NASCAR is headed to San Diego’s Naval Base Coronado next month for a street race, and that makes it as good a time as any for Trackhouse Racing to dust off the ol’ No. 91 car. And, boy, do they have a heck of a driver to put in it.On Wednesday, the team announced that ex-Formula 1 driver Kevin Magnussen will drive its No. 91 Chevrolet in San Diego in what will be the Dane’s NASCAR debut.Magnussen raced for McLaren, Renault and Haas in F1 and has moved over to sports car racing after leaving the series in 2024. He currently races for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing in the IMSA SportsCar Championship and WRT in the FIA World Endurance Championship.Magnussen will be driving as part of Trackhouse’s Project 91 program, which sees them putting drivers from other racing disciplines in Cup Series cars.CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK SPORTS COVERAGEKimi Raikkonen, the 2007 F1 world champion, was the first to drive the No. 91, doing so twice during the 2022 season. He was followed by Shane van Gisbergen, who famously won in his debut at the Chicago street race and is now a Cup Series regular.Last year, four-time Indy 500 champ Helio Castroneves drove the No. 91 in the Daytona 500.Magnussen is such a great choice, and a driver a lot of fans (*raises hand*) have been wanting to see in the Cup Series. One of the hallmarks of his time in F1 was his aggression, and in a stock car, that’s going to be a valuable asset.Plus, while a Camaro ZL1 is a different beast than the BMW hypercar Magnussen has driven in recent years, he’s no stranger to road courses, and as we’ve seen from his teammate SVG, that’s a huge advantage over most of the field.ZERO BS. JUST DAKICH. TAKE THE DON’T @ ME PODCAST ON THE ROAD. DOWNLOAD NOW!Is he a driver to look at for a win? I think he’ll run well, but the toughest competition might be within his own team.On road and street courses, Trackhouse is loaded. We’ve mentioned SVG a couple of times, but rookie Connor Zilisch is always right there with him. Plus, Ross Chastain has proven a number of times that he’s no slouch in races with right turns. So, Magnussen will have stiff competition within Trackhouse, but that may also mean some good people to talk to for pointers.

Watch: Shaheen dodges reporter’s Platner questions as aide creates donut distraction
A campaign staffer for congressional candidate Stefany Shaheen repeatedly shoved a pastry into the camera of an America Rising tracker as he questioned her about whether she supported Graham Platner’s U.S. Senate campaign. Shaheen did not respond.Platner, the Democratic nominee for Maine’s open Senate seat, has faced a string of controversies over the past year. Reports from last month revealed that he exchanged sexually explicit messages with up to a dozen women while married. The scandal follows earlier scrutiny over inflammatory past Reddit posts and a tattoo resembling the Nazi-era Totenkopf symbol, which Platner has said he did not understand was associated with the SS when he got it.Shaheen is running for New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District, a seat left open by Rep. Chris Pappas’ Senate bid to succeed her retiring mother. Although neither Shaheen nor her mother, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., has publicly supported Platner, Republicans seized on Shaheen’s refusal to answer questions about him.”Nepo baby Stefany Shaheen had the chance to condemn Graham Platner’s vile behavior. Instead, she chose to stay radio silent while her staffer attacked a questioner with a donut,” National Republican Congressional Committee Spokeswoman Maureen O’Toole told Fox News Digital. “Granite Staters deserve a representative who doesn’t glaze over simple questions and whose team knows not to weaponize a baked good.”LONGTIME DEMOCRAT SENATOR’S DAUGHTER TAKES AIM AT TRUMP, MUSK, RFK JR, IN LAUNCH FOR KEY HOUSE SWING SEATFox News Digital reached out to Stefany Shaheen’s campaign for comment.Despite Platner’s mounting controversies, several prominent Democrats have continued to stand by him. Janet Mills suspended her campaign and dropped out of the race in April.Democratic leaders have continued to support Platner while emphasizing the importance of reclaiming the Senate. Booker said “so much is riding on Democrats taking control of the Senate,” while Schumer has repeatedly framed the race in terms of defeating Susan Collins and winning back the chamber.
WATCH: Scott Bessent OBLITERATES Loathsome Democrat Senator During Hearing With a Devastating Question Regarding His Son’s Shady Background
Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) gets destroyed by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent during a hearing on Wednesday. Credit: C-SPAN screenshot
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent busted out the receipts during a hearing and raised some very serious concerns about a Democrat senator’s kid with a brutal question.
As The Hill reported, Bessent testified Wednesday morning before the Senate Finance Committee on President Trump’s fiscal 2027 budget request for the department.
The White House wants $11.5 billion in budget authority for the Treasury Department’s domestic programs in 2027. This marks a 12% decrease from 2026.
Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) decided to use the hearing to get personal with Bessent and the Trump Administration. Wyden had previously feuded with Bessent over the relase of deceased p*dophile Jeffrey Epstein’s financial records.
After getting smeared, Bessent pointed out that Wyden’s son, Adam, had an investment with Epstein.
Wyden accused Bessent of being a “capo” to what he described as “the most corrupt regime in American history.” But the Oregon Democrat then got completely blindsided by Bessent.
The Treasury Secretary then revealed that Adam Wyden’s largest investment was in Rick’s Cabaret, a high-end strip club.
So, Bessent had just one question:
“Did your son and Jeffrey Epstein talk about pole dancing as he begged him for money using your limited credibility?”
What a savage.
WATCH:
BESSENT: “Sen. Wyden has slandered the Treasury building to cover up his son having an investment with Jeffrey Epstein.”
WYDEN: “Nobody is interested in the rambling of a capo in the most corrupt regime in American history.”

BESSENT: Senator Wyden has slandered the Treasury building to cover up his son having an investment with Jeffrey Epstein.
WYDEN: Let’s be clear: nobody is interested in the ramblings of a capo in the most corrupt regime in American history. We want to get some facts about this deal; that’s what we’re here for.
BESSENT: And we would like to hear what Adam Wyden and Jeffrey Epstein talked about. Your son’s largest investment position was Rick’s Cabaret, so did your son and Jeffrey Epstein talk about pole dancing as he begged him for money using your limited credibility?

Mullin tells Congress primary border wall will be done by June 2027, secondary wall by summer 2028
U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin announced on Wednesday the administration is on track to have the primary border wall, from the Pacific to the Gulf of America, completed by June 2027.He added all contracts will be out by the end of this month, noting the department is making “great progress.”Mullin’s comments came as he testified before the House Homeland Security Committee about his department’s 2027 fiscal year budget. He testified before the Senate Appropriations Committee Tuesday.BORDER WALL CONSTRUCTION SURGES AHEAD AS ILLEGAL CROSSINGS PLUMMET TO HISTORIC LOWSHowever, Mullin clarified the primary wall is separate from the secondary wall.”The primary wall is the first wall up because of the way the cartels adjust… they’re thugs and they’re terrorists,” Mullin said. “We have to push out a secondary wall because they’ve been going in and cutting the wall, and before we can respond to some of these remote areas, they’ve been able to get through.”He said that every mile of fencing the department puts up, “the smaller the choke point gets for criminals to cross.”THE NEW HIGH-TECH TOOL TRUMP IS USING TO SECURE OUR BORDERTo combat the potential break-ins, Mullin said the secondary 150-foot walls will be placed in certain locations, in addition to a smart wall, which will tell the department how many people are there.”The smart wall is pretty impressive and we can put a drone in the sky and immediately keep eyes on them,” he said. “We’re well within track. The secondary wall — we feel like if we can continue to have the progress we have and the partnerships we’re having, we will probably complete that in the summer of 2028. All of it will be fully completed.”Mullin noted he has made multiple trips to oversee the wall construction and used aircraft to fly over “a tremendous amount of it.””We have some Democrat members that [have] had some concerns — some Democrat senators, congressmen — every one we try to address immediately,” he said.

Rubio Mocks Screeching Democrat Rep. as She Storms Out of Hearing (VIDEO)
Democrats spent Wednesday morning shouting at Secretary of State Marco Rubio during a hearing over the State Department’s budget.
Marco Rubio’s testimony to the House committee on Wednesday comes just one day after he had back-to-back hearings on Capitol Hill on Tuesday.
Rubio testified before the House Foreign Relations Committee about the Trump Administration’s 2027 budget.
Democrat Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove shouted at Rubio about his role in shutting down USAID abuses.
“And giving contracts with no transparency is exactly the reason why you shut down USAID! So practice what you preach!” Rep. Kamlager-Dove shouted.
“Can I answer? Oh, she gets to scream now, too?” Rubio said.
“What kind of thing is this? What is this? You get asked questions for 5 minutes, and you don’t get time to answer? It’s not a hearing! What is this?” Rubio said.
Democrat Rep. Kamlager-Dove then stormed out of the hearing.
“Why is she leaving? I’m gonna answer her questions!” Rubio said, pointing to Rep. Kamlager-Dove.
The Democrat shouted at Rubio as she stormed out.
“Well, thank you for coming,” Rubio said.

SDNY Prosecutors Looking At Valuation Discrepancies In Private Credit Market
SDNY Prosecutors Looking At Valuation Discrepancies In Private Credit Market
In a move that is long overdue, Jay Clayton, the US attorney for the Southern District of New York, said his office is looking at possible valuation discrepancies in the private credit marketplace.
Wall Street’s top prosecutor addressed the issue Wednesday while speaking at the Bloomberg Global Credit Forum in New York.
Clayton said the difference between the price at which assets are marked on one balance sheet versus others was at the heart of blowups at First Brands Group, Tricolor Holdings and 777 Partners.
“Where you look is when you have a market where there’s a bunch of participants and a large portion of them have it marked at say 75 and one or two have it marked at 95,” Clayton said.
“That’s a place where you say, okay, I need to ask some questions about the folks who are marking it at 95, particularly if they’re making fees off it,” he added. “To be clear, I’m asking my people to look at that question across the marketplace.”
An example of how furiously marks can move – lower – in private credit, back in March, we reported that Blackrock slashed the value of one of its private loans from par to 0 in just months, Infinite Commerce Holdings, sparking a selloff in the shares as the market was stunned by how quickly a loan from the world’s most iconic asset manager can go from par to 0 in just days.
At the same time, however, Clayton warned against “pearl-clutching” about private credit and suggested that it had been a boon to the US economy. He said he didn’t currently see a “transmission mechanism” by which issues in the private credit sector could affect the broader economy.
Clayton had previously expressed concern about how Wall Street firms value private assets. The Justice Department’s Manhattan outpost in recent months has been seeking information about BlackRock TCP Capital Corp. – most likely in relation to the abovementioned loan – Bloomberg reported in May.
Clayton, chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission during Trump’s first presidency, took over the Manhattan US attorney’s office after his re-election. In between those roles, he was chairman of private-markets powerhouse Apollo, which has recently been touting its push to price some $830 billion of credit assets daily in a bid to boost transparency.
