Shedeur Sanders is making a jersey change heading into his sophomore NFL season, and he’s going back to his Colorado roots. Sanders, who wore No. 12 during his rookie season, will wear No. 2 next year for the Cleveland Browns. As the Browns made it official on social media, Sanders did so as well, writing “#2” on X to coincide with his squad. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMThe move comes after wide receiver DeAndre Carter, who wore the number for Cleveland last season, is no longer on the roster. Now that he has a year under his belt, Sanders can make the change. And he does so with his old college number, as Sanders wore No. 2 at Jackson State University before transferring to Colorado, as his father, Deion Sanders, took the head coach role with the Buffaloes. SHEDEUR SANDERS’ WILD 2025 BEGAN WITH DRAFT FALL, BUT IT’S ENDING WITH HOPE AFTER TUMULTUOUS TURNSWhile he was wearing No. 12 last season, Sanders started the year in a depth role, as veteran Joe Flacco was Kevin Stefanski’s starting quarterback. But, when Flacco was traded to the Cincinnati Bengals following Joe Burrow’s injury, Dillon Gabriel, who was drafted two rounds before Sanders in a shocking NFL Draft for the Buffaloes product, took over the role. He would be Gabriel’s backup, but after the latter’s struggles and injury, it was Sanders’ time to step up. Sanders won his first-ever start against the Las Vegas Raiders and went 3-4 across seven starts as he remained the starter for the remainder of the season. Since then, Stefanski was fired; head coach Todd Monken was hired, and the veteran coach who served as John Harbaugh’s offensive coordinator with the Baltimore Ravens echoed what the Browns said heading into 2026 — there will be an open quarterback competition. Monken told NFL Network at the NFL owners meeting in Phoenix on Monday that the Browns haven’t “gotten that far yet” in terms of naming Sanders their starter heading into the team’s offseason program. Deshaun Watson, who has had a turbulent Browns tenure, is back in the fold, while Gabriel is back healthy heading into 2026. Sanders surely understands he’ll have to prove himself again with a new coaching staff in the building, as that’s ultimately the nature of the NFL except for a rare group of certified starters. But Sanders has a Pro Bowl under his belt already despite the small sample size on the NFL gridiron. He’s looking to build off the momentum of last season, but it’ll be a fresh start with a new number. Teacher of the Year finalist gets 14 years for sexual relationship with student she kept contacting
A former Colorado teacher and a 2025 state Teacher of the Year finalist was sentenced to 14 years in prison after authorities say she engaged in a sexual relationship with a student and reportedly continued contacting him after being criminally charged.Tera Johnson-Swartz, a 45-year-old writer and former STEM School Highlands Ranch educator, pleaded guilty to one count of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of cybercrime, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office announced on March 19. Officials indicated that the cybercrime charge stemmed from her continued contact with the student. The former teacher was accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old, which was discovered around January 2025 when the student’s parents found texts containing sexually explicit content, according to The Denver Post. Johnson-Swartz, who had been recognized as one of seven finalists for Colorado’s Teacher of the Year just five months before the investigation, was ultimately charged in two separate cases. The first stemmed from a grand jury probe into the relationship in early 2025 and the second tied to her continued contact with the student. NEW JERSEY TEACHER WHO SLEPT WITH STUDENTS AT FAMILY BAGEL SHOP LEARNS PRISON SENTENCEDocuments show the relationship started with texting but quickly escalated, with Johnson-Swartz giving the student cigarettes, letting him use her marijuana vape pen, and eventually engaging in a physical relationship, the local outlet reported. She was reportedly suspended from the school once the allegations surfaced and was later fired and banned from campus.Less than a month later, the involved student was caught on camera leaving campus and getting into a car that matched Johnson-Swartz’s vehicle, according to CBS. The teen reportedly admitted to investigators that his former teacher had picked him up and driven him to a nearby neighborhood. The incident sparked an investigation, and in February 2025, detectives with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested Johnson-Swartz on charges of kidnapping and contributing to the delinquency of a minor in connection with an inappropriate relationship with a student.WEST VIRGINIA TEACHER FIRED AFTER ARREST ON CHILD SEX ABUSE CHARGEJohnson-Swartz secured a $100,000 bond with the assistance of a professional bondsman and was released the following day, the outlet said. However, over the Fourth of July weekend that year, authorities were alerted by the student’s parents, who reported that the two were still in contact, according to CBS.The two reportedly encountered one another for two consecutive nights and Johnson-Swartz began calling and texting in the days that followed.Johnson-Swartz was arrested again. In addition to her prison sentence, she was reportedly ordered to complete six years of sex offender probation after her release, which includes registering as a convicted sex offender.
Far Left Activists Pressure Providence, RI Mayor to Stop Creation of Mural Honoring Murder Victim Iryna Zarutska (VIDEO)
Screencap of Twitter/X video.
Far left activists in Providence, Rhode Island have pressured the mayor to halt the creation of a mural honoring the memory of Iryna Zarutska, the legal immigrant from Ukraine who was murdered by a repeat offender on a train in North Carolina.
The mural was being painted on a wall next to a gay bar in the city. The owners of the bar had no problem with it until leftists started claiming that the mural would be a ‘far right’ symbol.
Providence Mayor Brett Smiley, a Democrat, caved to the activists immediately. This is all so pathetic.
WJAR News in Providence reports:
Providence Mayor Smiley calls for removal of controversial mural honoring slain refugee
What began as a memorial for a slain Ukrainian refugee has transformed into a political lightning rod in the “Creative Capital,” with Mayor Brett Smiley now calling for the artwork’s removal.
The mural, located on the exterior of The Dark Lady, a prominent LGBTQ+ club downtown, remains incomplete as city officials and community members clash over its message and funding.
The Mayor’s Office confirmed Sunday that Smiley wants the mural of Iryna Zarutska taken down.
He later released the following statement: “The murder of the individual depicted in this mural was a devastating tragedy, but the misguided, isolating intent of those funding murals like the one across the county is I continue to encourage our community to support local artists whose work brings us closer together rather than divide us.”…
Artist Ian Gaudreau, who began the work last week, told NBC 10 News on Friday that he never intended for the tribute to be political. Some residents visiting the site over the weekend echoed that sentiment, urging the community to focus on the victim rather than the politics.
Independent New England journalist John Gately did a report on this which you can watch below:

The mayor of Providence should be ashamed of himself. He calls this mural divisive. Can you even imagine a Democrat saying such a thing about the many murals of George Floyd? Of course not. It would never happen.
Democrats just don’t want to be reminded that their policies are responsible for Zarutska’s death.

Fugitive illegal alien convict on the run after attempting to strike ICE officer with vehicle: DHS
An illegal alien with a long criminal history remains on the run after he attempted to hit a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer with his vehicle in California as authorities were trying to arrest him, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said Monday.ICE was attempting to take Xa Lee, a fugitive and Laotian citizen, into custody on March 25 in Sacramento. Lee was driving when he was pulled over, according to DHS. LEAVITT CALLS ON CONGRESS TO END EASTER RECESS TO WORK ON DHS SHUTDOWNDuring the vehicle stop, Lee attempted to flee and tried to strike an ICE officer with his car.”The officer, thankfully, did not sustain injuries. During the incident, ICE officers deployed their tasers. He fled the scene and remains at large,” DHS Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said. “This is just the latest in a disturbing trend of vehicle attacks.”COLLEGE STUDENT’S ALLEGED MURDER BY ILLEGAL WENT EXACTLY AS DEMS ‘INTENDED,’ HOUSE SPEAKER SAYSA federal immigration judge issued a deportation order for Lee in 2010. His criminal record includes convictions for vehicle theft, stolen property, conspiracy, petty theft, two DUIs, resisting an officer, battery, and felony possession of a firearm.DHS noted that Lee’s evasion of arrest came amid a history of webinars by Democratic elected officials who advised undocumented immigrants on how to evade ICE and report encounters with federal immigration authorities. The agency cited California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, and U.S. Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Dan Goldman, both Democrats. All four politicians have repeatedly called for the Trump administration to halt its deportation campaign targeting criminal illegal immigrants. “DHS is once again calling on sanctuary politicians, agitators, and the media to turn the temperature down and stop calling for violence and resistance against ICE law enforcement,” the agency said.DHS requests that if the public has any information about Lee’s whereabouts, contact the ICE tip line at 866-347-2423 or online.
Detransitioner Chloe Cole accuses media of ‘trying to suppress’ coverage of transgender shooters
Detransitioner Chloe Cole said during a recent appearance on “The Adam Carolla Show” that mainstream media outlets are “trying to suppress” coverage of transgender individuals in violent incidents, arguing the issue is tied to broader mental health concerns.”A lot of the mainstream media is trying to suppress those incidents of these, these transgender shooters and not make the obvious connection between their mental health issues leading to their transition and then the tragedy that unfolds,” Cole said. The discussion began with host Adam Carolla questioning the psychological effects of hormone treatments and pharmaceuticals.I’M A GENDER DETRANSITIONER. I TOLD THE FTC HOW DOCTORS ABUSED THEIR POWER OVER ME”It would stand to reason to me that if you’re undergoing all this hormonal therapy … your brain’s got to be just sort of all over the road,” Carolla said, asking whether that could make violent behavior “much more plausible.”Cole then referenced her own experience with transition-related treatments, saying the medications left her feeling disoriented and altered her sense of reality.”Having been on these drugs myself, I know just how disorienting it is … being told that this is going to make you happy and then it just distorting you further and further,” she said.AAP FACES PRESSURE OVER TRANS YOUTH CARE, GUIDING DOCS TO KEEP PARENTS IN THE DARK ABOUT CHILD’S SEXUAL HEALTHCole said the public conversation often swings to extremes, with some avoiding the topic altogether while others reduce complex cases to a single explanation without examining broader factors or context.”There’s people who of course are just immediately dismissing them as, ‘Oh, they’re just – they’re crazy, and they just have mental illness,’” Cole said.Cole argued that deeper mental health issues are often left unresolved, with medical professionals and cultural pressures reinforcing transition rather than addressing root causes, calling it a broader institutional breakdown.”The bigger picture is that there is a systemic failure on the part of these individuals to be able to figure out their real problems, and then the doctors worsening that,” she said.FORMER TRANSGENDER CLINIC INSIDER CALLS $2M GENDER SURGERY VERDICT ‘TIP OF THE ICEBERG’CLICK HERE FOR MORE COVERAGE OF MEDIA AND CULTURECole also addressed the role of media narratives shaping the broader conversation surrounding transgender violence.”The mainstream media, by choosing to uphold the ideology rather than question it and its role in these violent incidents, is continuing that,” Cole said. “If we want to move forward, if we want to prevent violence, we all have to come together. No matter where we stand on this issue, or politically, we have to have an honest, open discussion about this and face the real problems behind these increasing incidents of transgender violence.” Carolla agreed with Cole’s sentiment, emphasizing the need for the public to have an open dialogue about the topic. “A good note to go out on — an open dialogue,” Carolla said.

American Express is about to retire this controversial card benefit
American Express is set to make its biggest change to its flagship card product since it was refreshed last year.On Jul. 1, the company will remove the Shop Saks benefit from the Platinum Card from American Express. In a statement offered to Frequent Miler, Amex added that it will “introduce several new and exclusive Amex Offers for Platinum Card Members at top retailers and brands” in the next few weeks. How can you still earn the Saks credit? The Shop Saks credit has been issued on the Platinum Card from American Express in two semiannual $50 credits, which are issued as a statement credit when you shop at Saks.com or an eligible Saks Fifth Avenue location. To get the credit, you must first opt into the credit. Then, so long as you make an eligible purchase and it posts to your account by Jul. 1, you’ll receive that statement credit. Terms apply. Notably, the credit does not apply to gift cards, meaning that earning this credit might be particularly difficult to spend considering Saks Global’s current financial state. In January, the company filed for bankruptcy. Buying something sooner with your card is likely the best move, as Saks’ offerings have diminished significantly in light of its bankruptcy. Why many will be saying “good riddance” to this creditAmex watchers were surprised to see the Saks credit survive the Platinum Card’s makeover in Sept. 2025 amid rumors about Saks’ health. Its bankruptcy spurred a ‘rush to redeem’, where Amex cardholders rushed to use their $50 credit. This has resulted in many affordably priced items selling out. With those items gone, it has become especially difficult to redeem the credit, which underlies a common complaint with the Saks credit. Absent already overpriced house wares or perfume, it was already pretty difficult to weasel your way to a purchase which used up just the credit and not a whole lot else. Now, it’s borderline impossible. (Consider that even items that are on sale are pushing $100).If you traditionally shop designer at full price, you might be able to pick out something from the catalog, since there’s not really a shortage of offensively priced clothes. However, you might want to filter by price, because even items in the “Sale” section of the site are starting above and beyond the $50 that cardholders need to spend. What will replace Saks?At this point, the suggestion is that the Saks Credit won’t be outright replaced with a new credit, but a series of new Platinum-marketed Amex Offers will likely arrive after its retirement in July. The arrival of these new promotions could coincide with a comeback of the company’s Member Week promotion, which has come and gone in recent years, but was held in March last year to coincide with the company’s 175th anniversary.Nonetheless, the departure of the Saks credit ultimately means a $100 hole in the card’s benefits. Despite that, in their statement to Frequent Miler, Amex said that Platinum Card Members continue to receive “more than $3,500 in annual travel and lifestyle benefits and statement credits” even without the soon-to-be-retired Saks credit. Among the fashion-oriented credits on the refreshed card are a $75/quarter Lululemon credit, which (personally) is quite a bit easier to spend than the Saks credit.
US Firm Boosts Production Of Precision Anti-Drone Systems
US Firm Boosts Production Of Precision Anti-Drone Systems
Authored by Prabhat Ranjan Mishra via Interesting Engineering,
A Florida-based company is accelerating production of powerful systems that can counter small drone threats. VAMPIRE counter-unmanned systems (C-UxS) deliver precision strike capabilities against drones.
The system has proved its efficacy on the frontline.
Developed by L3Harris Technologies, the system is a self-contained platform that delivers advanced reconnaissance and can conduct operations against remotely piloted aircraft.
VAMPIRE counter-unmanned system installed on vehicle
L3Harris Technologies recently installed its VAMPIRE counter-unmanned system aboard a GM Defense Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV), demonstrating a mobile solution to take out drone threats. The facility features a flexible assembly, testing and installation area to integrate VAMPIRE onto ground vehicles and containerized weapon systems. The production line can adjust and increase volume as demand evolves.
“Deploying VAMPIRE on GM Defense’s ISV is a great example of how quickly and seamlessly this system can be used by our Army customer to defeat the rapidly growing threat of small, hostile drones,” said Tom Kirkland, vice president and general manager, Targeting and Sensor Systems, L3Harris.
“Working together, we have swiftly responded to the urgent need to defeat small unmanned autonomous systems accurately and affordably while allowing ground forces to stay tactically mobile.”
Highly adaptable to meet diverse mission
The company claims that the GM Defense ISV is uniquely engineered to fulfill U.S. Army requirements for rapid deployment. With robust off-road capabilities, the ISV significantly improves tactical mobility across a range of military operations. The vehicle is easily maintainable and highly adaptable to meet diverse mission and operational needs, according to a press release.
GM Defense partners with companies like L3Harris to design and produce diverse kits to support the broad range of mission requirements for a variety of general purpose and special operations forces. Incorporating a Counter-small UAS system like VAMPIRE adds new capability to protect operators from hostile drone attacks, as per the release.
“The versatility of the ISV is one of its core strengths, and integrating a critical counter-UAS capability like VAMPIRE showcases our ability to rapidly adapt the vehicle to meet evolving threats,” said John ‘JD’ Johnson, Vice President of Government Solutions and Strategy, GM Defense.
“This successful integration highlights how the ISV’s modular design and commercial-based architecture can quickly incorporate next-generation technologies to deliver immediate value and enhanced protection to our warfighters.”
The company also highlighted that the completely self-contained, low-cost, multi-mission, precision-guided weapons platform effectively engaged in combat operations since 2023, safeguarding personnel and critical infrastructure against hostile unmanned systems and ground threats.
The affordable, compact ISR and counter-unmanned weapons system designed to deploy on nearly any platform, vehicle or vessel, according to L3 Harris. This all-in-one system excels in Counter-small Unmanned Airborne System (C-sUAS) operations, delivering precision strike capabilities with customizable sensors and weapons, significantly reducing the cost-per-effect and overall cost of ownership, according to the company.

Even Far-Left CNN Has Had Enough — Brianna Keilar GRILLS Rep. Eric Swalwell in 3-Minute HOT SEAT Over Democrats’ Refusal to Fund DHS
Even the propaganda masters over at CNN are starting to realize that the Radical Left’s war on border security is a losing battle.
CNN’s Brianna Keilar actually did something resembling journalism, cornering the disgraced Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) over the Democrats’ shameful obstruction of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding.
As The Gateway Pundit has been reporting for weeks, radical Democrats in the Senate and House have been holding the entire Department of Homeland Security hostage, refusing to pass a clean funding bill that fully supports ICE and CBP while the partial shutdown drags on.
Keilar pressed Swalwell on a basic and devastating question: if Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) already has sufficient funding to continue operations, then what exactly are Democrats accomplishing by blocking full DHS funding?
Clearly caught off guard by receiving a real question from a friendly network, Swalwell resorted to the most deranged rhetoric we’ve heard since the J6 committee disbanded.
The man who was famously compromised by a Chinese spy (Fang Fang) claimed that funding ICE and CBP is “essentially sanctioning or signing off on more public executions.”
Brianna Keilar:House Republicans want DHS fully funded, including ICE. Democrats want to fund DHS minus ICE and some CBP. Realistically, though, ICE does have enough money to operate through the end of Trump’s term already, even without that funding the Democrats object to. What are you gaining as a party, uh, for the American people, if ICE is still going to be funded to operate either way here?
Eric Swalwell:Well, the White House, by funding ICE and CBP, is essentially sanctioning or signing off on more public executions. You know, we saw what happened with a nurse named Preeti and a mom named Good, and I’m not going to co-sign on that. And I’m with 100 members of the Senate—Republicans and Democrats—who voted to fund every part of Homeland Security, including TSA, but not give more money to CBP or ICE.
That’s what Speaker Johnson should have done. I should be sitting in Washington voting on this right now, but instead Speaker Johnson sent Republicans home. And it doesn’t even make sense—he can’t even be on the same page with the Senate Republican leader, who recognizes it’s absurd to have millions of Americans wait in line at airports when the solution was passed 100 years ago.
Brianna Keilar:Do you disagree with what I laid out there—that ICE has enough money, that there is enough money without the money that Democrats are objecting to? Because what are—what—
Eric Swalwell:That’s why I don’t want more money.
Brianna Keilar:But if they have enough, then how is it not just symbolic? Because at this point, you have a lot of people who are paying the price, right? A lot of attention has been paid to TSA—they, of course, are now getting paid because of the executive order. But it’s not just them, right? Civilians in the Coast Guard—they are going without, many of them in California. How long should they be prepared to work without a paycheck?
Eric Swalwell (00:01:57.08):It’s not symbolic to a 6-year-old boy named Joseph in my district. A couple weeks ago, he and his family were arrested and deported, and he’s deaf, and he goes to a school for the deaf. ICE wouldn’t even allow him to take his assistive hearing devices with him. They sent him to Colombia within days.
My staff flew to Colombia and took the assistive living devices. So for Californians, you know, this is anything but symbolic—it’s real, it’s present. And I cannot sanction what they’re doing, co-sign on what they’re doing, or even symbolically give them more support, because these are people scared for their lives.
And the solution was right in front of us: do what the Senate did—don’t give them any more money, but fund everyone else like TSA. We can do that right now in the House of Representatives. Speaker Johnson should.
Brianna Keilar:And how long do you think folks should expect this shutdown to continue?
Eric Swalwell:It can end right now. You know, Brianna—and the president, if he says he’s paying TSA, who the hell knows? He doesn’t even seem to believe in Congress anymore. He’s in defiance of the Republican leader in the Senate.
Brianna Keilar:Let me rephrase it: how long are Democrats prepared—how long are Democrats prepared to hold the line on where they are if there isn’t a change from Republicans?
Eric Swalwell:I will continue to support paying TSA. I cannot support more public executions or deporting more little children like the 6-year-old in my district who was sent without his hearing devices to Colombia. I’m not in for that, and most Americans aren’t either.
