Former J6 Defendant Turned DOJ Senior Adviser RESIGNS — Says Deep-State Rot Too Entrenched to Expose From Within
Credit: Department of Justice
Former FBI agent and J6 defendant Jared Wise has officially resigned from his senior position at the DOJ.
In a bombshell announcement on X, Wise revealed that the rot within the federal government is so deep that the only way to truly expose the FBI and DOJ’s weaponization against Trump supporters is from the outside.
“Today I resigned from my position at the U.S. Department of Justice. I returned to Washington to fully expose the abuses by the FBI and DOJ against J6 defendants, but it became clear that this will only happen from outside of government. So I left and will do so.”
Today I resigned from my position at the U.S. Department of Justice.
I returned to Washington to fully expose the abuses by the FBI and DOJ against J6 defendants, but it became clear that this will only happen from outside of government.
So I left and will do so.
— Jared Wise (@TheWiseJared) April 2, 2026
Wise, a former FBI agent turned federal whistleblower and Project Veritas journalist, had been brought into the DOJ as a counselor to Ed Martin, who previously led the Department of Justice’s “Weaponization Working Group,” a unit tasked with investigating “politicized justice” and “abuses of the criminal justice process.”
Wise was on the ground January 6 as a journalist and patriot documenting the events, and yes, in the heat of the moment as violence erupted (much of it allegedly instigated or allowed by federal assets, as whistleblowers have testified), bodycam footage captured him allegedly referring to certain police officers as “Nazis” and “Gestapo” and yelling “Kill ’em! Kill ’em! Kill ’em!” The FBI affidavit used that to charge him with two felonies and four misdemeanors.
Wise’s case was dismissed the day President Trump was inaugurated, as part of the sweeping pardons that freed hundreds of J6 defendants from the greatest miscarriage of justice in modern American history.
Yet the radical Democrats at the time were having a meltdown over Wise even being hired in the first place.
In a whiny letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, the usual swamp creatures – Dick Durbin (D-IL), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), and Adam Schiff (D-CA) – demanded Wise should resign:
“We strongly object to the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) shameless hiring of Jared Wise as a senior adviser. This is an individual who stormed the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, and was accordingly charged with multiple felony offenses, including assaulting and aiding and abetting the assault of police while on Capitol grounds… The Trump Administration’s choices to double down on its politicization of DOJ and elevate those who have actively attacked the rule of law, such as Mr. Wise, are a slap in the face to law enforcement everywhere.”
DOJ itself initially pushed back, with a spokesperson declaring: “Jared Wise is a valued member of the Justice Department and we appreciate his contributions to our team.”
Wise resignation follows Trump’s firing of Bondi as US attorney general, and Todd Blanche will replace Bondi in the interim.

Australia Considers Emergency Powers To Protect Domestic Gas Supply
Australia Considers Emergency Powers To Protect Domestic Gas Supply
Authored by Tsvetana Paraskova via OilPrice.com,
Australia’s government intends to consider using emergency powers to protect domestic natural gas supply in case of a shortfall on its east coast in the third quarter of 2026.
The potential consideration of using such powers would be part of the steps the Albanese Government is taking to secure domestic gas supplies for Australian households and industry as the Middle East conflict disrupts global energy markets.
Australian Minister for Resources, Madeleine King, has given notice of her intention to consider using powers under the Australian Domestic Gas Security Mechanism (ADGSM) to protect Australian energy supplies in the event of a possible east coast domestic gas shortfall in the third quarter of 2026, the winter months Down Under.
The minister will consult with major gas producers over the next 30 days regarding supplies to the domestic market and will make a decision on whether to use the ADGSM by the middle of May, the government said.
“My decision to issue a notice of intent is a precautionary measure that gives me the flexibility to intervene if Australia is at risk of facing an energy shortfall,” King said in a statement.
“The notice does not place any limits on gas exports. Currently, Australia’s domestic market is well supplied with Australian gas.”
Australia remains a reliable gas supplier to international partners, but if there is a risk of domestic supply shortfall, Australians will be priority for energy supplies during the disruption on the global markets caused by the war in the Middle East, the minister said.
On Wednesday, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) said that wholesale gas supply on Australia’s east coast is expected to be tight and large volumes of gas will likely be required from storage to meet demand in the third quarter of 2026.
Apart from gas supply, Australia has moved to protect consumers from soaring fuel prices.
Early this week, the government halved the fuel excise on gasoline and diesel for three months in a bid to alleviate financial stress from spiking fuel prices.

Concerns about online predators, rising suicide rates and mental health issues helped spark the legislation.Uthmeier called on companies like Snapchat, Roblox, Discord, and TikTok to follow Meta’s lead. Uthmeier made it clear that for companies choosing not to comply, the state’s AG office will be “seeking heavy damages” and injunctive relief in court.Fox News Digital reached out to Meta for comment.

“This is a terrible day in our city. A tragedy that truly shocks the conscience. As a mother, I cannot image the pain that this family is feeling or the grief that they now carry with them. It is unspeakable,” NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said.
The child’s mother, Lianna Charles-Moore, said she thought her family was safe, then realized what had happened, according to the New York Post.
“I was hugging [my son], and then when I looked to my left, my daughter was just there, lying there. She was shot in the head. She was just bleeding. It was just too much,” Charles-Moore said.

She said police “came and told the mother and she went crazy. She lost it. Then the last thing I heard her say was, ‘No, no, no!’ She was just screaming out, ‘No. I can’t believe this!”
WABC reported that the 21-year-old suspect in custody was wanted on an unrelated domestic violence-related robbery, and that police believed he was affiliated with a gang. Police have launched a manhunt for the other suspect.

DHS releases new evidence in case of Dem staffer accused of impersonating ICE attorney
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released additional evidence it says confirms that a staffer for Rep. Veronica Escobar, D-Texas, lied about being an attorney for detainees at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in an effort to meet with them and sneak in smuggled cell phones. In March, Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons informed Escobar in a letter about Benito Torres, a senior caseworker on the congresswoman’s staff, who he said lied about being a lawyer for detainees in ICE custody at the Camp East Montana facility at Fort Bliss in El Paso.Lyons requested that Escobar answer several questions about Torres’ alleged actions.”Rep.
