Brandon Aiyuk drove 104 MPH near Levi’s Stadium and filmed it, now a warrant has been issued for his arrest
At some point, Brandon Aiyuk has to learn that stupid decisions come with consequences. The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver may be about to get that lesson after authorities issued a warrant for his arrest over an alleged 104 miles per hour speeding incident.Aiyuk will be arrested because the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office has issued a misdemeanor arrest warrant for the charge of exhibition of speed, a misdemeanor, a spokesperson confirmed to OutKick and Fox News. The California Post was first to report the warrant’s existence. The reasoning behind the warrant is Aiyuk’s December 2025 driving escapades through Northern California, including the part where he sped past the 49ers’ practice facility at 104 mph.We know he was driving 104 mph because Aiyuk took a video of the episode and published it on social media for everyone to see.EAGLES EDGE RUSHER NOLAN SMITH ARRESTED FOR RECKLESS DRIVING, SPEEDING AT A REPORTED 135 MPHAiyuk posted the video on Dec. 20, 2025, showing himself driving a Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing through Santa Clara near Levi’s Stadium and the 49ers’ practice facility. The video showed Aiyuk reaching 104 mph on Tasman Drive, where the posted speed limit is 40 mph.Other portions of the video showed Aiyuk reaching speeds exceeding 110 mph.Aiyuk, 28, had time on his hands to get behind the wheel and video himself and then post it because he was at the time absent from team activities and facing questions about his future with the 49ers organization. The fallout was immediate. Santa Clara police opened an investigation into the video and later referred the case to the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office.Yes, Aiyuk eventually issued a public apology, acknowledging that his actions were a mistake. But the incident became symbolic of a tumultuous year in which the receiver earned more than $24 million without playing a game, remained away from the team, saw future guarantees voided and finished the season on the reserve/left squad list.Aiyuk’s future with the 49ers is darker than the cell he’s about to be held in once he turns himself in or is caught. San Francisco general manager John Lynch has said multiple times that Aiyuk has played his last game with the team.49ERS AGREE TO TRADE DEEBO SAMUEL TO COMMANDERS: REPORT”I think it’s safe to say he’s played his last snap with the 49ers,” Lynch said earlier this offseason. “It’s a situation that just went awry.”The Niners have tried to trade Aiyuk but, well, no luck. They haven’t been able to contact him consistently for most of the offseason. That has been a signal to other teams that Aiyuk will eventually be released. He has no future with the club, and his current $120 million contract is prohibitive to inherit in a trade, especially considering he did not play at all in 2025 while rehabilitating a serious knee injury and now faces legal trouble stemming from an alleged speeding incident.Since it is now past June 1, the 49ers can cut Aiyuk while suffering much less onerous salary cap penalties. The team releasing Aiyuk now would carry approximately $7 million in dead money this coming season to escape the deal. The club would also carry over $7 million in dead money the next couple of years and approximately $4 million in 2029.Can it get worse? Yes.Because Aiyuk will be arrested and could be convicted of the misdemeanor driving charge, he could thus be investigated by the NFL under the league’s Personal Conduct Policy. That policy gives the league broad latitude to suspend players that bring the NFL into a negative light regardless of whether they are convicted of a crime or not.Do stupid things, win stupid prizes.FOLLOW ARMANDO SALGUERO ON X: @ARMANDOSALGUERO
Marco Rubio Issues Perfect Response to Democrat Congresswoman After She Weirdly Obsesses Over His Shoes During Hearing (VIDEO)
Rep. Sara Jacobs (D-CA) obsesses over a confused Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s shoes. Credit: C-SPAN 3 Screenshot
Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke for everyone watching Congress today after a female Democrat congresswoman went on a weird rant about his shoes during a House hearing.
As the Hill reported, Rubio testified before both the House of Representatives and the Senate on Wednesday regarding the State Department budget request. This comes as negotiations to end the war in Iran are at a standstill, and the current ceasefire remains fragile.
But Rep. Sara Jacobs (D-CA) had other ‘concerns’ on her mind.
Jacobs first asked Rubio who won the 2020 election. When he did not give the answer she was looking for, Jacobs bizarrely mocked Rubio over his shoes.
“You can’t say that the president lost the 2020 election, just like you won’t admit that Trump is losing this reckless war of choice, just like you couldn’t admit the shoes Trump bought you are too big,” she taunted.
This prompted understandable bewilderment from Rubio, who could not understand why Jacobs was obsessed with his shoe size. He asked Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) if she was talking about the Florsheims that Trump bought, but they fit the Secretary of State perfectly.
Jacobs later caused more confusion by bizarrely claiming, out of nowhere, that the shoes Rubio was wearing today looked “very nice.”
Rubio then said what everyone was probably thinking at this point:
“Can you see them? They’re way down here. We’re talking about shoes…Is this the Foreign Affairs Committee or a circus?”

JACOBS: Mr. Secretary, who won the 2020 Presidential election?
RUBIO: I’m not here to answer that; this is a foreign affairs committee…As the Secretary of State, I do not participate in domestic issues.
JACOBS: This is not about political issues; this is about our democracy.
RUBIO: It’s the law and tradition of this department, and you should know that if you’ve been on this committee for any period of time.
JACOBS: Mr. Secretary, it seems that you have an issue admitting facts: you can’t say that the president lost the 2020 election, just like you won’t admit that Trump is losing this reckless war of choice, just like you couldn’t admit the shoes Trump bought you are too big.
You clearly don’t know what winning means.
RUBIO: What shoes is she talking about? He gave me some Florsheim shoes, and they fit me just fine.
JACOBS: Your shoes look very nice today, Mr. Secretary!
RUBIO: How can you see them? They’re way down here.
We’re talking about shoes, are you guys kidding me? I mean, is this the Foreign Affairs Committee or a circus?
What is this?
BURCHETT: I think it’s a circus.

The federal government has arrested and is charging a millionaire with dual Iranian-U.S. citizenship for providing tech to the Islamic regime that could help its military in its fight against the United States.
According to acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche, “Today, Jamshid Ghomi, a dual U.S.-Iranian citizen who lives in a $35 million mansion in Orange County, California, was arrested on a federal criminal complaint charging him with selling computer technology to Iranian companies and Iran’s government — including technology to help with Iran’s military and nuclear program.”
He continued, “These allegations assert that the defendant violated U.S. sanctions against Iran, aided one of our nation’s enemies, supported Iran’s nuclear program, and got rich doing it. Not only is he being arrested today, but we also are beginning the process of seizing his mansion, which was purchased with his illegal proceeds. Thanks to the work of @USAttyEssayli’s office, @CommerceGov and @IRS_CI’s Los Angeles Field Office, he will face the full force of justice.”

The allegations are that he procured “sophisticated U.S.-origin networking, security, and encryption equipment for Iranian customers — including the Iranian regime’s nuclear and military establishment.”
The Department of Justice said, “As alleged, Ghomi enriched himself by supplying U.S. technology to the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and other sanctioned entities responsible for Iran’s nuclear program. The National Security Division will hold accountable those who violate our laws to further Iran’s nuclear ambitions.”
The report explained Ghomi is thought to have moved over $15 million from Iran into his U.S. bank accounts and a separate escrow account, “falsely reporting the money to the IRS as a foreign inheritance.”
The report said, “His federal tax returns reported almost no income with his highest reported income in any year being $20,684. He allegedly claimed a tax break intended for low- to moderate-income working individuals and families, in seven different tax years while reporting more than $1.7 million in mortgage interest and $1.25 million in state and local real-estate taxes on his federal income tax returns.”
Federal agents executed a predawn raid at Ghomi’s $35 million Newport Beach mansion.
Uber Introduces $1,500 Monthly Cap On AI Coding Tools After Budget Blowout
Uber Introduces $1,500 Monthly Cap On AI Coding Tools After Budget Blowout
Uber has set a $1,500 monthly cap on employee spending for specific AI coding tools after the company exhausted its entire 2026 budget for those tools in the first four months of the year.
The limits apply to agentic coding platforms such as Anthropic’s Claude Code and Cursor, according to Stocktwits. Prior to the caps, some engineers were generating monthly bills between $500 and $2,000 in token consumption as adoption of the tools surged following their rollout in late 2025.
In April, Uber CTO Praveen Neppalli Naga went on the record saying the company had burned through its entire 2026 Claude Code budget in four months. Roughly 5,000 engineers, monthly usage rates between 84 and 95%, per-engineer bills ranging from $150 to $2,000. Neppalli reportedly torched $1,200 in tokens during a two-hour internal demo. Macdonald would later describe his reaction to learning the number as a “head-exploding moment.”
President and COO Andrew Macdonald has been open about the challenge – noting that while AI tools are seeing strong adoption, the direct connection between higher token spend and the delivery of useful new features for customers remains unclear.
A company spokesperson said the new framework is intended to “responsibly encourage agentic AI adoption and experimentation at scale” while keeping costs under control. The restrictions do not apply to all AI tools used at Uber – only the higher-cost agentic coding software.
A Wider Corporate Reckoning on AI Costs
Uber’s move is part of a broader shift among large companies as they confront the real costs of scaling artificial intelligence. Walmart has similarly capped employee access to its internal AI assistant, Code Puppy, after usage far exceeded expectations. The retailer shifted from unlimited tokens to fixed per-employee allocations and is now emphasizing training to ensure AI is used for high-value tasks.
This is what we’ve been seeing with every company we work with.
Try justifying spending 100k on token spend when only 18k even makes it to a stable prod feature.
In the rush to maximize AI token spend, companies are wasting over 44% on bug fixes https://t.co/9MNOtXtk4Z pic.twitter.com/y68Ed0XwXj
— Aiswarya Sankar (@Aiswarya_Sankar) May 26, 2026
Microsoft has also scaled back internal access to Claude Code for engineers in one of its major divisions, directing staff toward its own GitHub Copilot tools amid rising costs. But then, GitHub started charging for actual use vs. a flat monthly fee.
🦔GitHub Copilot switched to token-based billing this morning and users are already out of credits. Pro+ subscribers paying $39 a month are reporting 60% of their credits gone in two hours of normal use. One user lost 20% of their allowance from a single file review with no code… pic.twitter.com/AnIewV27rE
— Hedgie (@HedgieMarkets) June 1, 2026
Across industries, companies are discovering that agentic AI tools can deliver meaningful productivity gains but often consume tokens at rates that quickly outpace traditional budgeting models. Many organizations initially rolled out these tools with minimal guardrails. The result has been budget overruns and increased scrutiny from finance teams and boards over return on investment.
Rather than abandoning AI, most companies are responding by adding governance: usage dashboards, spending caps, approval workflows, and clearer prioritization of high-value use cases. The goal is to make AI adoption sustainable rather than uncontrolled.
As model efficiency improves and costs per token continue to decline, the economics of AI are expected to become more favorable. For now, the most disciplined organizations are treating AI spending with the same rigor applied to other major technology investments – balancing rapid experimentation with financial accountability.

Nick Saban urges Senate to pass legislation to fix college sports, but coaching contracts glossed over
The ongoing debate over whether Congress should intervene in college sports took center stage in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday as Nick Saban headlined a group of witnesses warning that the current system is unsustainable without federal legislation. There’s little doubt that NIL and the transfer portal have created a host of challenges. Some schools are spending upward of $40 million on football rosters for the upcoming season, while constant player movement has left athletic departments scrambling to adapt. It’s easy to see why many schools believe they’re facing an increasingly difficult road ahead. Obviously, this is the main reason why Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) spent countless hours piecing together a bipartisan bill.ZERO BS. JUST DAKICH. TAKE THE DON’T @ ME PODCAST ON THE ROAD. DOWNLOAD NOW!Yes, there were also plenty of points made from witnesses regarding some conferences (SEC and Big Ten) essentially standing on their own above others like the ACC and Big 12 in terms of revenue generated through television deals. But, there seemed to be a slight disconnect between those testifying on Wednesday and the fans who live for college sports. The invited guests included Saban, Notre Dame AD Pete Bevacqua, Pac-12 commissioner Teresa Gould, West Virginia President Gordon Gee and Utah DE Lance Holtzclaw, who all testified before the Senate Commerce Committee.Ted Cruz, Maria Cantwell unveil bipartisan college athletics bill amid NIL chaos, lawsuits, ‘Lane Kiffin Rule’Sen. Maria Cantwell pointed out that she believes the reason why both the ACC and Big 12 sent letters of support for the Protect College Sports Act centered around those conferences not wanting to be left for dead, like the Pac-12 was just a few years ago following a raid on their teams.”They think that [what happened to the Pac-12 is] what’s going to happen to them next. That somebody’s going to come and rearrange the deck chairs of those conferences, steal the schools with the eyeballs.”As for the portal, Nick Saban did not have a problem bringing up the current situation between Ole Miss and Clemson, which some on social media thought was a former Alabama coach taking another shot at the Rebels.NCAA INVESTIGATES AFTER DABO SWINNEY RAISES TRANSFER PORTAL TAMPERING ACCUSATIONS AGAINST OLE MISS”We have nothing to control tampering. You know, Clemson had a player that was on campus for a whole week, and they (Ole Miss) come and got him off the campus and took him someplace else,” Saban lamented. There were also some witnesses who decided to play the hits, especially when discussing the current models around NIL and collectives that have been a strong arm of financing for rosters across.Heading into the hearing, we all wondered how former Alabama coach Nick Saban would handle the moment, given that both the SEC and Big Ten came out against the bill on Tuesday evening. But, it didn’t take long for him to get going, though he could’ve used a cup of coffee of Ted Cruz.”I could use a little bit of that Cuban coffee becuase I didn’t sleep much last night because of this hearing,” Saban pointed out. “What is our guiding principles for the future of college athletics?”The conversation quickly shifted to the cost of rosters, which I don’t think the Crimson Tide are going to get much sympathy from.Brendan Sorsby gambled on his own team, yet the NCAA is somehow the bad guy in this caseAs Nick Saban mentioned, the former Alabama coach insists that the current system is going to be the downfall of athletic programs across the country.”But that is not the same thing as turning NIL into a pay-for-play system. It is not the same thing as using collectives and outside entities to create a bidding war for recruits and transfers. When the system becomes whoever raises the most money gets the best players, then we are no longer talking about college athletics as millions of fans and I have known it.”OK, but while Nick Saban and others brought up the current system that in their eyes will officially open the dam, there was little talk about how much money coaches are currently making in college athletics. We can discuss the costs of rosters, but at the same time we are seeing head coaches across college football making upward of $13 million per season for their services. So, the argument over roster costs can fall on deaf ears for some, which was evident by the reaction on social media from those who were. But, maybe the most important witness of the day was Utah defensive end Lance Holtzclaw, who was asked for his thoughts on the current system, along with what he thought about sports agents currently working within the space. No matter who was speaking on Wednesday, there is not going to be much sympathy from the fans regarding the current problems. For over three hours, Senate Commerce Committee members asked about the state of college athletics, and what could be done to fix it. During that time, we heard about how bad NIL and the transfer portal are for the game, but we barely heard anything about the lucrative salaries of coaches across different sports. We were consistently told that the portal is this horrendous apparatus and that agents are not helping the current problem, which I understand to a degree, but there was a lack of discussion around coaches being used for leverage to land the next job or how an opening at one school can lead to frenzy at another. One of the most interesting aspects of this hearing was where witnesses were seated. Lance Holtzclaw transferred to Utah after his former head coach Kalen DeBoer left Washington for the Alabama job, which was vacant because the key witness retired. So, Nick Saban and Lance Holtzclaw sitting at the same table during this hearing is fitting for the state of college athletics. Now, we move to the next phase, which will have amendments presented to the current legislation. This could start next week, and the reactions from Wednesday’s hearing will continue for days to come.
