INVESTIGATIONS

Dumping Cement Into Sewage System, Columbia University Radicals Deploy Tactics They Studied Months Earlier at Event Hosted By Campus Org

January 30, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: INVESTIGATIONS, Washington Free Beacon

Late Wednesday night, Columbia University’s leading anti-Israel group, Columbia University Apartheid Divest (CUAD), shared a video of its latest act of anarchy. At Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), toilets were clogged with cement. A Columbia Business School building, meanwhile, was soaked with red paint.

Columbia quickly released a statement calling the acts of vandalism “unacceptable and abhorrent,” adding that such acts “will not be tolerated at Columbia.” Just months before, however, Columbia’s student radicals met within the walls of a recognized student organization to train each other on all things anarchy. Included among the suggested readings was a manual written for “aspiring revolutionaries” that outlined the sewage cementing and graffiti soaking tactics used on Wednesday. And the student organization that played host appears to be in good standing with the school.

The apparently premeditated nature of the attack suggests Columbia could have impeded it by cracking down on the event’s attendees and its host, Alpha Delta Phi (ADP), a literary society. While the ADP house is controlled by an outside organization and technically off campus—it sits between several other houses and dorms that Columbia owns—Columbia recognizes ADP as a student organization, according to its website, and provides it with services like WiFi, Ph.D. student Alon Levin told the Washington Free Beacon.

It was at that house that some 100 students, led by CUAD, met in November at a two-day event titled, “Hind’s House,” a reference to the name anti-Israel activists applied to Hamilton Hall after its illegal takeover last spring. At the event, which was first reported by the Free Press, attendees commemorated that takeover and discussed anarchical tactics.

A PowerPoint presentation, for example, included a slide with suggested revolutionary readings. One recommended manual—a “Recipes for Disaster” tactical guide written by CrimethInc., an “international network of aspiring revolutionaries”—details methods to disable restroom facilities. One method, described as the “Permanent Solution,” uses hydraulic cement, pantyhose, zip ties, and an X-Acto knife.

The guide’s graffiti chapter, meanwhile, instructs readers how to vandalize property from a distance using a “super soaker” squirt gun or an “old-fashioned pressurized fire extinguisher.” A picture from the “Hind’s House” event shows a red can of spray paint and a small fire extinguisher sitting on a table. First-person video footage of the Columbia Business School vandalism, meanwhile, shows a perpetrator spraying red paint from a considerable distance.

Levin, an engineering student, attended the anarchist training event as a concerned observer. He described the similarities between the November training and Wednesday anarchy as “perfect.”

“The actions that we saw take place yesterday matched up perfectly with the instructions that were being offered as suggested reading at the CUAD Hind’s House event,” he said. But Columbia doesn’t appear to have taken action in response to the event. Though Levin and another student attendee filed a Title VI complaint noting the “terrorist propaganda and antisemitic tropes” displayed at “Hind’s House,” Columbia still lists ADP as an active student group and mostly deferred action to local law enforcement and ADP’s national leaders. Though it did launch an investigation, the probe remains open and does not appear to have led to suspensions.

“This event took place off campus in a house independently owned and operated by a group known to Columbia as the Association of Graduates of the Columbia Chapter of ADP,” a Columbia spokeswoman told the Free Beacon. “Upon learning of the event, the University notified law enforcement, the national Alpha Delta Phi Society leadership and a representative of the owner of the ADP house. We immediately launched an investigation which is ongoing.”

Columbia administrators detailed the Wednesday damage in a string of internal messages. One email, penned by SIPA dean Keren Yarhi-Milo, noted that toilets on the 4th, 6th, 14th, and 15th floors of the school’s building “were vandalized with a cement-like substance causing the toilets to clog” and touted “same day health, well-being, and counseling offices and resources” available to students. Chief Operating Officer Alexsandra Sanford later updated students to note that, as of this morning, all the facilities were repaired, according to a message obtained by the Free Beacon.

In a SIPA group chat of about 800 students, a vocal minority supported the damages, portraying it as non-violent opposition to an institution that supports Israeli “genocide,” according to a student in the chat.

“People that are saying anything criticizing this act are being [accused with questions], saying, ‘Oh, so you’re supporting the genocide?'” the student told the Free Beacon.

Esther Fuchs, a SIPA professor who co-chairs the Columbia Antisemitism Task Force condemned the vandalism. She told the Free Beacon that, in over 40 years of teaching, she has “never seen such disregard for the community that this kind of vandalism and hate represents.”

Levin said that while he’s unsure what will happen next, he believes “violence is possible.”

“They made it their goal to make life unbearable for everybody else until they get what they want, which is essentially the end of the Jewish state, right?” Levin said of Columbia’s student radicals. “It’s never going to happen, so we’re all gonna have to be miserable.”

Trump Signs Executive Order to Investigate and Undo “DEI and Woke Policies” Biden Imposed on FAA After Helicopter-Plane Collision (VIDEO)

President Trump on Thursday signed an Executive Order to investigate Joe Biden’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policies after a Blackhawk helicopter collided with an American Airlines plane near Reagan Airport on Wednesday evening.

67 people perished after a Blackhawk helicopter seemingly few right into an American Airlines plane.

A preliminary FAA report indicated that staffing at the DCA Air Traffic Control tower was “not normal” at the time of the helicopter-plane collision.

According to NBC News, at the time of the collision, one controller was overseeing both helicopter and airplane traffic.

Typically, one controller focuses on helicopter activity.

President Trump on Thursday morning blamed Biden and Obama’s DEI policies that lowered requirements for air traffic controllers.

Under Joe Biden, the FAA website was actually recruiting “people with severe disabilities” to work as air traffic controllers.

“A group within the FAA determined that the workforce was too white, then they had concerted efforts to get the administration to change that and to change it immediately,” Trump said after he blasted former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. “This was in the Obama administration.”

“We must have only the highest standards for those who work in our aviation system,” Trump said.

Trump’s new Executive Order mandates that only the most competent and qualified people are hired as air traffic controllers.

New Acting FAA administrator, Christopher Rocheleau and newly-confirmed Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy will be tasked with undoing Biden’s dangerous FAA DEI policies.

“We want the most competent people, no matter what race they are,” Trump said in the Oval Office on Thursday. “If they don’t have a great brain, a great power of the brain, they’re not going to be very good at what they do.”

VIDEO: Democrat stunned by Kash Patel’s brazen retort during nomination hearing

January 30, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: INVESTIGATIONS, The Blaze

Kash Patel, the nominee for director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, stunned one of his interlocutors during the nomination hearings on Thursday.

Patel was fending off barbs from Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota when he reminded her about how much time she had to question him. The video went viral on social media.

‘That’s a general statement and a mischaracterization of what I said.’

Klobuchar was trying to get Patel to respond to a comment from a podcast where he accused Capitol police of lying while testifying about what happened during the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. The senator implied that she didn’t have enough time to consider the entire transcript from the podcast.

“That’s a general statement and a mischaracterization of what I said,” Patel responded. “I encourage you to read the rest of the interview. This is why snippets of information are often misleading and detrimental to this committee’s advice and consent process.”

“Well, if you consent, I would love to have five hours of questions, and then I could read the whole transcript,” Klobuchar said.

“You’ve got two minutes,” Patel retorted.

“Wow,” she replied.

The video clip of Klobuchar’s reaction was posted to social media, where many applauded Patel’s combativeness.

— (@)

Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee dredged up numerous comments and statements from Patel’s past to try to prove that he is unqualified to run the FBI. Klobuchar pressed Patel on a meme he posted that celebrated the idea of shutting down the FBI altogether.

“If the best attacks on me are gonna be false accusations and grotesque mischaracterizations, the only thing this body is doing is defeating the credibility of the men and women at the FBI,” he responded.

“I am quoting his own words from September of 2024. It is his own words. It is not some conspiracy,” she responded. “Facts matter.”

5 WILD moments from RFK Jr.’s Senate hearing that you NEED to see

January 30, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: INVESTIGATIONS, The Blaze

Yesterday, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who will hopefully head the Department of Health and Human Services, sat before the Senate Finance Committee for his highly anticipated hearing.

As expected, things got intense over the session that lasted several hours.

Liz Wheeler, however, has boiled down the long list of heated exchanges into a handful of the wildest moments that everyone should see. Before she gives her list, however, there are two things everyone should know, she says.

One: “The United States Senate is the most intolerable place on Earth. It is filled to the brim with self-centered, elitist snobs who only want to hear the sound of their own voices.”

Two: “Every senator in the United States Senate is bought off by Big Pharma, bought off by Big Food lobbyists.”

That said, here are Liz’s top moments from Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Senate confirmation hearing.

1. Samoa / measles false narrative

Senator Wyden (D-Ore.) accused Kennedy of causing the deaths of dozens of children in Samoa. According to his phony narrative, parents stopped giving their children the measles vaccine because of Kennedy’s vaccine fearmongering, and children died as a result — an egregious lie.

The truth, which Kennedy attempted to explain through constant interruptions, is that after a handful of Samoan children died after taking the MMR vaccine, the Samoan government banned it. This happened before Kennedy ever arrived in the country, and when he did arrive, he came to “introduce a medical informatics system that would digitalize records.” His presence had nothing to do with vaccines. Further, of the 83 Samoans who died, the majority did not have measles, according to postmortem tissue sample analyses.

“You cannot find a single Samoan who will say I didn’t get a vaccine because of Bobby Kennedy,” he declared in the hearing.

Kennedy went on to assure the panel that he does indeed support the measles vaccine and will do nothing as HHS secretary to prevent or discourage people from taking it, but Sen. Wyden continued to interrupt him, dismiss his statements, and insist that he is a liar.

“[Senator Wyden] is not interested in the truth; he’s interested in trying to slander RFK Jr.,” says Liz.

2. “The profile of someone who chases money”

Crazy moment No. 2 also belongs to Senator Wyden.

He stated, “Mr. Kennedy has embraced conspiracy theories, quacks, charlatans, especially when it comes to the safety and efficacy of vaccines. He has made it his life’s work to sow doubt and discourage parents from getting their kids lifesaving vaccines. It has been lucrative for him and put him on the verge of immense power. This is the profile of someone who chases money and influence wherever they lead, even if that may mean the tragic deaths of children and other vulnerable people.”

“I think Wyden was looking in the mirror and reading his own bio, because if you look at the campaign donations to Senator Ron Wyden, he has received over $1.5 million from the health care industry,” says Liz. “Who do you think he represents?”

3. Kennedy gives abortion stance

Liz argues that Kennedy was grilled repeatedly about his stance on abortion
not because any of the senators actually care about his views but rather because he “hitched his wagon to Trump” and “MAGA married MAHA.”

Even so, Kennedy’s statement on abortion was “an interesting answer,” she says.

“I agree with President Trump that every abortion is a tragedy; I agree with him that we cannot be a moral nation if we have 1.2 million abortions a year; I agree with him that the states should control abortion. President Trump has told me that he wants to end late-term abortions, and he wants to protect conscious exemptions, and that he wants to end federal funding for abortions. … I serve at the pleasure of the president. I’m going to implement his policies,” he said.

“That seems to me a very reasoned response, a very logical response, a very calm response, and what does he get in return? He gets the craziest person in the United States Senate,” says Liz, bringing us to the fourth craziest moment.

4. Sen. Elizabeth Warren “shrieking her head off”

When Sen. Warren (D-Mass.) tried to trap Kennedy into vowing not to sue vaccine companies, he pushed back, which resulted in her yelling like an angry child.

“No, I am not!” she screamed at him when he called her out.

“Elizabeth Warren styles herself as being anti-big-corporation, anti-billionaire, and yet who is she defending sitting here on the Senate Finance Committee? She’s defending Big Pharma,” says Liz, who can’t help but laugh at her temper tantrum.

5. “Our ship is sinking”

“You keep citing the Trump administration and you’re just going to follow what they say. Is that what you’re doing? You’re just a rubber stamp?” said Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.). “How do you live with that?”

“President Trump has asked me to end the chronic disease epidemic and make America healthy again,” was Kennedy’s tasteful and honest reply.

Masto then pressed, “Is that the only reason why then you’re at the HHS?”

Liz translates her inquiry — “That’s the only thing that you’re going there for? … Not any of my interests? Not the interests of my lobbyists? Just your family and your children and your health?”

Kennedy’s response, however, was superb.

“President Trump has asked me because I’m in a unique position to end that, and that is what I’m doing. And if we don’t solve that problem, Senator, all of the other disputes we have about who’s paying and whether it’s insurance companies, whether it’s providers, whether it’s HMOs, whether it’s patients or families — all of those are moving deck chairs around in the Titanic. Our ship is sinking,” he said, before reminding her that America, even at 4% of the global population, has the highest chronic disease rate in the world.

A “profound response,” praises Liz.

“This hearing has exposed the swamp,” she says. The senators who vote no are “voting in favor of autism and ADHD and childhood obesity and childhood diabetes and autoimmune disorders and cancer and infertility and mental health [crises].”

NBC Reporters Suggest Trump, Hegseth Ruined Plane Crash Investigation

January 30, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: INVESTIGATIONS, Newsbusters

Just minutes after news broke of the tragic mid-air collision between a commercial airliner and an Army Blackhawk, members of the liberal media rushed to politicize the accident by blaming President Trump and his cuts to federal diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs (including at the FAA). And when Trump spoke out in his defense during a Thursday press conference and floated the idea that DEI programs might have played a role, two NBC News reporters were up in arms and insisted Trump, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had ruined the investigation.

Amid his update on the recovery process underway in the Potomac River, NBC aviation correspondent Tom Costello complained that Trump had gone against how the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) goes about announcing updates and conducting investigations:

And what struck me about this entire press conference – hinting that somehow, the controller might be responsible, that somehow DEI might be responsible, really runs contrary to the NTSB’s modus operandi here, in which, literally, they tell every party to the investigation, you are not allowed to speculate, not allowed to go public, not allowed to talk about this case, as we are investigating the facts, and gathering the data and the facts so that we can do a very precise, analytical, review of what, probably, caused this crash.

And I think air traffic controllers nationwide may be a little concerned about those comments suggesting that there was fault in the tower when we simply don’t know. And also, that there might have been fault in the cockpit of the Blackhawk. We simply don’t know. They still are in the recovery phase of bringing the bodies out of the river.

Costello went further and suggested Trump had seriously damaged the investigation. “[The NTSB is] an independent investigative body for that very reason, so that they can act, hopefully, without any political influence whatsoever and come to the facts,” he said. “And- I just wonder whether their jobs might have just gotten a little bit more difficult based on that news conference.”

Next up was the near hysterics of national security correspondent Courtney Kube, who showed that NBC wasn’t even on the same page about which way Trump was supposedly putting his thumb on the investigation’s scale.

While Costello was saying Trump was against the air traffic control tower, Kube insisted: “President Trump and Secretary Hegseth, they did not beat around the bush in laying blame on the helicopter for this- this- collision, saying that they were at the wrong altitude, President Trump saying at one point that they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

Kube then seemed to accuse both Trump and Hegseth of committing a very serious crime of “undue command influence”:

There is a military and army component to this investigation. There could be a very real claim of undue command influence based off numerous comments that were just made, in that press conference, and how that undue command influence could- by both the president and the Secretary of Defense could directly impact the investigation into this tragic incident- this tragic accident, Hallie.

Despite the fact that the names of the soldiers were not shared publicly, Kube shrieked about how they supposedly broke the “very sacrosanct” rule not to publicly provide personal information of “someone who has been killed in uniform until 24 hours after all of their next of kin have been notified.”

“I have got to tell you- years of covering this building and covering the military, that is a policy that I have never seen violated in any way,” she clutched her pearls.

She eventually admitted “he did not provide the names,” but she still tried to have her cake and eat it too: “but even just putting the ranks out, of the individuals there, that’s a- a real departure from what we usually hear, in situations like this.”

[ON-SCREEN HEADLINE: 67 PEOPLE PRESUMED DEAD AFTER DC PLANE CRASH]

TOM COSTELLO: And what struck me about this entire press conference – hinting that somehow, the controller might be responsible, that somehow DEI might be responsible, really runs contrary to the NTSB’s modus operandi here, in which, literally, they tell every party to the investigation, you are not allowed to speculate, not allowed to go public, not allowed to talk about this case, as we are investigating the facts, and gathering the data and the facts so that we can do a very precise, analytical, review of what, probably, caused this crash.

This is a – an investigation, like most NTSB investigations, they will last about a year. The NTSB is set up as an independent investigative body. They are not governed by the DoT; they are not governed by the – by the FAA. They are an independent investigative body for that very reason, so that they can act, hopefully, without any political influence whatsoever and come to the facts.

And- I just wonder whether their jobs might have just gotten a little bit more difficult based on that news conference.

HALLIE JACKSON: Tom Costello, stand by for us while we bring in our Pentagon correspondent, Courtney Kube.

Because you heard Tom mention it, Court, you heard the President mention it, from the briefing-room microphone there. This suggestion that there was perhaps a pilot problem inside the cockpit of that Blackhawk helicopter. You also heard from the new secretary of defense, Pete Hegseth, who talked about the individuals who were in the helicopter. Did not mention names specifically. What else are you learning from your vantage point?

COURTNEY KUBE: Yeah, I gotta say, Hallie, there were so many stunning moments in that, based off of when we have seen a tragedy in the past, how we hear an administration talk about it.

So let’s start with what Tom was just talking about, and that is- the fact that the- President Trump and Secretary Hegseth, they did not beat around the bush in laying blame on the helicopter for this- this- collision, saying that they were at the wrong altitude, President Trump saying at one point that they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Um, and- and just beyond Tom-  What Tom was explaining about the NTSB and the civilian component of this, let’s not forget, President Donald Trump is the commander-in-chief of the United States armed forces. There is a military and army component to this investigation. There could be a very real claim of undue command influence based off numerous comments that were just made, in that press conference, and how that undue command influence could- by both the president and the Secretary of Defense could directly impact the investigation into this tragic incident- this tragic accident, Hallie.

A couple other things that really stood out to me, number one, President Trump saying that it was a pilot problem, from the standpoint of the helicopter. Again, it- that is- we normally, when there is any kind of an aviation accident, we- we hear the phrase over and over as reporters: “it’s under investigation. We’re not going to get out ahead of the investigation.”  Saying something that clear was really staggering to me, Hallie.

And then Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, coming out and saying the ranks of the individuals who were killed in this crash. Again, one thing that has been very sacrosanct, when it comes to service members being killed in the line of duty, no matter the circumstance, no matter the situation- there is a policy here in the Pentagon that is adhered to by the letter, by the services. And that is, you do not provide information about someone who has been killed in uniform until 24 hours after all of their next of kin have been notified. Hallie, I have got to tell you- years of covering this building and covering the military, that is a policy that I have never seen violated in any way.

Now, he did not provide the names, but even just putting the ranks out, of the individuals there, that’s a- a real departure from what we usually hear, in situations like this.

WHO WAS PRESIDENT? WashPost Tries Blaming Trump for GDP Growth Slowing in Q4 of 2024

January 30, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: INVESTIGATIONS, Newsbusters

Wow, that was quick. The Washington Post has already taken to blaming President Donald Trump for America’s economic woes, except the new data they’re using as the basis of their argument reflected the disastrous Biden economy, not Trump’s.

GDP growth slowed in the fourth quarter of 2024 to 2.3 percent, which was noticeably slower than expected and put a dent into a lot of the media brouhaha surrounding how turbo-tastic Bidenomics supposedly was. But Post economic reporter Abha Bhattarai, desperate to spin this as somehow Trump’s fault, blamed the quirk on the economy getting the heebie-jeebies over his policies, before he even took office: “U.S. economy slowed at the end of 2024 as households and businesses braced for new tariffs.”

Now — and stay with us here — The Post was perhaps too caught up in its latest bout with Trump Derangement Syndrome that it didn’t realize that Q4 covered the period between October-December, which means the reading included data before anyone even knew Trump was going to win the 2024 elections.

But Bhattarai, trapped in oblivion, spun the story as the consequence of fears over Biden’s, er, glorious economic legacy being potentially ripped to shreds by Trump’s policies:

While the economy has been incredibly resilient, even in the face of elevated interest rates, it faces a new round of uncertainties that could hobble growth this year. The Trump administration has moved quickly to freeze federal hiring and curb immigration. It has also said it plans to issue sweeping new tariffs on some of the country’s largest trade partners, which could happen as early as this weekend. Economists say all of those measures are likely to cut into economic growth and create new hurdles for businesses and households.

Of course, Bhattarai had no problem singing the praises of a still slowing economy in October 2024 after third quarter GDP data was released when she twisted that story as an “expansion” of a “bustling” Biden economy. Despite growth also moderating in the third quarter to 2.8 percent from 3 percent the prior quarter, Bhattarai was adamant at that time that the data offered a “snapshot of an economy that’s been able to withstand policy swings and political uncertainty.”

So after Trump was elected, the aforementioned “snapshot of an economy that’s been able to withstand policy swings and political uncertainty” no longer applies, right Bhattarai?

Apparently so. Bhattarai turned to Zonda Chief Economist Ali Wolf, who bleated to her that “‘There’s no shortage of wild cards to watch in 2025.’” He continued: “‘The policies implemented by the incoming administration could have a profound impact on the economy.’”

Here’s the problem: From October to Jan. 20, Biden was still in office and his extreme regulatory and spending policies were still in effect, which means that none of Trump’s policies were implemented during that period.

That’s not even enough time for Trump’s team to pass gas before they sit down in their new office chairs.

What appeared nowhere in Bhattarai’s report was that in conjunction with consumer spending, Fox Business noted that the latest GDP readings were also a result of “government spending.”  In fact, the word “debt” doesn’t even appear once. If she did concede that factoid and uncercut herself, she would open up a can of worms. Much of the GDP growth she celebrated under Biden was a direct result of a debt bomb courtesy of his administration’s obsession with spendaholic monkey business, essentially pumping the economy into a sugar high. In fact, government debt represents a stupid 123 percent of GDP.

Even New York Times Chief White House Correspondent Peter Baker, conceded in a piece lecturing voters on the virtues of Bidenomics that the national debt now “represents a larger share of the economy than it has in generations, other than during the pandemic itself.”

Did Bhattaria bother to note any of this $36,000,000,000,000 context? Nada. Zip. Zilch.

Tulsi Gabbard Walks Back Foreign Surveillance Criticism But Defends Snowden in Testy Confirmation Hearing

January 30, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: INVESTIGATIONS, Washington Free Beacon

Tulsi Gabbard, President Donald Trump’s intelligence director nominee, walked back some of her past defenses of foreign adversaries and criticism of U.S. government surveillance but repeatedly refused to call CIA leaker Edward Snowden a “traitor” in a combative confirmation hearing on Thursday.

Gabbard, a former Democratic congresswoman who became a Trump ally in recent years, defended her loyalty to the United States and her military background and vowed that she would speak “truth to power” during her Senate Intelligence Committee hearing.

But she also struggled to address ongoing concerns from lawmakers in both parties about her long-stated opposition to warrantless surveillance of foreign targets, her lobbying to pardon Snowden, and her defense of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.

Gabbard also repeatedly refused to say if Snowden was a “traitor,” leading one Republican, Sen. Todd Young (Ind.), to read the word’s definition from the dictionary.

“Did he betray the trust of the American people? Which is, according to Merriam-Webster, that’s the definition of a traitor,” said Young.

Gabbard responded that Snowden “broke the law, and he released this information in a way that he should not have. He also acknowledged and exposed information that was unconstitutional, which drove a lot of the reforms that this body has made over the years.”

Her answer led to a testy exchange with Sen. Michael Bennet (D., Colo.).

“This is when the rubber hits the road,” said Bennet. “This is when you need to answer the questions of the people whose votes you’re asking for. … Is Edward Snowden a traitor to the United States of America? That’s not a hard question to answer.”

The hearing comes amid uncertainty over Gabbard’s path to Senate approval, as she has struggled to win over some GOP lawmakers skeptical of her foreign policy record.

Gabbard will need every Republican vote on the Senate Intelligence Committee in order for her nomination to move forward. While she has the backing of committee chairman Tom Cotton (R., Ark.), at least two members, Sen. Susan Collins (R., Maine) and Young, have reportedly raised doubts about her confirmation.

Young indicated that he wasn’t fully satisfied by Gabbard’s response on Snowden.

“I think it would befit you, and be helpful to the first way you are perceived by members of the intelligence community if you would at least acknowledge” that Snowden “harmed national security,” said Young.

Sen. Mark Kelly (D., Ariz.) also questioned Gabbard for expressing skepticism, as recently as this month, that Assad used chemical weapons in an attack in Douma, Syria, in 2018, a fact that intelligence assessments issued during Trump’s first administration confirmed. Gabbard said she relied on counter-research from an MIT professor, who Kelly noted had relied on research from an Assad sympathizer.

“What I have seen makes it clear that at the same time that you were skeptical of our intelligence community’s assessments, you would not apply the same skepticism to information that came from sympathizers of Russia and Assad, and I think that’s something that we should all be concerned about,” said Kelly.

Several senators also expressed concerns about Gabbard’s opposition to a U.S. program that allows warrantless wiretapping of foreign targets. Prior to the hearing, for example, Collins said she was concerned about Gabbard’s attempts in Congress to quash that program. Gabbard said she has come to view the program as a national security tool and would not oppose its continuation.

The public hearing will be followed by another closed-door committee hearing with Gabbard, where senators can address classified information.

If Gabbard can’t win committee approval, there may still be a chance for the Trump administration to move her bid forward. Cotton can send her nomination to the floor for a full Senate vote without a recommendation from the Senate Intelligence Committee. But Republican leaders said they hope to avoid that route, which could highlight internal party divisions.

Gabbard left the Democratic Party in 2022, claiming it was “now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness.” She was a prominent surrogate for the Trump campaign in the 2024 election.

There is an immediate call to action for those who WANT TO MAKE AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN!

Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) is seen as a pivotal vote on Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nomination. Cassidy is the chair of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee, and the Committee is likely to vote tomorrow if they will advance President Trump’s pick to lead Health and Human Services to the full Senate for a vote.

Without Cassidy’s vote, Kennedy likely cannot advance to help us all avoid deadly POISONS.

Please call Senator Bill Cassidy NOW and leave a message at (202) 224-5824. See other Senators to all below.

Call Senator Cassidy and the other Senators on the Committee to kindly encourage them to vote YES for the future of America’s children. President Trump was given a mandate by the American People to Make America Great AND Healthy Again. The Senate must not defy the will of the people.
