BMW ADRs Tumble On Full-Year Outlook Cut, China Demand Woes
BMW ADRs Tumble On Full-Year Outlook Cut, China Demand Woes
Add BMW to the growing list of European automakers slashing forecasts due to softening demand, especially in China.BMW’s ADRs fell 5% late in the US cash session after news that the struggling automaker slashed its full-year automotive profit outlook to around breakeven and warned of delivery declines. The European automaker said it would accelerate restructuring and phase out older models. It now expects automotive operating margin to range from -.5% to to .5% for the year, down from its previous forecast of 1% to 3%.BMW attributed the profit downgrade to fourth-quarter charges from expanded restructuring and a “decision to expand and intensify portfolio and structural measures.” “The portfolio measures stem from the sustained high demand for Neue Klasse models, to which the BMW Group has responded by introducing additional production shifts at an early stage. The resulting acceleration of the production ramp-up creates an opportunity to begin phasing out previous vehicle and technology generations earlier, including selected models based on Gen5 battery technology,” the automaker wrote in a statement. BMW also expects a moderate decline in annual vehicle deliveries, compared with a previously forecast slight decline. More details here:Deliveries in Segment Automotive: moderate decrease versus previous year (before: slight decrease).Share of all-electric cars in deliveries in Segment Automobile: slight increase versus previous year (before: at previous year’s level).CO2e emissions scope 3 supply chain and use phase in Segment Automobile: slight decrease versus previous year (before: at previous year’s level).Deliveries in Segment Motorcycles: slight decrease versus previous year (before: at previous year’s level).Wall Street analysts expect third quarter earnings before interest and taxes of 1.62 billion on revenue of 30.24 billion euros, according to Bloomberg Consensus estimates. Automotive revenue is expected to be 26.55 billion euros, with an operating margin of 2.56%. Vehicle deliveries are expected to be around 564,224. Jefferies analyst Philippe Houchois expects automotive revenue for the quarter to decline from one year ago, reflecting lower deliveries, inventory reductions, and a less favorable sales mix. The carmaker is expected to report results tomorrow.

Jim Hoft makes his midterm predictions on The War Room with Steve Bannon. – screengrab
On Wednesday night, The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft and Patty McMurray joined Steve Bannon on his popular pre-election War Room episode.
During the discussion, Steve asked TGP Editor Jim Hoft what his predictions were for the 2026 midterms.
Here is a transcript from Monday night’s conversation:
Steve Bannon: Hoft is going to lead us off here. Jim, your assessment sitting at the Gateway Pundit—you’re putting up stories all day about the polling, about maybe some of the polling misses, about these different campaigns. What’s your assessment on the eve of game day, sir?
Jim Hoft: Thanks, Steve. Good to be with you. Yeah, I saw Claire McCaskill from Missouri. Of course, I have a home in Missouri, and since she’s been in office Missouri has gone deep red. She wasn’t able to convince anybody here of anything, and she—I think she said something that was honest. She’s worried, and she should be, and I feel the same way I felt in 2020, 2024, 2016. You know, everything was against Trump. Everything. And Democrats wanted to make this election against Trump, and Trump called them out. He called them to the floor, and he’s been going around to all these states, and I just can’t admire that man any more than I already do. I think it’s going to be a big night for Republicans tomorrow. That’s my call, Steve, and we’ll see.
Bannon: What is—what evidence or what are you feeling? You’ve got a pretty good feel for this. What are you sensing when you say it’s a pretty big night for Republicans? You mean we hold the House and we hold the Senate, like at 218 and at 51 or 52? Is that what—that would be to me a monumental night. That would be a monumental night. Why is Jim Hoft calling this?
Hoft: You know, I think the Senate looks very good for Republicans right now. I like that candidate in Iowa. She’s running hard up there. I think Abdul in Michigan is going down. The guy is just radical. I don’t think Michigan voters are going to go for it. You know, our friend Patty McMurray who writes for the Gateway Pundit, she put up a story. She wrote—drove down the street in one of the neighborhoods around where she lives, a Jewish area, and they’re all Democrat for Mike Rogers. All the signs on their yards. We’re seeing a lot of that in Michigan. I think Wisconsin is a complete mess. I would love to see Michelle La Tafoya in Minnesota. She should win, of course. But, you know, what I’ve also seen at the same time, Steve, is that the Democrats rely, I believe, on the fake ballots. All of these different people coming out, you know, James O’Keefe and others in Minnesota wearing burqas going in. They get to sign up another eight voters with them. And then we saw in Arizona, the Muckraker guys had talked to people. Everybody they talked to were cheating, you know? And I think we see this all over the place. I’m so glad that President Trump—there have been some arrests, of course, not enough, but I think that will make some people think twice when they try to steal this election. But I think Republicans—there’s more of us, Steve, and I love your segments with TPUSA. It’s been fantastic to see what’s going on in Arizona, and you know, those guys are heroes.
Bannon: Gateway Pundit—please put it back up at the top. This thing’s important, and Michigan is like Texas. It’s everything. Hoft, where do people go to Gateway Pundit, sir?
Hoft: Absolutely. It’s thegatewaypundit.com, Steve. We appreciate all your support and we appreciate all of our—
Bannon: No, no, no. You got—you guys are the—you guys are the—the people in Georgia, the people in Maricopa County. You guys are heroes. It’s been so easy just to collapse on the thing you did, and Patty McMurray was right from the very first instant in November of 2020. Just remember that. They tried to put this guy in bankruptcy, tried to put him in prison. Patty McMurray, you’re a patriot and hero. Hoft, you are a patriot and hero also. Thanks, guys. We’ll check in tonight and see how it goes tomorrow.

AOC campaign memo frames growth from progressive firebrand to national Democratic Party force
An internal strategy memo released by the campaign committee for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N. Y.) and distributed to key allies makes the case that the lawmaker has evolved from a progressive firebrand into a formidable national political force. The five-page document makes no mention of a potential 2028 presidential or Senate run. Instead, it urges stakeholders to view her record as that of one of the Democratic Party’s most effective messengers for working-class voters.Following President Donald Trump’s 2024 election victory, the memo states, Ocasio-Cortez launched an aggressive nationwide push to rebuild the party around economic populism and establish a broad movement for working families.CARVILLE TORCHES DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS AS ‘PACK OF FOOLS,’ PRAISES AOC’S POLITICAL EVOLUTION”Over the past two years, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez has built a record of success that extends beyond her own electoral victories,” the memo reads. “The Congresswoman has emerged as one of the most powerful endorsements in the United States and New York State specifically. Candidates from rural districts and battleground seats see her as an asset for their general election campaigns.”The document highlights her fundraising reach, citing more than 2 million contributions totaling $38 million, an average donation of $17. 56, and over $3 million funneled to other Democratic candidates and state parties.’SQUAD’ RAKES IN RECORD $2.35M WHILE SLAMMING THE DOOR ON COP DONATIONSHer small fundraising operation is unmatched in the House and rivals that of Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., the memo claims.According to the document, Ocasio-Cortez’s strategy was shaped by post-2024 conversations with “Trump-AOC” split-ticket voters in her New York district, who expressed deep, cross-partisan frustration with a political establishment perceived as favoring corporate billionaires over ordinary workers.BERNIE SANDERS ADMITS DEMOCRATS FAILED WORKING-CLASS VOTERS ON ECONOMICS, DRIVING THEM TO DONALD TRUMP”As Democrats tried to understand why Trump had won again, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez argued that the path for the party to win back working class voters should be centered on economic populism, confronting concentrated wealth and power, and revitalizing American democracy,” the memo states. The memo points to race-altering endorsements in key primary and general election races across California, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Montana. It highlights Abdul El-Sayed’s Senate campaign in Michigan and Sam Forstag’s Congressional primary victory in Montana as central case studies of her influence in rural and conservative-leaning areas.AOC SIDES WITH BERNIE-BACKED PROGRESSIVE IN SENATE PRIMARY CLASH WITH SCHUMER ESTABLISHMENTForstag trailed significantly in the polls before joining Ocasio-Cortez and Sanders on stage at their “Fighting Oligarchy” rally in Missoula, Montana. Following her endorsement and appearance, he was able to erase the deficit and win the Democratic primary. The document outlines a turning point following her unsuccessful bid for ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, alongside a March 2025 budget standoff in which Senate Democratic leadership accepted concessions during federal shutdown negotiations. In response, Ocasio-Cortez shifted focus to taking her message directly to voters.BERNIE SANDERS DISMISSES HALEY STEVENS, SAYS MICHIGAN RACE IS AGAINST THE ‘BILLIONAIRE CLASS’Speaking at a rally in Idaho, Ocasio-Cortez laid out the central thesis of her national tour:”I want us all to understand that this constant pressure we feel in our lives—of the water rising up to our throats, the impossibility to afford anything easily, the fear of speaking up or being who we are in public, the bitter divisions driven more by online algorithms than the truth, the crumbling of our rights and protections— understand that this, right now, is what it feels like to be governed by billionaires,” she said.In the two years since, the memo states, Ocasio-Cortez has held large-scale rallies in purple, red, and blue places alike.”She made race-changing endorsements in swing districts and deep-blue party primaries, as well as in her home base of New York City,” the memo added.
