Bill to protect AM radio being reintroduced by Senators Markey and Cruz

Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.), member of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, and Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Chairman of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, decided to reintroduce a bill on Wednesday called, “The AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act.” If passed, the legislation would direct the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to require vehicle manufacturers to continue to include AM radios in all vehicles at no charge. Not only is AM relied upon for news, national security, and the safety of the American people, it also includes broadcast messages of faith, family and freedom, according to a press release from the NRB.

“I will protect the content that is pro-God,” Trump said during the 2024 NRB convention. “To that end, at the request of the NRB, I will do my part to protect AM radio in our cars.”

(VARIETY) — Meta agreed to pay $25 million to settle Donald Trump‘s lawsuit alleging censorship over the social media giant’s suspension of his Facebook and Instagram accounts after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Meta did not respond to a request for comment. The White House declined to comment.

A source close to Trump confirmed that Meta will pay $25 million under the terms of the settlement. According to the Wall Street Journal, which first reported the settlement, $22 million of Meta’s payment will go toward a fund for Trump’s presidential library. The remainder will go toward “legal fees and the other plaintiffs who signed onto the case,” per the report.

Environmentalists claim President Trump trying to take control of their water supply

California has been burning for nearly a month now, yet the environmentalists claim that the executive order he signed to try to get the wildfires under control are his attempt to take over California’s water supply. They claim that just turning on the water so that the Firefighters can do their job will upset the balance of the ecosystem, according to KGO-TV.

On Monday, The Hill picked up Trump’s post on his Truth Social: “The United States Military just entered the Great State of California and, under Emergency Powers, TURNED ON THE WATER flowing abundantly from the Pacific Northwest, and beyond. The days of putting a Fake Environmental argument, over the PEOPLE, are OVER. Enjoy the water, California!!!”

The California Department of Water Resources (CDWR) is denying that the military was involved, claiming that the water had been turned off for maintenance reasons, according to The Hill.

One U.S. senator has moved quickly to build on the momentum started by President Donald Trump’s executive order to prevent federal promotions and payments for transgender “treatments,” also described as body mutilations, on children.

Trump on Tuesday signed his executive order titled “Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation.”

It includes, “It is the policy of the United States that it will not fund, sponsor, promote, assist, or support the so-called ‘transition’ of a child from one sex to another, and it will rigorously enforce all laws that prohibit or limit these destructive and life-altering procedures.”

But, as a report in RedState confirmed, “executive orders are, of course, limited, and must eventually be supported by legislation.”

That brought Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., into the discussion.

He announced he is reintroducing the “Protecting Kids from Child Abuse Act,” which allows victims to sue the doctors who hurt them.

Online, Hawley explained his plan will “create a private right of action for individuals who were harmed by a gender-transition procedure performed on them when they were minors.”

The liability would fall on “a pediatric gender clinic where the procedure was performed; a medical practitioner who performed the procedure or was employed by the clinic; and a university or hospital that is affiliated with the clinic.”

Further, it was bar “federal funding to any pediatric gender clinic, to any university or hospital that is affiliated with a pediatric gender clinic, and for any gender-transition procedure performed on minors.”

It essentially “would enshrine most of President Trump’s EO into law,” the report said.

“This seems like a no-brainer, a policy statement that should be enshrined in the hallowed halls of the Museum of the Mind-Numbingly Obvious. But the fact is that the rise of ‘transgenderism’ has made it necessary, especially where children are concerned. There is a reason we don’t allow children to make certain decisions; they lack the maturity, the experience, and the wisdom to do so. That’s why we don’t let children sign contracts, or buy alcohol, tobacco, or firearms,” the report explained.

“We don’t let them sign consent for medical treatments, even as something as minor as filling a cavity; we don’t let them get tattoos. We sure shouldn’t allow them to get harmful, permanent, life-changing, and sterilizing treatments and procedures that will require them to have medical intervention for the rest of their lives.”

As President Donald Trump entered the Oval Office for his second term, immediately initiating his promised illegal immigrant deportation program, a video appeared online of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents rounding up one of their first targets.

In the video, the sight of the illegal immigrant – the recipient of 17 criminal convictions and also believed to have been a Haitian gang leader – yelling out defiantly at his captors is priceless. Cuffed and sitting inside a police car, he looked at the camera and boasted to those arresting him he was not going back to Haiti. He also shouted out a thank you to those who made it possible for him to enter the U.S. illegally in the first place.

Angrily, he claimed, “I’m not going back to Haiti. F— Trump. … Yo, Biden forever, bro! Thank Obama for everything he did for me, bro.” While thanking the administrations of Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden for allowing him the opportunity to embrace his criminal trade in America, he condemned Trump for ending his diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) opportunity to continue it.

Vice President J.D. Vance could not resist the opportunity to comment on the video, posting, “An illegal alien with 17 criminal convictions really hates President Trump for sending him back to Haiti. He’s grateful to Biden for letting him come here. I’m glad we’re deporting him. Do you agree or would you like him as your neighbor?”

It would be an eye-opening educational tool for ICE and CBP to use the video to show Americans what is being done to create a safer America. A short clip from the arrest video of this thug’s defiance would properly underscore the need for removing such trash from the U.S.

The impact of Biden’s departure from the White House has been reciprocated by an immediate decrease in the number of illegal aliens entering the U.S. This has been the result of border security and immigration strategies announced by Trump but not yet even implemented. It includes deployment of U.S. military forces to provide assistance in barrier construction and immigration enforcement.

Other policies Trump has announced include plans to terminate asylum and to reinstate the “Remain in Mexico” program he had implemented during his first term. He will also suspend refugee resettlement for at least four months and increase the number of CBP agents by 50%.

On his first day, Trump declared a national emergency existed at the border with Mexico. This authorized him to deploy military forces there. Unlike the Biden administration, which turned a blind eye to what was going on at the border, Trump made clear the danger lurking there: “Our southern border is overrun by cartels, criminal gangs, known terrorists, human traffickers, smugglers, unvetted military-age males from foreign adversaries and illicit narcotics that harm Americans.”

To fight the cartels, Trump has invoked a 227-year old law that has survived every U.S. Supreme Court challenge to date – the “Alien Enemies Act of 1798, which is a product of the wisdom of our Founding Fathers. As such, the law enables him to designate the cartels as foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs), empowering Trump to employ the full “power of federal and state law enforcement to eliminate the presence of all foreign gangs and criminal networks bringing devastating crime to U.S. soil.”

Trump’s effort to make a safer America will undoubtedly suffer some delays due to various legal and funding challenges his opponents will initiate. Reportedly, Trump will need $100 billion during the next four years to achieve his border security and deportation goals.

Trump’s Justice Department has threatened criminal prosecution of local officials who endeavor not to cooperate with his agenda by virtue of their state or city’s declared sanctuary status. The basis for such prosecution would be that the Constitution’s Supremacy Clause trumps their sanctuary status.

Additionally, the recent passage of the Laken Riley Act, supported by 87% of Americans, requires that “undocumented” immigrants be detained for any misdemeanor or greater violations – from shoplifting to homicide. The act’s namesake’s life was tragically taken by an illegal who, previously arrested in New York, subsequently murdered her in Georgia. The Laken Riley Act, along with the 1798 FTO law, empowers the Trump administration to prioritize the arrest and deportation of the illegal alien criminal element, denying cities/states to claim sanctuary status.

Trump’s illegal-immigration initiatives, along with reality, have caused the commonwealth of Massachusetts to re-examine where exactly it stands on the sanctuary-state issue. It appears to be fence-sitting, publicly asserting it is not a sanctuary state while proclaiming immigrants’ rights will be protected. As migrants continue to flood the state, it is estimated its 2025 budget for housing them and their families in over 128 hotels and motels will hit $1 billion. This financial strain, along with several high profile criminal acts, has resulted in a policy shift as the governor now demands migrants show proof of legal entry.

Despite ICE rounding up murderers, rapists, drug traffickers, etc. in Boston, an NBC affiliate ridiculously reported that the raids were causing “growing concerns.” A correspondent embedded with an ICE team slammed the affiliate for its report.

Other cities and states whose officials have been slow on the illegal-immigration intake are discovering the effort to shelter new arrivals is unpopular. New York City’s plan to open a massive 2,200-bed migrant shelter in the South Bronx triggered claims of it becoming a “dumping ground” for them. The announcement ridiculously comes as the city seeks to close down 46 shelters that will reduce the bed count by 10,000.

Meanwhile, Trump has gotten countries like India to accept 18,000 of its citizens who entered the U.S. illegally as Mexico has been building numerous temporary shelters to house deported migrants from the U.S.

Based on the range of immigration policies Trump is initiating, a good addition to the video clip of the defiant gang leader and illegal alien mentioned above to enhance its educational impact would be to show it while playing the 1970 hit song “We’ve Only Just Begun” by The Carpenters. It would clearly convey the message that, for those breaking our laws, their deportations have only “just begun.”

CNN data expert Harry Enten delivers poll results on air to his colleagues, whether they want to hear it or not. On the first Friday of President Donald Trump’s second term, he brought bad news to CNN morning anchor Kate Bolduan that a new Reuters/Ipsos poll found Trump had a net approval rating of plus-6.

This term is starting much differently than the last one. Enten explained that in January of 2017, Trump became the first president in (polling) history to start his term with a net negative approval rating, a minus-3. From that January to this January was a 9-point swing.

He’s not just doing better than he was eight years ago. He’s doing better than he ever did in the entire first term. His best net approval rating was a plus-3 in March 2017.

Enten really offended his CNN colleague when he claimed: “This is a very different Donald Trump. He’s leading a very different administration – the way he’s attacking things. And the American public is very much more in line with him than they were at any point during his entire first term.”

Bolduan felt compelled to dissent: “I would say, correction! He’s not a very different Donald Trump. This is a very different Donald Trump – as being viewed by voters in this moment.”

Then Enten elaborated on his “very different” point, that with new chief of staff Susie Wiles, Trump is “going at things in a much less disorganized fashion. Much more organized.”

A few seconds later, the video of this became more amusing when Enten underlined how unique this was: “Has the second term net approval rating in the first month, have you ever had a higher rating than any net approval rating during the entire first term? Donald Trump is the only – ”

Speaking for her CNN colleagues (and the Trump-hating CNN audience), Bolduan broke in with a high soprano voice: “I have a really hard time believing this.”

Enten finished his thought: “This is 100% true. I went back. I love spreadsheets. … This is true. I don’t make stuff up. The numbers are the numbers!”

Bolduan aerobically rolled her eyes at this part, like she simply cannot believe or tolerate the fact that Trump is at a peak of popularity right now. It might not last. Or it might get even better.

There’s been a more dramatic shift on which party is better with immigration. On Jan. 27, Enten found Trump’s approval rating on immigration right now is 46% approve to 39% disapprove. But when asked which party is better at handling the issue of immigration, Democrats led eight years ago by 11 points. Right now, the Republicans are up 22 points. The massive surge of illegal migrants under Joe Biden caused Americans to get more “hawkish” on the border.

Enten’s not always delivering good news for Trump. On Jan. 28, he noted a Reuters poll found that Trump’s jawboning about buying Greenland from Denmark may be the most unpopular position he’s taking at the moment. Fully 58% of Americans didn’t want to pressure Denmark to sell it (16% in favor). Even 42% of the GOP respondents weren’t behind this Greenland gambit.

Journalists may focus too intensely on opinion polls in between elections. When Republicans win, they’re very attentive to GOP poll ratings sinking. Their “news” coverage seems designed to make that decline happen. The media are currently struggling with the public mood that Democrats performed badly and deserve some time in the minority. In other words, they have low ratings like CNN and MSNBC.

In what has developed as an obvious strategy on the part of President Donald Trump – announcing new plans even before his detractors can react to a previous strategy – he has confirmed that he’s asking for a detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to hold up to 30,000 illegal aliens.

Trump only a day earlier, had announced a freeze on some government spending so those expenditures could be evaluated over whether they were being used for now-discontinued diversity and other racist programs. Then he rescinded the freeze while confirming that the review of those spending programs would continue.

Then he announced a plan for an executive order to the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security to start readying a detention center.

One prominent Democrat has admitted the Trump administration is moving so quickly on so many fronts members of his party already are “fatigued.”

The Washington Examiner described it as a “surprise declaration” that came during the signing of the Laken Riley Act.

Guantanamo Bay, a U.S. holding on the island of Cuba, was used to detain suspected terrorists during the George W. Bush administration. Barack Obama claimed he would close it down within a year but failed. Of late, it has seen a lower and lower population of terror suspects as Joe Biden freed a number of them.

“Today, I’m also signing an executive order to instruct the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security to begin preparing the 30,000-person migrant facility at Guantanamo Bay. Most people don’t even know about it,” the president explained. “We have 30,000 beds in Guantanamo to detain the worst criminal illegal aliens threatening the American people. Some of them are so bad, we don’t even trust [their home] countries to hold them because we don’t want them coming back. So we’re going to send them out to Guantanamo.”

The report said immigrant “rights” organizations and Democrats are expected to fight the plan.

“Guantanamo could regain a place in American foreign policy and its public consciousness. Its inmate population dwindled to just 15 people in recent years and now could swell by tens of thousands,” the report said.

Trump already has been shipping illegals who are arrested back to their home countries, and won a huge victory just days ago when Colombian officials agreed to his terms after complaining that its citizens weren’t being treated respectfully.

Multiple details of the plan haven’t been released yet.

Trump’s actual order said the detention center should be prepared to handle “full capacity.”

“This memorandum is issued in order to halt the border invasion, dismantle criminal cartels, and restore national sovereignty,” Trump wrote.

The thousands of new media requests came in after White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced on Tuesday that the White House is making room for “new media” in the press room, allowing nontraditional, news-related content producers to directly question the press secretary and other administration officials.

Leavitt, who called on the press to focus on sharing the truth about the Trump administration, gave her first press briefing on Tuesday, during which she announced a “new media seat” for nontraditional media, as well as a link for bloggers, podcasters, social media influencers, and others to apply to for White House press access.
