Space Nuclear Power Initiative Sends Reactor Companies Flying
Space Nuclear Power Initiative Sends Reactor Companies Flying
An announcement from the administration’s Science and Technology Director, Michael Kratsios, regarding the establishment of the National Initiative for American Space Nuclear Power sent reactor development companies higher over the following trading days.
The time has come for America to get underway on nuclear power in space🇺🇸 https://t.co/fLrM4MtNbM

Oklo and NuScale have been soaring…
Investors are betting on reactor development companies being involved in multiple different nuclear-related applications in space missions to include propulsion, shuttle electrical power, and power for bases on the moon and Mars. The question stands, though, as to which developer actually has a chance of being involved in any of these programs?
For those not tracking, outer space has some slightly different environmental factors to consider compared to the surface of the Earth. Multiple physics headaches including low or zero gravity create headaches that prevent certain reactor designs from ever having a hope of operating in extraterrestrial settings.
Additional problems, like not having a readily available heat sink like a large body of water nearby, creates compound difficulties for some of the more traditional reactor designs.
Earlier this year, the administration began talking about putting reactors on the moon by 2030. We provided some details to our readers about what nuclear companies they should expect to be involved in the process.
Nuclear Reactors On The Moon By 2030 https://t.co/RCmZe8rrvt

Relying on the opinion of Mr. Market is likely not the best idea in a technical scenario. Instead it’s best to just look at the last attempt that was made at operating reactors on the moon and derive assumptions from those that were previously involved in the program.
NASA originally made attempts to develop lunar power by working with companies like Lockheed Martin, BWXT, Westinghouse, X-energy, and Boeing. Through their coordinated efforts, the leading designs for the project pointed to high-temperature gas-cooled reactors (HTGRs) utilizing tristructural isotropic (TRISO) fuel. Given the physics of the universe haven’t changed much over the past few years, it’s safe to assume the reactor of choice for the latest space initiatives will likely also be a HTGR.
So who is making HTGRs today? Currently, in the publicly traded space, there is Nano Nuclear and Terra Innovatum. X-energy is another likely candidate for the program, and they recently submitted their S-1 to begin the process to execute an IPO later this year.
X-energy has announced the launch of the roadshow for its IPO! https://t.co/tqwbs0s9cC pic.twitter.com/pXnFw95vBK
— X-energy (@xenergynuclear) April 15, 2026
Terra Innovatum has yet to make any announcement regarding the extraterrestrial application of their SOLO reactor design, but Nano Nuclear’s Loki reactor is specifically marketed for environments like outer space.

— NANO Nuclear Energy (NASDAQ: NNE) (@nano_nuclear) January 15, 2026
BWXT is also likely to be involved to some extent due to their extensive experience working with NASA in the areas of nuclear propulsion. Additionally, BWXT is one of only two manufacturers that is able to produce TRISO fuel in the US.
If anything, the pump across the board for nuclear names should be less attributed to their potential for involvement in NASA’s missions and more attributed to the wider adoption and acceptance of nuclear energy across multiple applications besides just powering the grid.
It is a very straightforward conclusion that only certain reactor designs can operate in space. Companies like NuScale and Terrestrial Energy will almost certainly be excluded due to the physics of operating off of Earth.

Utah Valley University Removes Graduation Speaker Who Called Charlie Kirk ‘Bigoted’ Just Days After His Murder
Image: Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International license./Author: An Errant Knight
On September 10, 2025, conservative icon Charlie Kirk was politically assassinated on the campus of Utah Valley University (UVU).
In the days following his murder, while Americans were still mourning, Sharon McMahon, an author and host of the podcast Here’s Where It Gets Interesting, posted a series of quotes on social media, including Instagram and Threads, critical of Kirk, including calling him ‘biogted.’
And yet, for some inexplicable reason, UVU selected McMahon as its keynote commencement speaker for the school’s 2026 graduation ceremony later this month. She was also set to receive an honorary Doctor of Education degree.
Following intense backlash, UVU announced that McMahon will no longer speak.
Per The College Fix:
On Sept. 12, 2025, just two days after an assassin brutally murdered Kirk during an on-campus event, McMahon posted on Instagram a series of quotes from stating: “These aren’t sound bites taken out of context. Millions of people feel they were harmed, and the murder that was horrific and should never have happened does not magically erase what was said or done.”
Her thread argued that Kirk said horrible things about black and LGBTQ people, as well as women, claiming he promulgated “bigoted ideas on a stage that reached tens of millions.”
“It’s important to remember that the incredible tragedy of a public assassination does not erase the harm many experienced from his words, and the ensuing actions his followers took,” she wrote.
A statement from UVU cites “increased safety concerns related to the speaker” as the reason for the cancellation, rather than their incredibly poor taste in selecting McMahon in the first place.
Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT) lambasted UVU’s decision to even have McMahon speak in the first place.
Owens wrote on X, “Utah Valley University’s decision to hand its commencement stage to Sharon McMahon is not just wrong. It is morally bankrupt.”
“On a campus still scarred by the murder of Charlie Kirk, UVU has chosen a speaker who, in that moment of national grief, could not muster the basic decency to honor a life lost. Instead, she chose to diminish it. That is not leadership. It is arrogance, self-righteousness, and condescension posing as virtue.”
“UVU did not just tolerate that behavior. They rewarded it.”
“This is a stunning failure of judgment by an institution that should know better and a speaker who has shown she does not.”
“Charlie Kirk was a husband, a patriot, and a man who inspired millions of young Americans to stand up and engage. His life deserves respect. His wife deserves compassion. What UVU is offering instead is contempt.”
“This decision is an insult to every student, every family, and every decent person who expects more from a university.”
“UVU should reverse course immediately.”
Utah Valley University’s decision to hand its commencement stage to Sharon McMahon is not just wrong. It is morally bankrupt.
On a campus still scarred by the murder of Charlie Kirk, UVU has chosen a speaker who, in that moment of national grief, could not muster the basic…
— Rep. Burgess Owens (@RepBurgessOwens) April 14, 2026
A poll conducted by Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) was unequivocal.
Utah Valley University is disrespecting the tens of millions of Americans who are still mourning Charlie Kirk’s death by scheduling Sharon McMahon—who defamed Charlie within hours after he was murdered on UVU’s campus—as its commencement speaker
Should UVU find another speaker?

Liberal globalist Pope Leo fights Trump and America First
Read Hanne’s The Herland Report.
The Bishop of Rome, Pope Leo XIV, has gone to the remarkable step of deciding whose prayers God hears or not. In his Palm Sunday Easter speech at the Vatican, he said that God rejects the prayers of “war leaders,” clearly aimed at President Trump.
The mistake liberal globalist Pope Leo makes is that he attempts to use selective Scriptures that fit his preferred political narrative, misusing his religious authority to impose on all Christians his own Democrat views and disdain of President Trump. It is a massive mistake.
The pope knows perfectly well that warlords like King David in the Old Testament were men of God. King David wrote some of the most beautiful prayers in the Bible. Did God not hear King David’s prayers, and if so, why are his psalms in the Bible? The pope also knows perfectly well that warriors like Joshua, who led the Israelites into the Promised Land, served the will of God. The God of Abraham blessed wars against the unrighteous and helped his people during enemy attacks.
For those who refute that the Old Testament is relevant, God is the same yesterday, today and forever, Scripture tells in Hebrews 13:8. Jesus steadily quotes the Old Testament when documenting the righteous way to handle matters, for example in Mark 2:25-26, when he reminds the people of a story of King David. Jesus also points out that he did not come to abolish the Law but to fulfill it. (Matthew 5:17)
Emperor Constantine Christianized the Roman Empire, went to war with the cross painted on shields and lifted the Christian faith to become the main religion, while leading the state in wars and conquest.
At the siege of Vienna in 1683, Islamic hordes were stopped from overtaking Europe. The Europeans were led by Habsburg Holy Roman emperor Leopold I. Even the Vatican itself, where Pope Leo resides, has very high walls protecting the Papacy from illegal-immigrant intruders.
Many kings, presidents and state leaders juggled personal faith with state responsibilities. Did God not hear the prayers of Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War? Does liberal Leo seriously mean that he has been given the revelation from God that God did not hear any of the prayers of biblical leaders and state leaders in history who were engaged in warfare?
The pope knows perfectly well that Jesus said: “Give to the Emperor what belongs to the Emperor, and to God what belongs to God” (Matthew 22:21), signifying the different roles that state leaders have apart from individual believers.
Saint Paul also comments on these vastly different roles as he warns individuals from breaking the Law: “… the government is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, because it does not carry the sword for no reason. For government is God’s servant, an avenger that brings wrath on the one who does wrong.” (Romans 13:4) Saint Paul thereby calls government God’s servant that brings wrath on the transgressor. The state has powers given from God to organize and implement law and order so to administer justice among its citizens.
The pope also knows very well that capital punishment was used in the Old Testament, for example for pedophilia, so how can he subversively criticize the Trump administration for using it today? Pro-life means opposing the abortion of innocent unborns and does not in any way whatsoever equate to being “pro-criminals,” excusing those who have violated others in such horrific ways that the death penalty is invoked.
In December 2025, the pope equally surprisingly let his personal political convictions color his manipulative religious language and judgment when criticizing President Trump. The United States has millions of illegal immigrants who have violated the law and illegally entered the country. Pope Leo supports the notion men who break the law should walk free? Criminals should be treated kindly and excused for rape and murder against law-abiding citizens? Is that the pope’s Christianity?
When citing Leviticus 19:33-34, “When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them” it clearly does not say “when a criminal who has violated the law of the land resides among you, do not reprehend him.” When Jesus speaks of welcoming a stranger, and Hebrews 13:2 says “do not forget to show hospitality to strangers,” it does not say “show hospitality to criminals who rape, murder and engage in human trafficking.”
Ill-advised Pope Leo, who should have stuck to teaching the hedonist, nihilist West the traditional moral standards and spiritual principles of Christianity, has shown his true colors by demonstrating his contempt for “America First.”

Morning Joe Admits: ‘Noose’ Now Around Iran, Trump Strategy ‘Working’
In a hell-freezes-over moment, Thursday’s Morning Joe featured something all but unheard of: Joe Scarborough making the case for Trump’s Iran strategy.
Discussing the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports along the Strait of Hormuz, Scarborough described what he’s hearing from regional and Trump administration sources as a “growing sense of optimism.”
Citing a Gulf ally, Scarborough said that where “the noose was around our neck,” the blockade has now “put it on Iran.”
That assessment was reinforced by David Ignatius, who pointed to the unexpectedly muted market response. Oil prices, he noted, have failed to spike as Iran had hoped, while the stock market continues to hit record highs—blunting Tehran’s leverage.
“Iran was thinking… the effect on markets would be enormous,” Ignatius said. “Instead, the stock market is setting records… and that, in effect, devalues Iran’s biggest weapon.”
Scarborough underscored the point, noting that economic resilience at home is strengthening the White House’s hand.
Even so, Scarborough couldn’t resist inserting his customary anti-Trump barbs—complaining about “blasphemous” behavior and references to “AI images of Jesus Christ.” But the bottom line was unmistakable.
“When he’s not being blasphemous… he’s running a war,” Scarborough said. “And right now, that seems to be working fairly well.”

— Mark Finkelstein (@markfinkelstein) April 16, 2026
Former Obama administration advisor Hagar Chemali took the argument even further. Noting that Iran “doesn’t have an economic leg to stand on,” she predicted that “in a matter of months, the regime is not going to be able to pay their soldiers”—a scenario that could trigger military defections.
Chemali added an ominous warning: “A military can only be so loyal when it’s not getting paid.”
Here’s the transcript.
MS NOWMorning Joe
4/16/26
6:03 am EDT
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: There are also signs of optimism from the White House. Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt told reporters in a briefing yesterday, quote, we feel good about the prospects of a deal.
That comes as U.S. Central Command says its blockade of Iranian ports along the Strait of Hormuz is holding firm. According to CENTCOM, no ships have passed through since the operation began Monday morning. Officials say nine vessels turned around in the first 48 hours after being warned.
. . .
JOE SCARBOROUGH: David Ignatius, from talking to people in the region, in the Gulf region, talking to people inside the White House connected to the negotiations, I’m hearing a growing sense of optimism, something that wasn’t really there a week ago. A growing sense of optimism that moving forward with the blockade actually is a low-risk high-reward alternative to what was going on before that began.
And they believe you know, I have passed by members of the administration your observation a week ago: we needed to get into a position where time was on our side instead of time being on the Iranian side. They feel like this has gotten them into that position. What do you think? What are you hearing?
DAVID IGNATIUS: So, Joe, I think you described the sense of optimism of the White House team correctly.
SCARBOROUGH: What impact has the market’s continued resiliency had on actually putting the White House in a stronger position? Because the markets are not responding quite as dramatically as many people thought at the beginning. They were expecting $125 dollars per barrel, maybe $150. It’s hovering at or below 100, and the S&P up to record highs. That gives the White House, that gives negotiators a lot more latitude with Iran, doesn’t it?
IGNATIUS: It does. I think Iran was thinking that as it continued to hold the Strait of Hormuz hostage, and again, Joe, I see this as a hostage-taking, that the effect on markets would be enormous, and the level of pain for Donald Trump would be enormous.
Instead, the stock market is setting records, the oil markets seem to be kind of sloughing this off, and that, in effect, devalues Iran’s biggest weapon.
And in fact, by blockading the blockade, it’s Iran that now has a problem. It’s only got a few weeks left. It needs the revenue badly to be able to, as one part of the U.S. team put it, Iran has been living in a military version of COVID. There’s no economic activity, nothing going on in Tehran. They need this to end soon.
So I think you’re right to describe the optimism that the White House feels as it looks at the markets, and undoubtedly the disappointment the Iranians feel that their weapon isn’t drawing much blood.
SCARBOROUGH: Most of the military targets they wanted to hit, they hit, so they’ve considered a military operation. But right alongside of that has been the fact that it’s been a political failure.
This has seemingly shifted that equation, at least talking to our allies in the Gulf region, one of whom told me a few days ago that they had been discussing this with Jared Kushner and actually saying a blockade would choke off Iran’s support, financial support, and they would be left with no option other than deal with the United States.
And my reporting, at least, from this Gulf ally, is that Kushner went to the White House, went to the president, and lobbied for this very hard to get that blockade.
And now that the blockade’s in there, you and I were talking yesterday about it. Our sources inside the White House suggest that when the president’s not being blasphemous. When the president’s not doing AI images of Jesus Christ, Jesus of Nazareth, they’re actually feeling fairly optimistic on Iran and feel like this blockade has completely changed the dynamics.
This Gulf leader inartfully said, the noose was around our neck. This move has taken it off of us and put it on Iran, and now they have to act.
. . .
When he’s not being blasphemous, when he’s not attacking God’s representative on Earth, when he’s not mocking Jesus Christ, he’s running a war. And right now, that seems to be working fairly well, this blockade.
HAGAR CHEMALI: And when you look at the economics of it, the Iranian regime has been in an economic collapse since last year. And Iran’s own central bank highlighted that, alerting that their own banks, each one was about to explode, all of their major ones. One of their major ones exploded, Bank Ayandeh in the fall of last year. And that’s what precipitated the protests, because of the regime’s economic mismanagement.
So when it comes to how long they can hang on, this is a question of how long they can pay their soldiers for. And the fact is that in a matter of months, the regime is not going to be able to pay their soldiers.
But I don’t think the blockade will last that long. I think you’re talking more matter of weeks, days. But as a regime, economically, it doesn’t have an economic leg to stand on.
And that’s when you’re going to see a problem. Military defections. A military can only be so loyal when it’s not getting paid.

A year for a thousand ants.
Wildlife trafficking is an international problem that national authorities try to tackle as best they can.
In Africa, this is an ongoing issue for countries with rich ecological diversity and often substandard law enforcement infrastructure.
A Kenyan court on Wednesday ordered a Chinese man to pay a fine of 1 million shillings ($7,746) and gave him a 12-month jail term for trying to smuggle live ants out of the country. https://t.co/2lMUiGYVkE

Yesterday (15), a Chinese national was sentenced to a year in prison for his attempt ‘to smuggle thousands of live queen garden ants out of Kenya’.
Chinese national Zhang Kequn was arrested last month at Nairobi’s main international airport with more than 2,200 live garden ants in his luggage.
Zhang’s lawyer said he would appeal against his sentence pic.twitter.com/H1b9BMJlaz

BBC reported:
“The court in Nairobi on Wednesday also fined Zhang Kequn 1m Kenyan shillings ($7,737). Judge Irene Gichobi described Zhang as not ‘entirely honest’ and lacking in remorse.
Last month, he was charged with illegally dealing in wildlife species after being arrested at Nairobi’s main airport while attempting to travel to China with more than 2,000 ants in his luggage.”
Prized by collectors, ants are in high demand in Europe and Asia.
“’There is need for a stiff deterrent sentence’, Judge Gichobi said, noting the ‘rising cases of dealing in large quantities of garden ants and the negative ecological side effects’.
[…] Following Zhang’s arrest at Nairobi’s international airport on 10 March, the court heard he had bought the ants from Kenyan national Charles Mwangi at 10,000 Kenyan shillings (£58; $77) for every 100 of them.”

Fox News Covers Video of Lefty Mob Assaulting TPUSA Reporter
In contrast with liberal media like MS NOW and CNN, Fox News this week has been informing viewers of a recent violent assault on a right-leaning reporter by left-wing activists in Minneapolis.
On Tuesday morning, Fox & Friends showed video of TPUSA reporter Savanah Hernandez being attacked by a mob of anti-ICE demonstrators. At one point, she was even pushed to the ground by a large man.
Co-host Ainsley Earhardt recalled:
She was there talking to people on the street — they found out she worked for Turning Point — she was there like an anti-ICE rally or something out on the street, anti-ICE group — and they found out she works for Turning Point, and this is what happened. They pushed her, shoved her to the ground, and assaulted her.
Then came a video clip of Hernandez being surrounded and harassed. As co-host Lawrence Jones jumped in, disturbing video was shown of the conservative reporter being pushed to the ground:

LAWRENCE JONES: So after you’ll see a grown man — as you said, Ainsley, some two hundred and something pounds — that assaulted her as well. And then I look at this video of the woman that hit her. She got released from the jail yesterday. She says that —
(clip of man shoving Hernandez to the ground is shown)
— the man was defending her. Excuse me, look at this video. A man should never hit a woman.
Co-host Brian Kilmeade then informed viewers that the FBI is moving to prosecute three of the agitators who attacked Hernandez:
BRIAN KILMEADE: So the attorney — the assistant attorney general, Harmeet Dhillon, is going to look into this — the FBI is investigating this. We know exactly who they are because she was courageous enough to keep the camera rolling.
JONES: Look at that — he spit on her.
KILMEADE: And the thing is, this is — these people are unhinged apparently. If you are so proud of the mission you’re on and the quest that you’ve signed up for, tell everybody. This is your opportunity. Tell everybody. Look at that guy.
A clip of the TPUSA reporter, who appeared on Monday’s The Ingraham Angle, was then shown getting emotional as she recounted what happened to her:
I wasn’t engaging with anybody. I was — and I apologize. This is the first time I’m talking about this assault, and I — I’m scared to report, Laura. This is my job — it’s what I’ve been doing for the last six years, and I’m terrified to do my job. I can’t even interview people properly on the street because I got brutally assaulted and pushed to the ground by a 250-pound man for simply going and reporting on anti-ICE activities.
On Wednesday, the show followed up by noting that Vice President JD Vance speaking out and promising that the FBI will prosecute those responsible.

EARHARDT: She is pressing charges. She was on last night with Laura (Ingraham), and she said, “I am pressing charges.” Good for her — she should. These people need to be held accountable. Here’s a little bit of that interview with Laura.
SAVANAH HERNANDEZ, TPUSA REPORTER: I wasn’t engaging with anybody. I was — and I apologize. This is the first time I’m talking about this assault, and I — I’m scared to report, Laura. I made a point not to engage, Laura, because I know the left wing is violent. They assassinated Charlie Kirk last year, and now they’re coming for each and every Turning Point USA employee because they know they can get away with it because the local jurisdictions aren’t going to charge them. Now, luckily, the sheriffs are planning on bringing forth charges, I hope.
California Offering Taxpayer-Funded Gender Surgeries To Homeless, Illegal Immigrants: Report
California Offering Taxpayer-Funded Gender Surgeries To Homeless, Illegal Immigrants: Report
Authored by Luis Cornelio via Headline USA,
The California government may struggle to provide basic housing for the homeless, but it appears willing to fund gender-transition procedures with taxpayer dollars, including illegal aliens, according to a new report.
A Wednesday report from City Journal found that San Francisco homeless shelters, with the assistance of state and local governments, are facilitating transgender surgeries for males who identify as female.
One such shelter, St. Vincent de Paul’s MSC-South, entered into a $66 million contract with the city to house homeless individuals, including illegal aliens.
A pair of Honduran nationals living at the shelter, Lyca and Alondra, reportedly identify as transgender, and both said they receive Medi-Cal, California’s taxpayer-funded Medicaid program.
According to City Journal, the taxpayer-funded program covers transgender procedures, or “gender-affirming care,” and provides “full-scope” coverage to illegal aliens.
Lyca, who reportedly showed signs of a sex change, said he is receiving cross-sex hormone therapy.
Meanwhile, Alondra, who appeared more masculine in physique, said he entered the U.S. illegally after claiming asylum. A translator told City Journal that Alondra declined a housing offer due to affordability concerns, though the government offered to pay one month’s rent.
Another shelter, the Embarcadero SAFE Navigation Center, reportedly houses a transgender-identifying individual named Jacqueline.
Originally from Mexico, Jacqueline told City Journal that illegal aliens reside at the shelter and said he received breast implants through Medi-Cal.
Jacqueline claimed to be a permanent resident but acknowledged that the program also covers procedures for illegal aliens.
“Even though you’re undocumented, you can get them,” he stated, as quoted by City Journal. “You have to have a process, the hormones … go through therapy.”
Asked whether he had received so-called “bottom surgery,” Jacqueline replied, “I’m waiting for that one.”
Headline USA reached out to MSC-South for clarification, including whether such procedures are facilitated by the shelter, but a front-desk receptionist said no one was available to comment.
When pressed further, he added, “We’re busy right now, boss man.”
Attempts to contact the Embarcadero SAFE Navigation Center were unsuccessful, as its main line appeared disconnected. Five Keys Housing, the shelter’s parent company, was closed when Headline USA called.
A Newsom spokesperson stood by the state’s taxpayer-funded program, saying, “Undocumented Californians don’t get special treatment. Everyone on Medi-Cal gets the same access to care. If you want to call California woke for not letting politicians interfere with doctors – or not wanting people to die in the streets – then go ahead.”
BREAKING: Gavin Newsom’s office has confirmed that California is giving free sex-change surgeries to homeless illegal aliens.
They’re doubling down—and, inexplicably, suggesting that without state-funded breast implants and artificial vaginas, migrants will “die in the streets.” pic.twitter.com/1bMt2rbSKE

The City Journal report comes as California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s administration faces mounting scrutiny over potential exploitation of taxpayer-funded programs, from hospice fraud to the expansion of taxpayer-funded gender procedures for illegal aliens.
