INVESTIGATIONS

After Trump Starts Mass Deportations, the UK Government Tries To Look Tough, Divulges Footage of the Secret Flights Sending Back Foreign Criminals and Failed Asylum Seekers (VIDEO)

February 11, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: Gateway Pundit, INVESTIGATIONS

The Donald J. Trump administration is like a hurricane blowing through Europe, and nothing is the same, anymore.

And we are not just talking about the trade tariffs – many aspects of Trump’s administration are having a disruptive impact in European political establishments, beginning with the hardcore changes in immigration policy.

Now, we see the UK Labour government trying to look like there are vigorously tackling the matter, and the Home Office, today (10) released videos and photos of foreign criminals and failed asylum seekers being deported from Britain.

These images have been published for the first time – showing that up to five security escorts may be needed for every migrant.

The Telegraph reported:

“In an attempt to show Labour’s tougher approach to illegal migrants, the Home Office has released pictures showing five escorts in high-viz yellow vests with body-worn cameras surrounding a single migrant as he is ushered up the steps onto a chartered plane to be returned to his home country in Europe.

The previously secret, high-security deportation flights have been filmed for the first time as Sir Keir Starmer tries to head off the political threat from Nigel Farage’s Reform UK and demonstrate to a skeptical public that Labour is getting tough on illegal migration.”

Images from UK’s secret deportation flights have been released for the first time.

The UK images have been released following Trump’s administration having published images of illegals led single file onto a military transport plane.

The US migrants are fitted with chain shackles around their ankles and waist restraints clasping their hands to their bodies.

In the UK, these restraints are only used when dealing with ‘high-risk’ criminals or ‘asylum seekers’ liable to fight back and resist removal.

“The pictures – released as stills and video on the Home Office’s social media channels – show a flight of 47 foreign criminals and failed asylum seekers deported to an unnamed European destination. The video shows a coach that has pulled right up to the plane on the tarmac before each migrant is taken up the steps flanked by at least four escorts.”

The proportional numbers in the UK flights don’t seem to make much sense, as high risk deportees require four escorts, so that a plane with 50 potentially violent migrants would require up to 200 security escorts, besides medics and interpreters.

The UK images were released after the Trump administration showed these pictures of illegals being marched into a military plane for deportation.

“Some of the escorts from the private contractor Miti Care and Custody Services wear body-worn cameras to record any assaults and to provide evidence if a migrant subsequently tries to sue for unnecessary use of force. It is understood there have been previous legal claims.”

These long-haul charter flights can take as much as three to four months to plan – and to fight legal challenges.

“The UK images coincided with new data published by Yvette Cooper, the Home Secretary, showing that nearly 19,000 foreign criminals and migrants with no right to remain in the UK have been removed to Africa, Asia, Europe and South America since Labour won the election last July.”

The deportation numbers are still much lower than needed.

While the Home Office says it is the highest rate of returns since 2018, it is still much lower numbers than needed.

“The unprecedented release of the images coincided with the second reading of Labour’s border security bill, which introduces a raft of counter-terror style measures to combat people smugglers, including a new offence of selling boats and equipment for use by the gangs with a maximum prison sentence of 14 years.”

Tory MP Chris Philp, the shadow home secretary, said this is simply continuing the trend, with only 4 per cent of those arriving by small boats.

Labour is still allowing 96 per cent of illegal small boat arrivals to stay.

Watch: illegal migrants heading into the UK secret deportation flights.

Trump Pledged To Deport Pro-Hamas Student Visa Holders. Who Are They?

February 11, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: INVESTIGATIONS, Washington Free Beacon

Foreign students and professors have played a leading role in fomenting pro-terror and anti-Semitic demonstrations on U.S. college campuses. Now, many of them could face federal investigation or deportation following an executive order from President Donald Trump that calls on federal agencies to identify foreign “Hamas sympathizers on college campuses.”

“To all the resident aliens who joined in the pro-jihadist protests, we put you on notice: come 2025, we will find you, and we will deport you,” a fact sheet accompanying the order states.

Legal experts say foreign students and professors could now see their visas revoked for expressing support for terrorist groups or committing illegal activities as part of anti-Israel campus demonstrations. Betar USA, an anti-Semitism watchdog group, said it has identified a list of pro-Hamas student visa holders who could be subject to deportation and is assisting the Trump administration with its efforts.

“We’re having people throughout the country, North America, reaching out to us, professors, administrators, and sharing with us some of their concerns with certain individuals,” a representative for Betar USA told the Washington Free Beacon. “Our specific focus in this conversation is the students, and the takeover of universities throughout this country [that are] fomenting this very dangerous narrative.” Here are some of the names Betar submitted to the Trump administration:

Momodou Taal

Affiliation: Cornell University

Role: Graduate student

Countries of Origin: Gambia and the United Kingdom

Taal, who disclosed his F-1 visa status in an October interview with Inside Higher Ed, has repeatedly advocated for “armed resistance” and praised the Hamas attacks on Oct. 7. While leading an anti-Israel campus demonstration last year, Taal announced that he took his “cue from the armed resistance in Palestine.”

“We are in solidarity with the armed resistance in Palestine from the river to the sea,” he said.

Just hours after the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre, Taal praised the Hamas attacks on social media.

“The dialect demands: That wherever you have oppression, you will find those who are fighting against it. Glory to the resistance!” he wrote on X.

Taal drew national media attention in October when he was suspended for “escalating, egregious behavior and a disregard for the university policies,” including an anti-Israel demonstration that shut down a school career fair. Cornell planned to disenroll him, a move that would have brought about his deportation, but the school reversed course after pressure from anti-Israel groups.

“I don’t think they anticipated the level of backlash,” Taal said of Cornell. Prior to his suspension, he taught a course titled, “What Is Blackness? Race and Processes of Racialization.” After Cornell ruled in his favor, allowing him to retain his F-1 visa, Taal said in a statement, “There will never come a time where I say to myself that I went too hard for Gaza.”

Mohsen Mahdawi

Affiliation: Columbia University

Territory of Origin: West Bank

Role: Graduate student

Mahdawi, who has disclosed in media interviews that he “grew up in a Palestinian refugee camp,” has served as a leader in anti-Israel campus groups since first moving to the United States more than a decade ago. He is now in his mid-30s.

Most recently, Mahdawi served as co-president of Columbia’s Palestinian Students Union, a coalition of anti-Israel student groups, including Columbia’s suspended Students for Justice in Palestine and Jewish Voice for Peace chapters. The union has organized protests calling for Columbia’s divestment from Israel alongside Columbia University Apartheid Divest, the student organization behind the illegal encampments that plagued the school in the spring and led to the violent storming of a campus building, Hamilton Hall.

In public statements, Mahdawi has called for the destruction of Israel and blamed the Oct. 7 slaughter on the Jewish state.

“Hamas is a product of the Israeli occupation,” he told a New England newspaper two weeks after the terror attack. Mahdawi, according to the newspaper, also helped pen an Oct. 14 statement issued by anti-Israel groups at Columbia that said the “Palestinian struggle for freedom is rooted in international law, under which occupied peoples have the right to resist the occupation of their land.”

“If every political avenue available to Palestinians is blocked, we should not be surprised when resistance and violence breaks out.”

Mahmoud Khalil

Affiliation: Columbia University

Country of Origin: Canada

Role: Graduate student

Khalil, an activist with Columbia University Apartheid Divest, served as a lead negotiator for the group during Columbia’s illegal anti-Israel encampment last spring. At the time, he vowed that the group would “remain in this encampment until we achieve all of our demands,” which included a boycott of Israel.

“We have been negotiating since last night for more than 11 hours with the university to meet our demands regarding the cutting of economic and academic ties with Israeli universities and the universities involved in slaughtering our Palestinian people,” Khalil said in an interview.

Around that time, in April 2024, Khalil confirmed to Al Jazeera that he is “in the United States on an F-1 student visa.” He was suspended from Columbia for his role in the encampment, though the school quickly dropped the disciplinary measure, allowing Khalil to stay in the United States.

From there, Khalil plotted with fellow Columbia University Apartheid Divest members to carry out anti-Israel protests when they came back to campus in the fall. On the first day of classes, in September, student radicals blocked the entrance to the school, praised Hamas, vandalized a campus statue, and clashed with police.

“What we will see [is] the students will continue their activism, will continue doing what they’ve done in conventional and unconventional ways,” Khalil told the Hill one month prior in August. “So not only protests, not only encampments, kind of any—any available means necessary to push Columbia to divest from Israel.”

“And we’ve been working all this summer on our plans, on what’s next to pressure Columbia to listen to the students and to decide to be on the right side of history.”

Last year, Khalil reportedly served as an intern at UNRWA, a United Nations program tied to Palestinian terrorism, which the Trump administration recently stopped funding.

Mosab Abu Toha

Affiliation: Syracuse University

Role: Professor

Territory of Origin: Gaza

A month after the Oct. 7 attacks, Israeli officials detained and questioned Toha, a poet in Gaza, over ties to Hamas. Although he was released after a day, he claimed he was beaten and tortured.

In response to his unsubstantiated allegations, in November 2023, Syracuse bestowed Toha with a visiting faculty appointment through its “Scholars at Risk” program.

Since then, Toha has called for “boycotting Israeli cultural institutions and anyone coming from that part,” suggested the Oct. 7 attacks were Palestinians “retaliating” for Israel’s establishment in 1948, and denounced anyone who mentions Hamas’s mass slaughter of Israelis on Oct. 7.

“If one wants to talk about retaliating what happened on October 7, can we at the same time talk about retaliating [for] the massacres of 1948 [and] the ensuing mass exodus of 800,000 people?” he wrote in one X post.

In another post, he wrote: “If anyone mentions to you the words ‘October 7’ or ‘Hostages,’ spit the blood of Gaza kids in their faces.”

Toha confirmed his visa status in an August 2024 Instagram post, which included a poem he said he wrote “right after my visa interview at the American embassy in Jordan.”

The Betar spokesman homed in on Toha, calling him “the poster child of exactly who the Trump administration must immediately deport from America.”

“The Israeli military detained him for activities connected to terrorism shortly after the October 7th massacres, and a few weeks later an American university hired him and brought him to America,” he told the Free Beacon. “Since then, he incites against Jews and America calling for revolutions and regular anti-American and Anti-Israel activities.”

The schools mentioned above did not respond to requests for comment.

CBS Evening News Slinks to Evidence-Free Fearmongering on DOGE

February 11, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: INVESTIGATIONS, Newsbusters

So desperate are the media to discredit the work of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and by extension that of Elon Musk, that they are willing to resort to rank fear mongering. As Major Garrett’s report for the CBS Evening News proves, they also seem to believe that their viewers are morons.

The report opens both with a recap of the CBS poll showing President Donald Trump with a 53% approval rating, and a mewling objection (by John Dickerson of course) of the manner in which Trump is fulfilling his promises:

MAURICE DUBOIS: I’m Maurice Dubois. President Trump today began the fourth week of his second term, and in the new CBS news poll more than half of Americans, 53% approve of the job he is doing. And 70% of them, whether they agree with him or not, say he is doing exactly what he promised to do. That includes cutting spending.

JOHN DICKERSON: But how he’s doing it is another matter.

They’s like you to believe that this is about process. Yeah, right.

This ssets up Garrett’s report on DOGE with a spotlight on the Treasury’s Bureau of Fiscal Service, the bureau that processes outgoing payments. Garrett kicks off his report by implying that DOGE is nefariously hacking into sensitive systems (click “expand) to view transcript):

The former regime is going all out to protect itself from @DOGE scrutiny. Major Garrett’s report for the CBS Evening News opens by smearing DOGE with the language of spycraft: pic.twitter.com/6VARivr0l0
— Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) February 11, 2025

MAJOR GARRETT: Good Evening, Maurice and John. It’s called the Bureau of Fiscal Service and what they are looking for is what people in Washington have been looking for for decades: waste, fraud, and abuse. This quest is not new. The methods, however, are.

DONALD TRUMP: Come here, Elon!

GARRETT: President Trump has given the world’s richest man a temporary White House job and an ambitious order: audit the federal government agency by agency. Expose waste and fraud. And if you have to infiltrate sensitive government databases, do it.

Garrett’s subject matter expert, of course, is a former Biden Treasury apparatchik who pooh-poohs DOGE efforts:

Major Garrett’s subject matter expert on the workings of Treasury was the person “focused on narrowing the gap between the taxes owed by the American public and those collected by the Internal Revenue Service.” In other words, she was in charge of audits. pic.twitter.com/N0ctOGz82V
— Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) February 11, 2025

NATASHA SARIN: The way to think about the Bureau of Fiscal Service is almost like the Accounts Payable department for the federal government.

GARRETT: Natasha Sarin worked for the Treasury Department for two years during the Biden administration. The Bureau of Fiscal Service distributes about 1.3 billion payments annually. Things like Social Security checks, Medicaid reimbursements, and federal grants.

NATASHA SARIN: I think fraud, and fraud in the government is actually like a really worthwhile cause to try to combat. The challenge is that it has literally nothing to do with what the Bureau of Fiscal Service does and what this Treasury payments ecosystem is.

GARRETT: So if you’re on the hunt for that, you don’t go here.

SARIN: You certainly don’t- that doesn’t sit in the Bureau of Fiscal Service. That sits at the agencies.

Sarin has since landed at Yale, where she is President and Co-Founder of the Budget Lab. Her bio describes her work at Treasury as follows:

…(Sarin) served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy and later as a Counselor to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen at the United States Treasury Department, where her work focused on narrowing the gap between the taxes owed by the American public and those collected by the Internal Revenue Service.

To be crystal clear, this sure reads like Sarin was in charge of audits.

The interview consisted largely of deflecting as to Treasury’s role, and fearmongering over a hypothetical Elon Musk access to sensitive personal information. What’s he going to do, use it to take out a credit card?!

These guys are over here fearmongering about @elonmusk after they let China gain keystroke access to Treasury computers SMH pic.twitter.com/Sm672eeg6a
— Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) February 11, 2025

GARRETT: The Treasury Department has told Congress Musk’s associates cannot change any payments. That they have had so-called “read-only access” to the database. But those assurances have not been independently verified. There’s also a question about data security.

I file my taxes electronically. Does that put me inside the database of the Bureau of Fiscal Services?

SARIN: It sure does. And your bank account information- that’s how you get your refund electronically.

GARRETT: Not just who I am, where I live…

SARIN: How much you made, how much your refund is.

GARRETT: All of that is in there.

SARIN: Absolutely. The most private, sensitive data about American citizens all sits in the Bureau of Fiscal Service in the Treasury payments ecosystem.

We’re not two months removed from reporting about China hacking sensitive information at Treasury, but we’re supposed to believe Elon is a threat. That’s projection.

I’ll say again, much of the Ancién Regime Media’s fearmongering about data security concerns under DOGE depend on you forgetting that the Biden administration already let China run through Treasury. pic.twitter.com/r4x3u1D02m
— Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) February 11, 2025

GARRETT: Musk’s top Treasury deputy, a tech executive, had access until the weekend court ruling, accessing vast government databases by those not versed in federal data security could open systems to hacking.

SARIN: This is the most sensitive information about them that the federal government has historically held in the hands of very few career civil servants who are trained and experienced in how to deal with this data and these ecosystems. There are real security questions at play here.

The package portion of the report ends with Sarin suggesting that perhaps Trump voters don’t know what they voted for:

former Biden Treasury apparatchik all but calls Trump voters morons, suggests DOGE will ultimately make Americans less secure pic.twitter.com/YQ4mIJWvLd
— Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) February 11, 2025

GARRETT: There might be some who watch this conversation and say, “Look, I trust President Trump and he trusts Elon Musk. And I didn’t know anything about this agency and I don’t know anything about these civil servants. But I trust Trump and I trust Elon Musk. I’m okay with it.”

SARIN: Yeah?

GARRETT: What would you say to them?

SARIN: I don’t want to be hyperbolic and I understand and really respect the fact that democracies churn, and that the people voted and made Donald Trump the President of the United States for a second time. That said, I think we should all be wary and be concerned about the fact that some of the actions that might be taken are actions that make us less safe and less secure.

The desperation is such that they resort to open fear mongering about Musk’s intentions, and no evidence shown of any potential criminality or wrongdoing. There was only process innuendo pushed mostly by someone whose job it was to sic auditors on to taxpayers- an innuendo that depends on voters being morons.

Ultimately, the report falls flat, and stands as a slap in the face of the American people who voted for massive change to happen. Regardless of how the media may feel about the change.

Click “expand” to view the full transcript of the aforementioned report as aired on the CBS Evening News on Monday, February 10th, 2025:

JOHN DICKERSON: Good evening, I’m John Dickerson.

DICKERSON: But how he’s doing it is another matter. The president made Elon Musk a kind of Sheriff of DOGE, The Department of Government Efficiency, to downsize just about everything. Our poll found Americans evenly split over how much influence, if any, Elon Musk and DOGE should have over government operations and spending. And a federal judge has blocked their access to a Treasury bureau that, among other things, sends out government payments- including Social Security.

DUBOIS: So what is this little known bureau, and what is the Musk team looking for? Questions Major Garrett is about to answer. Major.

MAJOR GARRETT: Good Evening, Maurice and John. It’s called the Bureau of Fiscal Service and what they are looking for is what people in Washington have been looking for for decades: waste, fraud, and abuse. This quest is not new. The methods, however, are.

GARRETT: Security is one issue, transparency another. So far, The White House has not revealed who was doing this work, what they have found, what they plan to do with it.

DICKERSON: And Major, this work outside of the Bureau of Fiscal Service, where- what other kinds of departments might be getting this same treatment?

GARRETT: So you heard a reference that the real matter resides within each agency. So far, 16 agencies have been touched in one manner or another by those investigators under the DOGE umbrella. You can see some of the names there. FEMA, Department of Energy, Department of Labor, CDC, EPA. You don’t see there yet the Department of Education or the Department of Defense. President Trump has said they are next.

DUBOIS: Major, a big key here is The White House is claiming fraud and waste and abuse, have they actually proven that?

GARRETT: President Trump has said corruption, kickbacks, interestingly in one case-  U.S. Agency for International Development, a federal judge said, “Please. Bring me the evidence of this so I can understand why you believe it’s imperative to shut USAID down rapidly. The Department of Justice, Maurice, did not provide any evidence of kickbacks or corruption.

DICKERSON: Major, a question I get a lot from those people who- most of them didn’t vote for Donald Trump. It is: can he do this? Can Elon Musk do this?

GARRETT: The legal challenges are on two fronts. One, a 1974 Privacy Act law that says you cannot provide information about government payments to outsiders. This may be in violation of that. There’s also a 2002 cybersecurity law that says any outsider brought into the federal databases has to pass their own cybersecurity protocols. We have no information whether anyone from DOGE has passed those protocols.

DICKERSON: Major Garrett for us in Washington. Thank you, Major.

Another Biden holdover in the Executive Branch caught up in President Trump’s firing spree filed a lawsuit to get his job back – and a corrupt Obama judge sided with him.

As previously reported, President Trump fired Hampton Dellinger, Special Counsel of the Office of Special (not to be confused with a special counsel hired as a federal prosecutor) on Friday.

“On behalf of President Donald J. Trump, I am writing to inform you that your position as Special Counsel of the US Office of Special Counsel is terminated, effective immediately. Thank you for your service,” Sergio Gor, Director of the White House Presidential Office wrote to Hampton Dellinger, according to Politico.

The lawsuit and Temporary Restraining Order request was assigned to corrupt Obama judge Amy Berman Jackson.

Later Monday evening, Judge Amy Berman Jackson sided with Hampton Dellinger and issued an administrative stay and allowed him to keep his job.

“Trump must allow Dellinger to continue to have “access” to the agency’s resources and cannot “recognize the authority of any other person as Special Counsel” while the order remains in effect, Jackson wrote,” according to Politico.

“I am grateful to have the opportunity to continue leading the Office of Special Counsel and I am resuming my work tonight,” Dellinger said in a statement, Politico reported.

The Trump Justice Department immediately appealed Judge Jackson’s administrative stay.

Activist Obama Judges are waging a war on Trump and his ability to exercise full power over the executive branch.

Corrupt Obama Judge Paul Englemayer on Saturday issued an ex parte TRO forbidding all of Trump appointees, including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, from accessing Department of Treasury data.

Democrat Arizona AG Kris Mayes’ Alternate Trump Electors Case on Life Support After Judge Says Charges May Have Violated First Amendment

The Arizona alternate Trump electors case brought by Democrat Attorney General Kris Mayes started to crumble last year after a judge allowed the defendants to argue the charges are politically motivated.

During a hearing last year, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Bruce Cohen said he was open to listening to the defendants’ arguments to have the indictment thrown out under Arizona’s anti-SLAPP law, which was recently expanded by the legislature to cover vindictive politically motivated charges.

On Monday, Maricopa County Judge Sam Myers said the defendants successfully argued that the charges against them appear to have violated the state’s anti-SLAPP statute.

“Myers said that Arizona Democratic Attorney General Kris Mayes’ declaration when announcing the indictment that “this should never happen again” can be construed as assigning political motivation to the prosecution,” Courthouse News reported.

Arizona prosecutors have 45 days to respond to the judge’s finding and prove the charges were to enforce the law and not violate the First Amendment rights of the defendants.

Trump 2020 election lawyer John Eastman responded to the judge’s finding: Major ruling in the Arizona electors case this a.m. The new judge just ruled that I met the prima facie case required to dismiss under the anti-SLAPP statute — that is, 1st Amend. rights implicated, & substantial evid. that the prosecution was to retaliate or deter those rights.

“Just to clarify. The AG now has to prove that she wasn’t motivated by desire to retaliate or deter 1A rights. Their brief is due March 25. The judge also rejected the AG’s claim that the anti-SLAPP statute is unconstitutional,” John Eastman said.

Via Courthouse News:

Defendants in Arizona’s “fake elector” case are closer to winning motions to dismiss fraud and conspiracy charges stemming from an apparent attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, having shown that the charges brought against them seem intended to stifle First Amendment speech, a judge said Monday morning.

Maricopa County Judge Sam Myers said the 16 defendants demonstrated in their briefings that the charges in the April 2024 indictment appear on their face to attack what is “at least in part some arguably lawful speech,” violating Arizona’s anti-SLAPP law, which prevents legal action seeking to suppress free speech.

Myers said that Arizona Democratic Attorney General Kris Mayes’ declaration when announcing the indictment that “this should never happen again” can be construed as assigning political motivation to the prosecution.

In April Trump 2020 alternate electors, GOP state legislators, former Arizona GOP chairwoman Kelli Ward and others were indicted by a state grand jury in Arizona.

A total of 18 people involved in the Arizona alternate electors plan were indicted by the Arizona grand jury last year.

Trump lawyers Christina Bobb, Jenna Ellis, Rudy Giuliani and John Eastman were all charged with felonies.

President Trump was named “Unindicted Coconspirator-1” in the indictment because he made a phone call about the ballot counting to former governor Doug Ducey.

Arizona’s Democrat Attorney General Kris Mayes defended her witch hunt and the curious timing of the indictment – just months before the 2024 general election. Make no mistake, the charges were a warning shot to anyone who may have wanted to challenge the 2024 election.

“We conducted a thorough and professional investigation over the past 13 months into the fake electors scheme in our state,” Arizona’s Democrat Attorney General Kris Mayes said in a video announcing the charges. “I understand for some of you today didn’t come fast enough. And I know I’ll be criticized by others for conducting this investigation at all. But as I’ve stated before, and we’ll say here again, today, I will not allow American democracy to be undermined.”

All nine felony charges against former Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis, including fraud, forgery, and conspiracy, were previously dropped in a plea deal.

February 11, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: INVESTIGATIONS, The Blaze

Freedom of religion and expression forms the foundation of human dignity, yet authoritarian regimes continue to suppress these fundamental rights. Two of the world’s most oppressive governments, China’s Chinese Communist Party and Iran’s Islamic Republic, follow the same playbook — silencing anyone who challenges their ideological control. The persecution of Shen Yun and the Bahá’í community serves as chilling proof of this shared agenda.

Shen Yun, a globally acclaimed performing arts group, is dedicated to reviving traditional Chinese culture through music and dance. To most, this mission seems harmless — maybe even admirable. But not to the CCP. For the regime, Shen Yun represents defiance. The group celebrates China’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage, aspects the CCP has spent decades trying to erase. Worse still, Shen Yun dares to expose the CCP’s human rights abuses on the world stage.

We cannot allow regimes like China and Iran to decide who gets to exist, which cultures can flourish, and which beliefs are acceptable.

In response, the CCP has waged an aggressive campaign against the group. It spreads propaganda to discredit Shen Yun, sabotages performances worldwide, and launches relentless cyberattacks. Yet, despite lacking government funding or major corporate sponsorships, Shen Yun has defied all odds. It has become an underdog success story, standing strong against one of the most powerful regimes in the world.

This story resonates deeply with me because I have experienced firsthand what it means to live under a regime that fears freedom of thought. I was born into a Bahá’í family in Iran, where the Islamic Republic has waged a decades-long campaign of persecution against the Bahá’ís, the country’s largest non-Muslim religious minority. For the “crime” of practicing their faith, Bahá’ís have been imprisoned, tortured, executed, and systematically denied education and employment.

When I was 11, my family fled Iran, leaving behind our home, community, and everything familiar. We were not activists or threats to the state — we were ordinary people whose only “offense” was believing differently.

That persecution continues today. Just recently, Iranian authorities arrested 13 Bahá’ís, charging them with “proselytizing,” a vague and unfounded accusation the regime routinely uses to justify brutal crackdowns. The message from the government is clear: There is no room for diversity and no tolerance for beliefs that challenge its imposed ideology.

The hypocrisy of these regimes is staggering. The CCP has interned over one million Uyghur Muslims in concentration camps, subjecting them to forced labor, sterilization, and “re-education.” Yet its close ally, the Islamic Republic of Iran — which claims to defend Muslims worldwide — remains silent. This refusal to condemn China’s abuses exposes Iran’s duplicity, proving that its priority is not protecting Islam but consolidating power.

What unites the CCP and the Islamic Republic is their shared fear of cultural and spiritual diversity. Authoritarian regimes thrive on control — of minds, beliefs, and narratives. They target groups like Shen Yun and the Bahá’ís because these groups represent what tyrants fear most: the resilience of the human spirit.

Shen Yun’s performances celebrate the beauty and depth of Chinese civilization, a deeply spiritual heritage the CCP has spent decades trying to erase in its pursuit of ideological conformity. Likewise, the Bahá’í Faith, with its emphasis on unity and justice, challenges the Islamic Republic’s relentless suppression of any belief that could undermine its authority. In both cases, these regimes see cultural and spiritual expression as direct threats to their absolute control.

The stakes in these battles extend far beyond China and Iran. Freedom of religion and expression are universal values, and any erosion of these rights anywhere threatens them everywhere. When authoritarian regimes suppress dissent without consequence, they embolden others to do the same.

I do not write this as an outsider with abstract concerns. My life was uprooted by tyranny. I still remember the fear of living under a regime that hated my family for our beliefs. I will never forget the strength it took to flee that oppression and rebuild a life in freedom.

We cannot allow regimes like China and Iran to decide who gets to exist, which cultures can flourish, and which beliefs are acceptable. Their playbook relies on fear and control, but history has shown that these tactics ultimately fail in the face of courage and solidarity.

NewsBusters Podcast: Don’t Question Extremely Expensive Subscriptions!

February 11, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: INVESTIGATIONS, Newsbusters

The scandal that could be called “Subscription-gate” involves government agencies paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for a media service like “Politico Pro.” But Politico claims they’ve never taken government funds, like it doesn’t make “Politico Pro.” Come on, bro.

Elon Musk’s brigade upending the U.S. International Agency for Development has caused major freakouts in the national media, which can only lead the average conservative American to guess this was a story the Left never wanted to get out.

Joseph Vazquez found a deeply flawed “fact check” at The Dispatch titled  “Claims That Politico Received USAID Funds Are False.” Even the fact checker acknowledged government money was buying “an energy and environment publication it produces—totaling $44,000 over two years.”

Politico’s leaders issued a remarkably dishonest statement:

POLITICO is a privately owned company. We have never received any government funding — no subsidies, no grants, no handouts. Not one dime, ever, in 18 years.

They pretended their Politico Pro product came from an entirely different source: “POLITICO Pro is different. It is a professional subscription service used by companies, organizations, and, yes, some government agencies.”

Curtis Houck passed along that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs said Monday it cancelled $178,000 in swampy subscriptions for Politico Pro that can now be used to help the VA fulfill its mission of caring for servicemen and women.

The media’s war on Elon Musk and his DOGE patrol continued with NPR White House reporter Asma Khalid spreading the argument that “the richest man in the world” was taking a “hatchet” to the poor.

Mark Halperin Speechless Over What Trump is Getting Done in Second Term, Says This Will Dwarf the Reagan Revolution (VIDEO)

February 10, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: Gateway Pundit, INVESTIGATIONS

During an episode of his ‘2Way’ program this week, journalist Mark Halperin suggested that he is speechless over how Trump has been able to do so much already during his second term.

He compares Trump to a football player who suddenly finds himself with the ball and no one on the field who is able to tackle him as he runs for the end zone.

He goes so far as to suggest that Trump’s second term is going to make the Reagan Revolution look like a ‘joke’ compared to this and notes that the Democrats seem powerless to stop any of it.

From the Daily Caller/MSN:

Veteran journalist Mark Halperin said on his podcast Friday that he’s “baffled” at the seemingly ineffective efforts of President Donald Trump’s opponents to thwart his political agenda…

“I’m paid to not be baffled or speechless. That’s been my job. I’m baffled and somewhat speechless. I’ve been thinking in the last couple days. Is there anything in my career as a journalist that I’ve covered that I’d compare to this? And the answer is no,” Halperin said. “I’ve covered presidential campaigns, governments, Oklahoma City bombing, OJ Simpson trial. I’ve covered lots of big complex stories. I find this to be extraordinary and singular.”…

“And the theater of it and the personality and the historical narrative arc are all of course super compelling but what matters is the real lives of real people and the impact this is going to have on not just American government and the world, but American history,” Halperin said. “And I think on that score, based on the early returns here after a couple weeks, this turns the Reagan Revolution [into] a joke. It makes the notion that George W. Bush came into Washington [to] really shake things up. There’s no comparison, what they’re doing.”

There is a lot of truth to what Halperin is saying here. You can see it in the behavior of the Democrats every day. They are completely lost and have no idea how to counter any of the work Trump is doing. They’re simply screaming into the wind.
