inclusivity.” In the case of Bud Light, customers let their wallets do the talking. The rest is history.

Meanwhile, what happened to Alissa Heinerscheid, the VP of marketing who launched the disastrous campaign? I have no idea. Brief internet research didn’t yield anything recent. I assume she’s relabeled herself and gone underground. Hold this possibility in mind for a few minutes.

Now let’s look at the new Trump administration. One of its distinguishing features is the reduction or outright elimination of DEI programs. DEI spread like wildfire in the last few years, infiltrating vast federal, state, local, and private sector businesses and organizations. As a result, people were advanced due to their inclusion in “under-represented groups” rather than merit, allowing a culture of victimology, bias, intolerance and incompetence to thrive.

Now Trump is busy slashing DEI at the federal level, and corporations and private-sector organizations are following suit by backpedaling away from it as fast as possible. One executive order instructed federal bureaucracies, federal contractors and receivers of federal grants to “Terminate, to the maximum extent allowed by law, all DEI, DEIA, and ‘environmental justice’ offices and positions (including but not limited to ‘Chief Diversity Officer’ positions); all ‘equity action plans,’ ‘equity’ actions, initiatives, or programs, ‘equity-related’ grants or contracts; and all DEI or DEIA performance requirements for employees, contractors, or grantees.” The anti-DEI flamethrower was applied to the Department of Education as well.

Why the hostility toward DEI? Quite simply, it’s wrong. “The DEI grift in the federal government was nothing more than a power grab movement by far-left Marxist activists who were put into positions of power – not based on meritocracy, but instead on color or gender,” notes this article. “And by the way, DEI’s true intention was never to work but to destroy the current system to usher in a socialist reconstruction of America.”

“Since DEI was essentially a program to promote incompetence,” adds James Howard Kunstler, “these employees represent a monumental cargo of dead-weight.”

Now a lot of DEI is simply being relabeled and going underground, just like Bud Light’s VP of marketing. Trump addressed this too. Roger Kimball notes in American Greatness, “Aware that the order would spark panic among the sinecured bureaucrats in and around the DEI apparat, the memo [from the Trump administration] went on to say, ‘We are aware of efforts by some in government to disguise these programs by using coded or imprecise language. If you are aware of a change in any contract description or personnel position description since November 5, 2024, to obscure the connection between the contract and DEIA or similar ideologies, please report all facts and circumstances.’ And just in case that wasn’t enough, the memo included this warning: ‘There will be no adverse consequences for timely reporting’ on efforts to disguise DEI programs. ‘However, failure to report this information within 10 days may result in adverse consequences.’”

In short – at least as far as federal offices – there appears to be nowhere for DEI staff to hide.

Even Hollywood is backing down. According to this article, “In the aftermath of the election, Hollywood insiders predict a shift in strategy. … The departure of executives who were specifically hired to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in film and TV has already begun, signaling a possible retreat from the social justice focus that characterized much of the last decade’s content.”

Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., summed up the Trump administration’s position regarding DEI in one sentence: “The best way to stop discriminating against people on the basis of race and gender – is to stop discriminating against people on the basis of race and gender.”

But this isn’t a good enough reason for the DEI crowd. “How could Trump DO this?” the left is collectively wailing. The truth coming to light is a harsh reality for the left: Woke politics were nowhere near as popular as they thought. After all, when you live in an echo chamber, all you hear are reflections of your own opinions. For too long, Flyover Country has been dismissed as a bunch of unejikated yokels too stupid to appreciate the benefits of inclusivity when it comes to employment, and our concerns about DEI have been ignored.

While I’m sure we’re all celebrating the thought of merit being the basis of job qualification, we must still ask: What will all the DEI people do? Seriously, what will happen to them? Trump’s actions leave a lot of professional victims on the loose – walking, talking, breathing lawsuits with nowhere to go.

Journalist John LeFevre observed the same thing. He wrote: “There are now thousands of unemployed DEI ‘experts.’ They have useless degrees, minimal skills, wildly unrealistic salary expectations and delusionally high opinions of themselves. These people are unemployable. They’re toxic, bad energy, team-killers, and walking lawsuits. And the NGOs and academia are getting dismantled next … so they can’t even find a home there.”

I suspect most of these DEI orphans won’t learn to code, in the immortal words of Joe Biden. So – seriously – what will these unemployed and unemployable DEI castaways do?

Well, there’s always this. According to Statista, “[A]s many as four in ten would approve of violence or hostile activism in order to drive societal changes that would give themselves or their family a better future. This belief was particularly widespread among younger respondents, with just over half (53 percent) of 18-35 year olds supporting the statement. In terms of the individual actions, around a quarter of respondents said that attacking people online, intentionally spreading disinformation, threatening or committing violence or damaging public or private property would be acceptable as a way to bring about societal change.”

This, I anticipate, is the future for many DEI misfits. I hear George Soros is always hiring.

Next phase on illegals should lead to self-deportation

January 31, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: THE NEWS, WND

Illegal aliens await takeoff for a removal flight at the Tucson International Airport, Arizona, Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025. (Dept. of Defense photo by Senior Airman Devlin Bishop)

“Watch for it” – standard fare in the short-attention-span video binging world. You know someone is about to be heroic, get clobbered, fall flat, be cute, be stupid or scared half to death. Be patient. Don’t hit “next.” Here it comes. Pow!

Surely, to keep “watching for it” is the fate of we who imagine the obvious next shoe to drop in deporting the uninvited guests Biden & Company invited in. When do we start debanking illegals, instead of errant conservatives? When do we finally start starving the newcomers out?

Careful political posturing to engineer a favorable public response and taking wee little steps before putting a wet finger to the wind, doesn’t seem to be President Trump’s modus operandi. He’s more likely to do 10 things in the morning and, before the disloyal opposition find a bone to pick, he makes a joke in the afternoon about water-boarding the previous administration, tapping merrily on one of his detractors dependable emotional buttons – and that becomes all they can talk about the rest of the day. And we who know better all smile at the rogue fools who keep forgetting that Lucy always tricks Charlie Brown into thinking she won’t pull the football … this time.

Still, though political calculus isn’t likely to turn the president from his course, it may come into play in how he achieves his objectives. Normally, he seems most likely to plow straight ahead. (He has such an impressive signature!) But some things need to be made more palatable over time, and we hope that’s how he is seeing the process. Soothing liberal sensitivities may occasionally make life in the Oval Office easier.

Too much information (TMI) is bad for those constantly teetering on the edge of hysteria. To keep it simple (KISS) all that has been presented, so far, regarding the millions of illegals is the plan to start with the bad guys. Round them up and ship them out. Already the Democrats’ screeching has subsided. They only tried briefly, before most were submitting to the obvious. Protecting rapists and killers doesn’t translate easily to votes. Trump’s mission will, for the time, proceed with little effective resistance.

Hopefully, that rationale will have a short shelf life. Once the clearly hardcore threats to life and limb have been shown the door, the threats to national economic health and the more general well-being (especially for conservatives) will include the next 10 to 20 million illegals who must go if we’re serious about America. And Trump is serious.

If Plan A was to arrest and ship out the worst of them, Plan B will need a different model. They were let in to the tune of 250,000 a month, or 3,000,000 a year. To put that process into reverse it should be obvious that we don’t have (or want) enough ICE agents to go around picking them all up one at a time.

Thus, we get back to admitting, grudgingly, that Mittens Romney got one thing right. They will all have to self-deport.

We suspect and hope that when the time comes the president will make his case. The invitations to the Entrance door said, “Step this way for free stuff, housing, cash, special privileges and voting rights. We hate America, so you can only improve us.” The signs to the Exit doors must read, “No more free stuff. No more remittances to home. No more bank accounts. No more jobs or freedom from being detained. No more free hotel rooms. No more safe hospital visits free of cost or arrest. No more ICE-proof arrests, ever. No more arrest-proof traffic stops. No more chances of remaining and surviving unscathed.”

This Exit door sign should also have this notice, in several languages: “Free Plane Tickets Home! Offer Expiring Soon! Free money at boarding if you register here for your 30-day departure extension!”

There’s your stick, and there’s your carrot. And don’t let the door hit your butt on the way out.
