A town hall meeting in Illinois went south after an attendee insulted the Democratic mayor.

According to local media reports, the fighting broke out after a community activist insulted Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard.

“You gone, bitch,” he is reported to have said.

At this point, Henyard’s boyfriend is reported to have confronted the activist, Jedidiah Brown, leading to a phsyical altercation.

Upon seeing that her boyfriend had gotten involved, Henyard then pushed her table aside and ran to the back of the room in order to join the fisticuffs.

Police were soon called to the scene. It has not yet been confirmed whether any arrests were made.

The unseemly incident took place days after former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot released a report accusing Henyard of financial misconduct.

Lightfoot said in a statement:

The report details consistent mismanagement of Village finances through excessive spending on non-essential goods and services, systematic attempts by Mayor Henyard and others at her direction to hide the true financial condition of the Village from the Board of Trustees and the public, as well as other efforts to thwart efforts aimed at transparency as mandated under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”).

The report establishes the absence of competent governance and continued violations of governance norms during Mayor Henyard’s tenure.

The costs to taxpayers have been significant, starting with a substantial budget deficit, higher costs for basic necessities like liability insurance, and many lawsuits against the Village directly related to allegations of misconduct by Henyard and others.

Last year, The New York Post reported that Henyard, who was nicknamed the “Dolton Dictator,” spent over $43,000 in Amazon purchases one day, all while the town’s finances were facing significant difficulties.

Their report stated:

The shocking figures include Amazon purchases of $33,005, $4,715 and $5,609 on Jan. 5, 2023. More than $12,000 combined was spent at Best Buy, Target, Walgreens, Wayfair and Giftly.com between May 2023 and December 2023, based on the information Lightfoot has obtained so far.

Village credit cards were also used to fund trips for multiple people to Washington, DC, Austin, Texas, New York City, Atlanta and Las Vegas, as well as a few other spots, the report states.

In short, another Democratic official has been caught with their hand in the cookie jar. It is not the first time that his has happened and it certainly won’t be the last.

Kimmel Tries and Fails To Dunk On Trump’s Missile Defense Plan

January 29, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: INVESTIGATIONS, Newsbusters

During his Tuesday show, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel tried to mock President Trump’s recent executive order regarding the creation of an “Iron Dome”-like missile defense system by claiming Trump has no idea what he is talking about. However, it was Kimmel who showed his ignorance not just on missile defense but also in insisting that viewers take the scientists at the Doomsday Clock seriously when they recently argued the world is closer to midnight than ever before.

Kimmel began, “But during the campaign, Trump promised to build an impenetrable dome around the country. Similar to the one he tries to hide with Aquanet and Propecia every day. Trump signed an executive order to create an Iron Dome to protect us from ballistic and hypersonic missiles and other missiles that Trump learned about half-watching Top Gun on his plane last year.”

It’s not officially a GOP missile defense plan until someone makes a dismissive comment about Star Wars, and Kimmel did just that, “But, he’s been in office for a week, Jabba the Pizza Hut is already building a Death Star. A dome like that makes sense for a country like Israel, which is surrounded by enemies. It doesn’t make sense for the United States, which is surrounded by Canada and Mexico. Of course, the way Trump’s been going, Canada and Mexico may start firing missiles at us, we don’t know.”

Kimmel isn’t completely wrong, just not for the reasons he thinks. “Iron Dome for America” is a misnomer. The real Iron Dome is a defensive system for short-range rockets and mortars. The U.S. has an equivalent, but it has the hideously boring title of Indirect Fire Protection Capability Increment 2. For Trump, calling for an “Iron Dome for America” is just a spiffier, shorthanded way to discuss missile defense and convince the public that investment in such a project is worthwhile because people who know how missiles work that Russian, Chinese, and North Korean missiles have ranges that can reach the U.S.

Missile defense wasn’t the only subject where Kimmel showed his ignorance. Next, he added, “There’s a lot of unrest as Trump cozies up to these dictators and threatens our friends, and as a result, the annual reading of what they call the Doomsday Clock has us closer to the end of the world than ever before.”

In a clip, physicist Daniel Holz was shown declaring, “We thus move the clock forward. It is now 89 seconds to midnight. This is the closest the world has ever been to midnight.”

If you truly believe that the world is closer to midnight today than it was at the Cuban Missile Crisis or any other point during the Cold War, you don’t deserve to be taken seriously.

Here is a transcript for the January 28 show:

Billionaire Philanthropist Nicole Shanahan Puts Senate on Notice — Vote to Confirm RFK Jr. or I Will ‘Personally Fund’ Primary Challenges (VIDEO)

The billionaire philanthropist Nicole Shanahan has put the Senate on notice.

Shanahan, who was Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential running mate until he dropped out of the race and endorsed Donald Trump, has urged Senators to vote to confirm him or risk facing a well-funded primary challenge.

She explained:

“Hey everyone, tomorrow is a pivotal moment in our nation’s history. At 10 a.m eastern time, RFK will sit in front of the Senate Finance Committee for his confirmation hearing to be our nation’s next Secretary of Health and Human Services.

I urge everyone to call their U.S. Senators over the following days and demand they vote yes on Bobby’s nomination. He is more than qualified, he’s proven, principled, and prepared to lead. I’ll list, I’ll share a list below of key Senators. If they represent your state, they need to hear from you.

If they don’t, please call your own Senator and ask them to vote yes. We need as many votes as we can get. So this hasn’t been widely reported, but in 2020, I cut large checks to Chuck Schumer to help Democrats flip two Senate seats in Georgia from red to blue.

The two candidates I helped elect, Senator Raphael Warnock and Senator Jon Ossoff, please know I will be watching your votes very closely. I will make it my personal mission that you lose your seats in the Senate if you vote against the future health of America’s children.

And more than that, I also want to say to Senators Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, Bill Cassidy, Tom Tillis, James Lankford, Cory Booker, John Fetterman, Bernie Sanders, and Catherine Cortez Masto, this is a bipartisan message and it comes directly from me.

While Bobby may be willing to play nice, I won’t. If you vote against him, I will personally fund challengers to primary you in your next election and I will enlist hundreds of thousands to join me. Big Pharma and Big Ag have exploited us for far too long.

It ends now. You’re either on the side of transparency and accountability or you are standing in the way. The choice is yours.

Please choose wisely.”

A longtime Democrat and Silicon Valley lawyer, Shanahan’s financial muscle is the consequence of her marriage to Google founder Sergey Brin.

According to The New York Times, Shanahan has a net worth of over $1 billion as a result of their divorce proceedings.

In 2018, Shanahan and Brin gave birth to a daughter, who has since been diagnosed with autism.

This, coupled with the crimes committed during the coronavirus pandemic and her closeness to RFK Jr., is said to have shifted her worldview towards the Trump movement.

WaPo’s Upside Down: Censorship Is Speech & Defending Speech Is Censorship

January 29, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: INVESTIGATIONS, Newsbusters

A writer at billionaire Jeff Bezos’s The Washington Post had an unusual response to President Donald Trump’s executive order on censorship: Won’t anyone think of the censors?

The Post once again perfectly turned a situation on its head by arguing that censorship is free speech and efforts to curtail the silencing of speech are true censorship. In a Jan. 22 article, The Post outrageously condemned President Donald Trump and Rep. Jim Jordan’s (R-OH) efforts to fight censorship on social media and downplayed government efforts to make social media companies censor. The Post partially accomplished this by repeatedly citing a litigation director at the misleadingly named Knight First Amendment Institute, Alex Abdo, who aggressively defended Big Tech’s right to censor.

Exclusive: Indiana Police Refuse FOIA Request for Video Evidence in Shooting of January 6th Patriot by Sheriff’s Deputy

January 29, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: Gateway Pundit, INVESTIGATIONS

As reported earlier, a J6 political prisoner pardoned by Trump was killed by an Indiana police officer over the weekend.

FOX 32 Chicago reported at 4:15 p.m. local time Sunday that 42-year-old Matthew W. Huttle of Hobart, Indiana, was stopped by a Jasper County sheriff’s deputy during a traffic stop near the Pulaski County line.  Police say the deputy attempted to arrest Huttle after stopping him, but the civilian resisted.

The officer responded by firing his weapon and killing Huttle following a supposed fight.

Investigative journalist Yehuda Miller and The Gateway Pundit reached out to Jasper County Sheriff Williamson following the news of the deadly shooting. We FOIAed video of the incident from the police cameras.

Sheriff Williamson told us that because this was an open investigation, he would not release the footage!

The video will only be released when the investigation is completed.

“This is an open investigation by the Indiana State Police. In the near future when this investigation has been completed, we will provide video footage via our Jasper County Sheriff Website for you to view,” Sheriff Williamson told Miller.

Huttle was one of the over 1,500 political prisoners persecuted by the Biden regime for daring to protest the results of the 2020 Presidential election inside the Capitol. He was arrested in Boise, Idaho on November 28, 2022.

(Credit: Court document)

Federal authorities charged Huttle with multiple misdemeanor offenses for recording his entry into the Capitol’s Senate Wing and walking through several locations inside.

Matthew Huttle’s crime was WALKING through the US Capitol on January 6.

Huttle is what Democrats and the mainstream media call an insurrectionist.

The Northwest Indiana Times reported Huttle was sentenced to six months in federal prison before he was released on July 17.

Jasper County Indiana Sheriff Patrick Williamson released the following statement following the tragic incident:

“For full transparency, I requested the Indiana State Police to investigate this officer-involved shooting. The officer that is involved has been placed on paid administrative leave, which is standard protocol and is our policy in these situations.

“Our condolences go out to the family of the deceased as any loss of life is traumatic to those that were close to Mr. Huttle. I will release the officer’s name once I have approval from the State Police Detectives.”

Trump’s ‘revolution’ could forever change how DC runs

January 29, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: INVESTIGATIONS, The Blaze

Republicans, as a rule, are fond of tinkering around the edges. Once elected, they stand athwart history yelling “slow down a little.” They prefer to putter around the White House adding window dressing to Democrat-led decline. They fret about norms, civility, and other sweet nothings, while their political enemies ignore these niceties completely. The result? Each time “the pendulum swings back” (as Republican faithful are fond of predicting), it swings less and less to the right — and farther and farther to the left.

Not this time. President Donald Trump’s remaking of the federal government isn’t just softening the palette; it’s a full-blown color revolution in how the federal government operates — and if successful, it will change everything.

Trump’s shock-and-awe reforms are breaking all the rules that have previously kept Republicans confined to controlled-opposition status.

To catch a glimpse of what’s happening, just check out some of the D.C. political publications. Washington’s morning newsletters are, as a class, dreadful reads. Filled with lazy groupthink, dumb analysis, Democrat/GOP leadership talking points, and “wonky” personality, they’re the kind of thing I must lash myself through for my daily news-gathering.

Tuesday’s were an exception. They were beautiful.

Tuesday’s Playbook began with the president’s order to end the massive taxpayer funding of the Democrats’ non-governmental organization universe — a sprawling, ideological, and lawsuit-happy army of nonprofits dedicated to tormenting Republicans and pursuing liberal goals.

There is no reason on earth why Republicans in the House, Senate, or White House should have continued sending billions of dollars to anti-energy green groups, pro-illegal-immigration groups, pro-abortion groups, and other Democrat-aligned activists and lawyers. But year after year, they have. No longer.

After fretting about the wide-ranging impact of the order, Playbook got to how it was executed by the acting director of the Office of Management and Budget. That’s because Russ Vought — one of the president’s most experienced and effective nominees — hasn’t even been confirmed to the post yet. In short: Get ready for more to come.

Then, taking “a step back,” the newsletter looked elsewhere in government. The president, it mentions, has fired “more than a dozen” Department of Justice prosecutors behind the department’s four years of lawfare, while their allies quit in frightened desperation. “People are just in a state of shock and devastated,” moaned one sad case who’d thought consequences were for everyone but him.

It’s not surprising this nameless apparatchik was so shocked. This isn’t how it’s supposed to work in Washington, where Democrats play for keeps, Republicans talk big, and around and around we go, with Democrats stacking up gains and no one actually held to account.

Then we got to the U.S. Agency for International Development, a storied font of globalist largesse, charged with funneling Americans’ money to other countries and their liberal projects. The White House paused the faucet over there until the projects can be reviewed and put 60 senior staff on leave.

USAID acting Administrator Jason Gray said the staffers were put on leave for undermining the president. While that might seem standard, it’s important to stress just how rare that kind of quick and decisive action is. For context, recall the first months of 2017, when Trump 45 was plagued with a self-styled “Resistance” inside his own government. What a change.

“And there’s still more,” Playbook writes, including the firing of 17 inspectors general, big changes throughout the floundering Secret Service, and work to increase the federal government’s ability to fire its own employees when needed.

But it’s still not over! Next came coverage of the president’s executive order walking back transgender individuals from serving in the armed forces. It’s strange that it’s so controversial to say no to men suffering from a condition that makes them want to be women (and need surgery to get there) on the front lines or commanding troops in the field, but it is. Fortunately, this White House doesn’t mind courting that controversy.

Then, Trump reinstated those troops who had been discharged not for mental illness, but for refusing the experimental and ineffective COVID vaccine Democrats forced on everyone.

We’re only halfway through one newsletter now, but you get the idea. And that’s just Tuesday morning. Monday opened with the president’s “shocking” public victory over Colombia. After the South American country refused to accept Colombian illegal immigrants whom the United States had flown home, Trump vowed to raise tariffs to 25%, promised to double that in one week’s time, and revoked diplomatic visas. Colombian resistance quickly folded, and the government agreed to accept its own citizens.

On Tuesday night, he told all federal employees who do not want to return to their offices (for the first time in five years) that he’ll offer them pay through September if they retire by next Thursday. He also issued an executive order stating that “it is the policy of the United States that it will not fund, sponsor, promote, assist, or support the so-called ‘transition’ of a child from one sex to another, and it will rigorously enforce all laws that prohibit or limit these destructive and life-altering procedures.”

It’s tough to overstate how refreshing this is to an American right not used to seeing its leaders wield actual power. The shock to the international community is merely the sad reflection of how the United States has acted for decades. You can just hear the howls from Foggy Bottom, where career diplomats are more concerned with what’s good for foreign states than for their own. Let’s hope many of them will follow their friends out the door next.

In the end, it’s about effectively wielding the power of the presidency and thereby exposing the lies that have covered for inaction for years.

For example, in his first term (plus former President Joe Biden’s), Trump proved that border enforcement is a tangible problem that can be addressed. Washington had denied this simple reality for decades. Trump exposed it. Biden proved the point for any who’d been distracted by all the noise of that 45th administration to notice.

In his second term, the now-47th president is set to test the notion that liberalism cannot be rolled back in any meaningful way. His well-planned, swiftly executed shock-and-awe reforms are breaking all the rules that have previously kept Republicans confined to controlled-opposition status.

“But let’s also be clear,” Playbook wrote at the end of its long list of executive actions. Everything the president has done was “spelled out by Trump long in advance.”

Throughout the election campaign, he told America repeatedly that he would reshape the federal government, root out (and even prosecute) his enemies, pardon supporters who were convicted of violent crimes, slash government spending programs en masse and ax huge numbers of federal jobs. And then he won 77 million votes to do exactly that. Those accusing Trump of being anti-democratic might note that this is largely democracy in action.

Indeed it is! The only real surprise here is that voters are finally getting what they asked for.

For decades, Republicans have proven ineffective at rolling back the advances of liberalism. Every successive Democratic-controlled legislature and executive expanded its reach and power. Successive Republican leaders picked away at these advances, but virtually never turned them back. Trump, it seems, might be an exception: a man who spent four years in exile, learning from his mistakes, studying his opponents, and preparing for his return. We’ve never seen anything like it.

Fortunately, courage is contagious. More, you won’t so easily convince the American people again that real action is impossible. They voted for change. Trump is testing what the presidency can deliver.

How the Arctic could define America’s next century

January 29, 2025 Ogghy Filed Under: INVESTIGATIONS, The Blaze

When President Trump recently announced on Truth Social that “ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity,” critics immediately jumped to conclusions. Democrats and media outlets spun wild narratives, suggesting this would somehow give Russia and China carte blanche to annex territories of their own. The Guardian went so far as to accuse Donald Trump Jr. of inviting homeless people and drug dealers off the street in Greenland and giving them a free lunch to make it look like there are a bunch of native Trump fans. The hysteria is as predictable as it is ridiculous.

Let’s set the record straight: America is not going to invade Greenland. But if we’re serious about securing our national interests in the Arctic — and the world — then we cannot afford to ignore Greenland any longer.

If Greenland becomes independent, its need for economic and military partnerships will be greater than ever. The United States should be at the front of that line.

Greenland has been a strategic partner to the U.S. for over 80 years. During World War II, Nazi Germany’s occupation of Denmark prompted the United States to establish a presence in Greenland to prevent the island from falling into enemy hands.

That presence solidified in 1951 when the Pentagon built Pituffik Space Base, a critical military position in the Arctic. This air base, located 750 miles north of the Arctic Circle, remains vital for deterring Russian aggression and detecting potential missile threats. Even as recently as 2017, the U.S. invested millions in upgrading its radar systems there to deter Russian intercontinental ballistic missiles.

In 1946, President Harry Truman offered Denmark $100 million in gold bullion to buy Greenland, recognizing its immense strategic value. Denmark declined, but the geopolitical importance of Greenland has only grown. The Arctic is no longer considered a “frozen wasteland” on the map — it’s a battleground for influence, resources, and security.

The stakes in the Arctic

Why does Greenland matter so much? The U.S. Geological Survey estimates that the Arctic holds 30% of the world’s undiscovered natural gas and 13% of its undiscovered oil. Additionally, Greenland’s vast deposits of rare earth minerals — essential for technology, vehicles, and national defense — are virtually untapped. These are the resources that will power the 21st-century economy, and right now, China has a stranglehold on them. The U.S. imports 72% of its rare earth minerals from China. That is not just unsustainable; it’s dangerous.

China and Russia understand Greenland’s importance. Beijing has already attempted to secure mining rights and infrastructure projects on the island. Moscow, too, has been eyeing the Arctic as it ramps up its military activities in the region. If Greenland were to become independent without U.S. involvement, it’s easy to imagine these two adversaries stepping in to fill the void.

A path forward?

Critics have mocked Trump’s interest in purchasing Greenland, likening it to a real estate scheme. But this isn’t about buying beachfront property. It’s about securing America’s future.

Greenland’s push for independence from Denmark is gaining momentum. Its prime minister recently called for creating a framework for full independence, citing the “colonial era” treatment by Denmark. If Greenland becomes independent, its need for economic and military partnerships will be greater than ever. The United States should be at the front of that line, ensuring Greenland’s security while building a mutually beneficial economic relationship.

This doesn’t necessarily mean a direct purchase of Greenland, as Truman proposed. Instead, we could forge a comprehensive partnership that strengthens Greenland’s autonomy while aligning its future with American interests. Expanding trade, investing in infrastructure, and collaborating on resource development are all ways to deepen our ties with Greenland without stepping on Denmark’s toes.

A linchpin for Arctic security

Acquiring or partnering with strategic foreign lands like Greenland isn’t just a Trump idea; it’s a commonsense principle that has been adopted by presidents over the past 100 years.

In 1917, President Woodrow Wilson — hardly a conservative hero — purchased the Danish West Indies (now the U.S. Virgin Islands) to protect American interests in the Caribbean. That purchase, made for $25 million, was driven by fears that Germany might use the islands as a naval base during World War I.

The same logic applies to Greenland today. Its strategic location makes it a linchpin for Arctic security, and its resources are vital to America’s energy independence and technological future.

By prioritizing Greenland, President Trump is thinking beyond short-term political wins. He’s positioning America to lead in the Arctic while countering the growing influence of China and Russia. This is the kind of bold, visionary leadership that America needs — and it’s why the left hates it so much. The left would rather focus on short-term optics and partisan squabbles than confront the real challenges facing our nation.

The Arctic is the new frontier, and Greenland is the gateway. President Trump’s focus on Greenland isn’t some outlandish idea — it’s a strategic imperative. Whether through a purchase, a partnership, or a deeper alliance, America must act now to secure its interests in this critical region. This is about more than politics or headlines. It’s about ensuring that America remains strong, secure, and free for generations to come.

Roseanne Barr Plots Long-Awaited TV Comeback — Working on Comedy Series About Gun-Toting Alabama Farmers

Roseanne Barr is plotting her television comeback.

Seven years after Roseanne was cancelled by ABC for referring to former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett as the offspring of the “Muslim Brotherhood & Planet of the Apes,” Barr is working on a show she says is “a cross between The Roseanne Show and The Sopranos.”

In an interview with Variety, Barr explained that the show will center on an Alabama farming family who are “saving the United States from drug gangs and China.”

She also revealed that while the show will be offered to Hollywood studios, she will not be deterred by their rejection and is willing to try and make it herself.

It’s silly and out there. [It will contain] very offensive ideas and a lot of swearing. I live with my daughter and her husband and their six children on a farm. And they have goats running through their house and stuff. It’s based on my life as a farmer in Hawaii.

[…]

They save America with guns, the Bible, petty crime and alcoholism. It’s kind of like the Coen brothers thing. If Hollywood doesn’t buy it, then I’m just gonna make it myself.

Does anybody in [Hollywood] like America or the people who watch TV? Because the people who watch TV would really like to see a show where working-class people win against the enemies of America.

Roseanne also weighed in on Donald Trump’s election victory and said that Hollywood should work with her in order to help reach out to the millions of Americans they have worked so hard to alienate:

Hollywood has made itself irrelevant to the American people. If they want to survive, they should work with the new president. American people elected him in an overwhelming victory.

They should get back in touch with [them] and make some money, which I don’t know if they do or not ’cause they’ve proven to be ideologues rather than [business people]. What shocks me is the fact that they prefer to lose money and then explain that to the shareholders who apparently have no problem with that.

[…]

I don’t give a fuck either way. I’d like to get paid handsomely to bring another shit fucking network back from doom as I’ve done twice for ABC. But I just don’t see how they would keep their nose out of my business. We’ll see. If not, I’ll just go somewhere else and put it on my own website.

The Trump administration regards me as a loose cannon, which I am. I’m not a party line person for anyone or anything except myself. The Trump staff or whoever runs it, they’re a little afraid of me. I am a loudmouth comedian, so I understand it. But it really hurt my feelings. But what are you gonna do?

Last week, Roseanne also showed off her creative side with by collaborating on Tom MacDonald’s song “Daddy’s Home” ahead of Trump’s inauguration.
