Tim Walz Prepares To Sue The Trump Admin With The United Nations? | Drew Hernandez
Woke Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said his state is working with the American Civil Liberties Union, pro-immigrant groups and contacts at the United Nations as it pursues a lawsuit against President Donald Trump’s administration over a sweeping federal immigration crackdown known as Operation Metro Surge.
The state of Minnesota, along with the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, filed suit in federal court in January alleging that the deployment of thousands of immigration agents to the Twin Cities amounts to an unconstitutional “federal invasion” and political retaliation for the state’s sanctuary-style policies.
The so called complaint argues that Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection officers have carried out militarized raids, racially profiled Somali and Latino residents, and even detained U.S. citizens and legal visa holders without probable cause or warrants.
Leftist State Attorney General Keith Ellison, who is leading the case for Minnesota, told reporters at the lawsuit announcement that “this has to stop; it just has to stop,” calling the federal operation a grave threat to Minnesotans’ constitutional rights.
In parallel, the ACLU and ACLU of Minnesota have brought their own lawsuit alleging that ICE and CBP’s tactics under Operation Metro Surge are “illegal and morally reprehensible,” saying agents have “swept up Minnesotans through racial profiling and unlawful arrests.”
Walz has welcomed the ACLU’s actions and told the cable outlet MSNow that “we being the ACLU, a lot of groups, especially immigrant groups, folks at the United Nations and in Geneva are working” to document abuses and support Minnesota’s legal challenge, adding that such conduct would draw international investigation if it occurred in another country.
In court, lawyers for Minnesota and the Twin Cities have asked for an emergency order halting or sharply limiting Operation Metro Surge, arguing that the surge of roughly 3,000 federal agents has terrified communities, interfered with local public safety efforts and coerced officials to abandon their own immigration policies.
Prosecutors for the state have told a federal judge that the crackdown is an “unlawful and unchecked invasion” that undermines the Tenth Amendment’s protection of state sovereignty and violates federal administrative law because similar enforcement is not being carried out elsewhere.
The Trump administration and Department of Homeland Security officials have rejected the lawsuits as baseless, insisting the operations are necessary to combat fraud and crime, even as riots grew in Minnesota and legal battles over the future of the crackdown move forward.

Trump Asks Congress To Pass Clean Reauthorization Of FISA Spy Powers
Trump Asks Congress To Pass Clean Reauthorization Of FISA Spy Powers
Authored by Joseph Lord and Nathan Worcester via The Epoch Times,
President Donald Trump asked Congress this week to pass a clean reauthorization of a critical—but controversial—spying authority as the U.S. military operation in Iran continues.
“I have called for a clean 18-month extension,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social, noting that Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) are working toward passing such a bill.
Specifically, Trump is asking Congress to extend the authorities in Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), a sweeping War on Terror-era spying authority that has seen wide abuse by federal intelligence agencies in the past.
Section 702 targets intelligence from foreign nationals thought to be outside the United States. Yet, it also enables intelligence agencies to gather information from Americans who are in contact with targeted non-U.S. persons—all without a warrant. The controversial authority was at the center of National Security Agency whistleblower Edward Snowden’s 2014 disclosures.
Although intelligence officials must obtain a warrant to access Americans’ data, Section 702 has long caused bipartisan discomfort on Capitol Hill and beyond.
Trump noted in the post that he himself had been on the receiving end of what he described as “the worst and most illegal abuse of FISA in our Nation’s History,” referencing disclosures that revealed that the FBI had used Section 702 of FISA to spy on Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign as part of the Crossfire Hurricane operation.
Nevertheless, Trump said, “When used properly, FISA is an effective tool to keep Americans safe.”
“For these reasons, I have called for a clean 18-month extension, HOWEVER, the Critical and Common Sense Reforms that were made in the last Reauthorization of FISA must remain intact to protect the American People from abuses.”
In an extension of the authority passed last year, Congress imposed new training requirements for those with access to the FISA Section 702 database, stricter requirements for justifying queries into the database, requiring high-level approval to query the information of politically-sensitive individuals, and mandatory consequences for willful abuse of the program.
“Since the first day … my Administration has worked tirelessly to ensure these Reforms are being aggressively executed at every level of the Executive Branch to keep Americans safe, while protecting their sacred Civil Liberties guaranteed by our Great Constitution,” Trump wrote.
The president said that permitting the program to continue was crucial in view of the ongoing hostilities with Iran.
“The fact is, whether you like FISA or not, it is extremely important to our Military. I have spoken to many Generals about this, and they consider it vital. Not one said, even tacitly, that they can do without it—especially right now with our brilliant Military Operation in Iran,” Trump wrote.
Bipartisan Skepticism
However, bipartisan doubts about the extensive program remain, despite efforts among supporters of Section 702 to amplify the reductions in abuse brought about in the wake of the reforms.
Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) signaled opposition on March 17 in posts on X. That same day, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) endorsed reforms to the law in a conversation with reporters.
Rep. Andy Harris (R-Md.), who chairs the House Freedom Caucus, told reporters on March 18 that 18 months is too long.
“I hope there’s some room for negotiating a couple of smaller reforms into it to show good faith, that they know there are problems,” he said.
Meanwhile, House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio)—like Trump, a past critic of FISA—has backed its renewal.
Ahead of a March 18 briefing, he told reporters that the FBI has boosted compliance with Section 702’s querying procedures—guardrails to shield Americans from FISA wiretapping.
A review of FBI Section 702 compliance from the Department of Justice’s Office of the Inspector General identified more than 60,000 noncompliant queries in 2021 alone.
During a March 19 press conference, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) said, “It’s clear that FISA reforms are necessary.”
“Every single Democrat will oppose the rule,” Jeffries said, referring to a procedural step that Johnson could take to advance the extension that would come ahead of a final vote.

WATCH: Fox News Host Abby Hornacek Gets Suplexed Live on Fox & Friends by Wrestling Champ, ‘Felt Like Being Thrown Off a Skyscraper!’
Fox News host Abby Hornacek got a lesson in professional wrestling on Saturday morning when RAF Middleweight champion Kennedy Blades slammed her to the mat with a suplex during a live segment on Fox & Friends Weekend.
The body slam happened while Hornacek was interviewing Blades to promote RAF Wrestling’s upcoming big event on Fox Nation.
After a brief chat, Blades offered to demonstrate her signature move.
Hornacek, clearly nervous, agreed.
“Let’s suplex… I’m so nervous… Let’s try this,” Hornacek said, just before Blades grabbed her around the hips, twisted, lifted her high into the air, and drove her down onto the studio mat.
The mic pack on Hornacek’s back didn’t survive, but the host popped right back up, laughing and high-fiving Blades.
“Ohhh! Amazing. I don’t think I can be a wrestler,” Hornacek said, taking the suplex like a champ.
Hornacek added, “Alright, the mic pack did not survive, but I did, luckily… I know that looked worse than it was, but it was a lot of fun. I think I’m going to stay off the mat from now on. But Kennedy here, I gotta say — that felt like being thrown off a skyscraper.”

WATCH: Anti-Trump protesters scream ‘abolish the police’ as cops assist their march through D.C.
Several “No Kings” protesters chanted anti-police slogans Saturday while uniformed officers could be seen ushering their march through the streets of Washington, video footage by the Daily Caller News Foundation shows.
Thousands of demonstrators flocked to the nation’s capital as part of the nationwide No Kings Day protests Saturday against President Donald Trump and his administration, particularly Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). During one portion of the Washington demonstrations, protesters chanted multiple times in favor of defunding or even abolishing the police — despite officers at the same time visibly protecting them.
“I said take it to the streets, abolish the police,” a male protester leading a chant yelled as multiple on-duty law enforcement officers walked with them, video by DCNF investigative reporter Hudson Crozier shows.

“Cops spent hours accompanying the protest and holding off traffic for about a mile, giving them the entire Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge along the way,” Crozier wrote in the post, referring to to the arch bridge crossing the Anacostia River in Washington’s southeast quadrant.
Another video by the DCNF reporter shows a protester leading chants for the capital’s Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) to cut its budget, as uniformed officers observed the marches from behind barricades.
“MPD,” the man yells multiple times, prompting fellow protesters to reply, “Cut that budget!” The protesters then break out into a repeated chant, “ICE go home,” the video shows.

Another photo of the “No Kings” demonstrations obtained by the DCNF shows protesters wearing hats and flags featuring the hammer and sickle, well-known symbols of communism and the Soviet Union.
Another one depicts a message written on the street in sidewalk chalk stating, “Nuremberg trials the sequel starring S. Miller,” likely referring to White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, who is Jewish.
Saturday marked the third such day explicitly designated for nationwide “No Kings” demonstrations, following June 14, 2025, and Oct. 18, 2025. While the website of the organization behind the protests purports to oppose authoritarian rule in the U.S., its official partners include multiple groups who have shown support for brutal communist dictatorships abroad.
“Trump wants to rule over us as a tyrant. But this is America, and power belongs to the people – not to wannabe kings or their billionaire cronies,” the No Kings website states. “America has a long history, rooted in white supremacy, of suppressing the rights of people of color. But our history also clearly shows that people-powered movements are how we end authoritarianism.”
White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson dubbed the “No Kings” protests “Trump derangement therapy sessions,” in comments to multiple outlets.

ICE Agents Laugh At Leftist MALE KAREN At Airport | Drew Hernandez
A viral video from New York’s LaGuardia Airport shows Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents laughing as a effeminate woke man angrily confronts them, amid President Donald Trump’s deployment of immigration officers to help at US airports during a Department of Homeland Security funding standoff that has left many TSA workers unpaid.
In the clip, originally posted by the activist collective No Kings USA on Instagram and later shared widely on X and other platforms, the man walks alongside a line of ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations agents in tactical vests and demands, “You guys are the foot soldiers of a fascist regime, right? Is that not what it is?”
The agents first grin and then break into open laughter as he continues to press them, repeatedly asking, “Is that funny? Is that funny?” while one officer visibly tries to stifle a chuckle as they keep moving through the terminal.
On Instagram, the activist framed the encounter as “speaking truth to power,” writing that he had “confronted a fascist to his face today at LaGuardia” and complaining that the officer’s reaction was merely “a smirk.”
Conservative accounts quickly seized on the footage, with the right‑leaning End Wokeness profile on X reposting it under the caption, “ICE agents laugh in the face of liberal at the airport screeching about fascism,” helping propel the video to viral status.
Other social media users on Facebook, TikTok and Instagram similarly roasted the man for what they viewed as a performative meltdown, contrasting his shouted accusations with the agents’ laughter as they continued on their way.
The confrontation comes just days after the Trump administration began sending hundreds of ICE agents to more than a dozen major airports, including LaGuardia, JFK, Newark, Atlanta and Houston, to assist with crowd management, logistics and other non‑screening duties normally handled by overstretched Transportation Security Administration staff.

Catholic conversions rise as young adults ‘hungry for truth’ turn to faith and reject secularism, bishop says
Catholic leaders across the U.S. are reporting sharp increases in the number of adult converts, a trend that they say is driven primarily by young adults. The Archdiocese of Newark, N.J., reported 1,701 individuals were preparing to join the Church, a 30% increase since 2025, according to The Catholic Standard. Other Archdioceses reporting similar rises including Cleveland, Ohio, Boston, Mass., Portland, Ore., according to the outlet.”Last year, we broke the record for the number of adult converts, and then this year — so, we have what’s called the rite of election, that’s when all the people are entering into the church — we broke that record again. So, it’s a trend that’s visible all over the church and it’s certainly been true in my dioceses,” Bishop Robert Barron told Fox News Digital.Catholic ministries on college campuses, including Texas A&M University, University of Notre Dame and Arizona State University are also reporting increasing converts, The Catholic Standard reported. Notre Dame saw its largest group of new Catholics in at least 25 years, with 125 receiving the sacraments last Easter, according to The Catholic Standard. The outlet noted that this year, Notre Dame expects there to be 163 candidates and catechumens, which are unbaptized individuals undergoing conversion.CATHOLICVOTE LAUNCHES ‘ZEALE’ APP TARGETING GEN Z AMERICANS WITH FAITH AND NEWS CONTENTBarron said that when speaking to new adult converts about their decision, many describe themselves as “hungry for truth.” He argued the trend is, in part, a reaction to the rise of atheism in the early 2000s, with younger generations having “inherited this bleakly secularized world” and now “leading the charge” back to religion. The bishop pointed to St. Augustine, saying the theologian’s words still ring true today.”St. Augustine said, ‘Lord, you’ve made us for yourself, and therefore our heart is restless till it rests in you,’ and that remains true,” Barron said. “There’s a longing in the heart that can’t be satisfied by anything in this world, and so religion speaks to that.”BIBLE PODCAST CRACKS APPLE TOP 10 FOR THIRD YEAR AS HOST CELEBRATES: ‘PEOPLE ARE HUNGRY FOR GOD’S WORD’The bishop also explained that many young adults are looking for something steady with strong roots as they navigate the modern world and its online distractions. In his view, Catholicism has been attracting new converts because of its 2,000-year-old traditions.”Our culture today is very ephemeral, right? It’s evanescent… Catholicism speaks to something much deeper, and older, and more permanent,” he said. “I also think that people are attracted to the ritual expression of Catholicism. So, the beauty of our liturgy, we’re not just gathering in a bland room and singing pop songs, we’re entering into this ancient, beautiful ritual involving vestments and incense and candles and ancient prayers and ancient chants. And I do think that appeals to people’s souls, especially young people.”Even as he spoke about the beauty of the Church, Barron touched on the scandals of sexual abuse that came to light especially in the early 2000s. He said that the scandals were important for the Church to acknowledge and deal with, but that for young adult converts, they were “more of a memory” and “less of a lived, immediate reality.”SCORSESE CLOSES ‘THE SAINTS’ WITH THE STORY OF CARLO ACUTIS, THE FIRST MILLENNIAL SAINTIn 2025, Pew Research Center issued findings on Catholic converts in the U.S., saying that 1.5% of all adults in the country fit into the category. According to Pew’s 2025 report, 92% of U.S. Catholics were raised in the faith, while the remaining 8% had converted. The research center said that when asked why they converted to Catholicism, “the most common response offered by converts is because of a spouse, or to get married in the Church.” Meanwhile, others said Catholicism made sense to them or that it aligned with their values. Now that the Church has attracted these new converts, it is tasked with retaining them. Barron said that first and foremost, the Church must listen to them.”I think it needs to listen to them. You know, that’s something Pope Francis kept emphasizing, correctly, that first you listen and fin out what’s attracted them, find out maybe what kept them away for a long time, what made a difference,” Barron told Fox News Digital.Barron emphasized that, ultimately, the Church exists for the purpose of bringing people into the faith.”The Church is about the business of evangelization. That’s what we are. I mean, every Catholic institution exists for the purpose of evangelization, meaning bringing people to Christ. And so, the people who are coming back to the Church, that makes me the happiest. That’s why what the Catholic Church exists for, is to invite people back,” the bishop said.
Cases of ‘white plague’ rising in US as doctors warn of ‘rebound effect’
A potentially deadly disease known as “the white plague” has been rising in the U.S. since the pandemic, health officials have warned.Tuberculosis (TB) gets its nickname from the pale appearance of those affected with the disease. After a dip in 2020 with the onset of COVID – likely due to underdiagnosis and reduced screenings, according to health experts – cases of TB have increased every year since.MENINGITIS CASES RISE IN MAJOR MIDWESTERN CITY, PROMPTING PUBLIC HEALTH ALERTMore than 10,600 cases were confirmed in 2024, which is around three people for every 100,000, per the latest available data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This marks the third consecutive annual increase, and the total 2024 case count is the highest annual number since 2013.Despite the recent increase, TB rates in the U.S. remain relatively low compared to many parts of the world, as the global average is about 131 cases per 100,000, per the World Health Organization. That’s approximately 40 times higher globally compared to the U.S.TB is a curable bacterial infection that targets the lungs, but can also infect other organs, according to Johns Hopkins. It is spread through airborne particles released when an infected person coughs, speaks or sneezes.URGENT WARNING ISSUED BY CDC AS CHIKUNGUNYA VIRUS OUTBREAK HITS VACATION DESTINATIONRenuga Vivekanandan, MD, professor at Creighton University School of Medicine and VP and CMO of CHI Health Physician Enterprise Midwest, said the rise in tuberculosis cases in the U.S. is concerning, but noted that it was foreseeable.”The COVID-19 pandemic effectively disrupted TB surveillance and treatment programs across the country,” the doctor, who is board-certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases, told Fox News Digital. “What we’re seeing now is largely a rebound effect – latent TB infections that went undetected or untreated during the pandemic are now activating.”Another factor is a return to international travel and increased migration from countries where TB is more prevalent, according to Vivekanandan. The uptick has also strained healthcare systems. “Local and state public health TB programs became understaffed during the pandemic, and that capacity hasn’t fully recovered,” the doctor said. While around 25% of people have likely been infected with the TB bacteria, about 5% to 10% will go on to develop active disease, according to health agencies.MEASLES OUTBREAK POSES RISK OF ‘IRREVERSIBLE’ BRAIN DAMAGE, HEALTH OFFICIALS WARNA person with a latent infection has been infected with the tuberculosis bacteria, but the bacteria are inactive in the body. While latent-stage TB is not contagious, it can develop into active disease in 5% to 10% of people. Only people with active TB disease in the lungs or throat can spread the infection. Those who get sick with TB may experience mild symptoms, including coughing, chest pain, fatigue, weight loss, weakness, fever and night sweats, per the CDC. In some cases, however, the disease can also affect the kidneys, spine, skin and brain.CLICK HERE FOR MORE HEALTH STORIES”TB can affect any organ of the body, but it causes disease in the lung in over 80% of cases,” Masae Kawamura, M.D., a former TB control director in San Francisco and a tuberculosis clinician, previously told Fox News Digital. “This is dangerous because it causes cough, the mechanism of airborne spread.”In more severe cases, patients may cough up blood, noted Kawamura, who serves on the board of directors of Vital Strategies, a global public health organization.”Often, there are minimal symptoms for a long time, and people mistake their occasional cough with allergies, smoking or a cold they can’t shake off,” she added.”The good news is that TB is both preventable and treatable,” Vivekanandan said.”People who are at higher risk – including those born in or traveling frequently to high TB-burden countries, individuals living in crowded conditions, or those who are immunocompromised – should speak with their doctor about TB testing.”Other high-risk groups include people who have diabetes, are malnourished, use tobacco and/or drink excess amounts of alcohol. Babies and children are also more vulnerable to the disease.Doctors typically use a skin or blood test to detect TB infection, followed by imaging or sputum (mucus) testing to confirm active disease, per the CDC.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR HEALTH NEWSLETTERThe disease is treated with antibiotics that are taken every day for four to six months, the CDC states. Some of the most common include isoniazid, rifampicin, pyrazinamide and ethambutol.Failure to take the complete course of medications can cause the bacteria to become drug-resistant, which means it does not respond to standard antibiotics. Drug-resistant TB is more difficult and costly to treat and requires longer, more complex medication regimens, according to experts. If TB goes untreated, it is fatal in about half of its victims.”Latent TB, which causes no symptoms and is not contagious, can be treated and cured before it ever progresses to active TB, which is infectious,” Vivekanandan said.”Identifying and treating latent infection is one of the most powerful tools we have for protecting both individual patients and the broader community.”TEST YOURSELF WITH OUR LATEST LIFESTYLE QUIZ The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends screening only for populations at increased risk rather than for the general population.
DHS shutdown putting Americans at risk as World Cup security prep ‘significantly behind’: Sen Fetterman
Amid a funding standoff that went into overtime on Friday, Sen. John Fetterman is stressing the need for lawmakers to end travel delays and support the country’s weakened airport security as he warns that security preparations are “significantly behind” for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.”I could never justify this from the start, but here we are day 39, 40? It’s like, how long are you gonna continue that?” Fetterman told Fox News Digital earlier this week.Fetterman raised concerns that the shutdown — the second for TSA workers have endured in just three months — has wreaked havoc on the country’s transportation security workforce that won’t be easily undone ahead of high-profile U.S.-based events.”Preparations are significantly behind and now we’re 77 days out and this is still shut down. And you have millions of people from abroad coming and millions of Americans joining these two,” Fetterman said, referring to the World Cup.SCHUMER GAMBIT FAILS AS DHS SHUTDOWN HITS 36 DAYS AND AIRPORT LINES GROWFetterman’s comments come as the Senate advanced most of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) funding in the early hours of Friday morning. Their bill looked to supply the many agencies that operate under DHS such as the Secret Service, the Coast Guard, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), TSA and more — but at the exclusion of funding for Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE).Funding DHS first ran dry on February 14, when Democrats made their support for the agency conditional on a set of reforms to rein in President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown. The Senate’s bill didn’t include any of the Democrats’ reform, but also didn’t include funding for ICE, either. That proposal ran into fierce resistance in the House of Representatives, where even U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson blasted the attempted resolution.”This gambit that was done last night is a joke. I’m quite convinced — it can’t be that every Senate Republican read the language of this bill. It’s pretty alarming. It says, quote: ‘the contents printed under the headings of this bill: U.S. immigrations and customs enforcement and border security operations … an amount specified in the final bill shall be zero’,” Johnson said, reading from the Senate bill’s text.”We’re not doing that,” Johnson added. The agency has, however, already received $75 billion through Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill in July of 2025 — enough to fund the agency’s operations at least through 2026. House Republicans stressed that it’s unclear if those funds can legally be used to fund all of ICE’s operations. Instead of passing the Senate’s plan, the House advanced its own package late Friday night, which would extend DHS funding at current levels for two months, buying more time for lawmakers to continue negotiations over ICE.The House version is likely dead on arrival in the Senate.TSA CALLOUTS HIT HOUSTON, ATLANTA, NEW ORLEANS HARDEST, 450 OFFICERS HAVE QUIT NATIONWIDEAs lawmakers continue the back-and-forth over the ICE funding standoff, spokespersons from DHS also echoed Fetterman’s calls to restore travel operations, slamming the compounding effects of the repeated shutdowns.”Now, 366 TSA officers have left the force. Because of this DHS shutdown, Americans are facing HOURS long waits at airports across the country. Democrats must reopen DHS now,” Lauren Bis, a spokesperson for the agency said in a press release.Although Trump signed an executive order on Friday that looks to fund the salaries of TSA workers, the agency also noted that even with the resolution to the shutdown looking hopeful, the country’s travel security would take time to recover.”TSA does not have the luxury of time. The FIFA World Cup is kicking off on June 11 – less than three months away. We are anticipating a significant influx in passenger volume as fans travel through our airports to see the games,” DHS said in a press release.”Even if TSA were to hire new officers upon the conclusion of the DHS shutdown, those officers would not be able to work on the checkpoint until well after the World Cup has concluded.”DHS DEAL IN LIMBO AS DEMOCRATS DEMAND TOUGHER ICE CRACKDOWN DESPITE GOP COMPROMISEFetterman urged members of his own party to focus on the country’s outstanding travel needs instead of continuing to pursue their demands.”[It’s] just getting harder and harder to justify extending this shutdown,” Fetterman said.
African nation calls for Ilhan Omar to be extradited after Vance’s fraud claim
An African nation is calling for Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., to be extradited after Vice President JD Vance claimed during an interview that the lawmaker committed immigration fraud. The Republic of Somaliland, a partially recognized state in the Horn of Africa, reacted in a post on X to the claim that Vance made in a podcast interview with conservative commentator Benny Johnson.”Deportation? Please you’re just sending the princess back to her kingdom. Extradition? In December, she called the accusations “bigoted lies,” writing on social media that Trump was obsessed with her.”He needs serious help,” Omar wrote on X at the time. “Since he has no economic policies to tout, he’s resorting to regurgitating bigoted lies instead.”Fox News Digital has reached out to Omar’s office for comment on the vice president’s claim.COMER PROBES SUDDEN WEALTH JUMP TIED TO ILHAN OMAR’S HUSBAND, EYES LINK TO MINNESOTA FRAUDSomaliland’s post about Omar, who is from Somalia, comes amid criticism over her opposition to the recognition of an independent Somaliland and her defense of Somalia’s territorial claims.Somaliland has acted as a self-governing territory since 1991, maintaining internal security and building its own democratic institutions. While most in the international community, including the U.S., do not recognize Somaliland as an independent country, Israel became the first UN member state to recognize the self-declared state.Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced last year that Israel had established full diplomatic relations with Somaliland, describing the move as being in the spirit of the United States-brokered Abraham Accords.Fox News Digital’s Emma Bussey contributed to this report.
