FIRST ON FOX — Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., was one of the most visible Democrats on cable news before his quick fall from grace over sexual misconduct allegations, appearing on MS NOW and CNN hundreds of times in recent years, including 50 times already in 2026.Swalwell, who suspended his California gubernatorial campaign this week and said he will resign from Congress following sexual assault allegations, developed a reputation over the last decade for being highly available to cable news producers. His ability to go on air with little notice and his positions on prominent House committees made him a point person to offer Democratic Party talking points. A Media Research Center study found that Swalwell appeared on MS NOW 26 times and on CNN another 24 times in 2026 alone, with all the appearances coming between January 1 and April 10. “A combined 50 cable news appearances in just the first 14 weeks of 2026 is astounding considering he’s not in party leadership. He was averaging three to four appearances per week,” MRC associate editor Nicholas Fondacaro told Fox News Digital. JIMMY KIMMEL IGNORES SWALWELL NEWS AFTER EX-LAWMAKER ANNOUNCED CAMPAIGN ON LATE-NIGHT HOST’S SHOW LAST YEARMS NOW and CNN were giving the gubernatorial hopeful a significant amount of free airtime before he became engulfed in scandal, but Swalwell had been a fixture for years.Swalwell, who was first elected to the House in 2012, saw his star rise during President Donald Trump’s first term due to his prominent role on the House Intelligence Committee and the sprawling Russia investigation, often making charges of “collusion.” From Jan. 1, 2018 to the end of Trump’s first term on Jan. 20, 2021, Swalwell’s name was mentioned on CNN and MSNBC — now called MS NOW — more than 2,000 times, including on reruns, according to a Grabien data search. Swalwell made a brief run for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination but dropped out well before the Iowa caucuses. The New York Times reported that Swalwell’s frequent media appearances helped give him credibility in the California gubernatorial race, as he had “no experience in state government” and few connections with Democratic leaders.”What he had was a media profile as a Trump antagonist, burnished by years of appearances on news shows that made him more familiar to voters than most of his competitors,” the Times reported, later adding, “Mr. Swalwell’s experience combating President Trump gave him tremendous exposure — much more than a state government official can garner in today’s media ecosystem.”SWALWELL CALLS SEXUAL MISCONDUCT ALLEGATIONS ‘FLAT OUT FALSE,’ SAYS HE WILL FIGHT THEM ‘WITH EVERYTHING'”Swalwell was a staple for the liberal media throughout the first Trump term,” Fondacaro told Fox News Digital. “Often overlooking his cartoonish antics, he swiftly became a notable figure they would lean on heavily for anti-Trump commentary during events such as the Mueller investigation and the impeachments.””The liberal media’s love affair with Swalwell allowed him to weather the Fang Fang scandal and was carried over into the second Trump term,” Fondacaro continued. “As with the first term, they relied on him to be on the firebrand against Trump and his officials both on TV and in committee hearings.”Swalwell was also swept up with suspected Chinese spy Christine Fang, or “Fang Fang.” The suspected operative helped raise funds for Swalwell’s 2014 House re-election campaign and placed at least one intern in his office, but the ordeal did not derail the non-stop cable news appearances. In the past week, Swalwell went from frequent cable news guest to the subject of scathing reports about a series of sexual misconduct allegations that have swiftly derailed his career. CNN even had an exclusive with women coming forward with on-camera remarks. The Democrat, who has denied serious wrongdoing but admitted “mistakes,” noted the allegations came as he was among the frontrunners in the crowded field to be the next California governor.MS NOW and CNN did not immediately respond to requests for comment.TWO DEMOCRATIC REPS CALL FOR SWALWELL TO EXIT CONGRESS AS CONTROVERSY SWIRLS AROUND HIS BID FOR CA GOVERNORMeanwhile, members of the media have been casually noting that Swalwell’s behavior was commonly known in elite circles for years. Republicans are questioning how much top Democrats and media decision makers knew before the allegations became public. “Ruthless” podcast host Josh Holmes believes the media simply used Swalwell until he couldn’t help them any longer. “He’s a fall guy for a corrupt leadership and press corps that knew everything about his exploits as long as he was a useful idiot. He became a problem for their preservation of power, which is why you know about it,” Holmes posted. “The View” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin said on Monday that Swalwell’s reputation with women was reportedly an “open secret” that made him exploitable by America’s enemies. Liberal pundit Matthew Yglesias posted that the situation was “widely rumored” and journalist Yashar Ali said Democrats have “all known for years.” One reporter even suggested she failed to report out certain details because “MeToo stories on the Hill aren’t related to my beat.” ‘THE VIEW’ HOST SAYS ERIC SWALWELL’S REPUTATION WITH WOMEN WAS ‘OPEN SECRET’ EXPLOITABLE BY ENEMIES”This should be a cautionary tale to be skeptical of those the liberal media elevate,” Fondacaro said.”It’s been reported that Swalwell’s alleged misconduct was an ‘open secret’ among the media, D.C., and L.A. political circles,” he added. “What else aren’t they telling voters? Who else are they covering for and will only turn against when they outlived their political usefulness?”Swalwell said Monday that he was “deeply sorry” to his family, staff and constituents, but still insisted the sexual misconduct and abuse allegations against him were “false.”Fox News Digital’s Alec Schemmel and Adam Pack contributed to this report.

‘Blow the whistle right in her [bleeping] ear’: Video shows vicious assault on conservative journalist being planned in advance
Savanah Hernandez of Turning Point USA
A conservative journalist attacked at a left-wing protest in Minneapolis has released new footage appearing to show her alleged assailants planning the violence in advance.
On Saturday, Turning Point USA (TPUSA) Frontlines reporter Savanah Hernandez posted multiple videos and photos showing a violent confrontation as she was swarmed and physically attacked by a mob protesting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations in Minnesota. Hernandez identified a father and daughter in the attack where she was punched, shoved, and thrown to the ground repeatedly by the angry mob. The violent assault has drawn the attention of the Department of Justice.

The father, Chris Ostroushko, can be heard in the new video released Monday seemingly planning the incident in advance and giving directions to his daughter Paige, according to Hernandez.
“The more footage that comes out, the worse it gets for the Ostroushko family,” Hernandez wrote as she shared the clip. “Here’s Chris instructing his OWN daughter to come up to me and, ‘Blow the whistle right in her f***ing ear.’”

Ostroushko served probation after a 2005 conviction for unemployment fraud.
At the start of the new video, Ostroushko is seen telling his daughter, a soccer player at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, to get the whistle from the car and to blow the whistle in Hernandez’s ear prior to Hernandez being attacked. Hernandez posted Sunday that the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office was charging Ostroushko, his wife DeYanna and his daughter in connection with her apparent assault, reporting in a follow-up post she was suffering from a headache and stiff neck after the incident.
Another social media post by Townhall.com columnist Dustin Grage shows Chris Ostroushko posing with former CNN host Don Lemon and William Scott Kelly, both of whom who were indicted for their role in the storming of Cities Church in January that Lemon livestreamed.
The protest footage also shows Hennepin County Sheriff’s deputies being berated by the mob after they intervened in the situation.
Blowing a whistle into a person’s ear can cause temporary or permanent hearing loss by damaging the cochlea, which are hairs inside the inner ear, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet K. Dhillon indicated in a Saturday post on X that the federal government was probing the incident.
Conservative journalists have been repeatedly assaulted while covering anti-ICE riots. In one incident, a reporter for the Daily Caller News Foundation was assaulted by anti-ICE rioters near a makeshift roadblock in February, weeks after independent journalists Cam Higby and Nick Sortor survived a January attack by a mob of rioters opposed to ICE operations.
Anti-ICE rioters also reportedly directed violence against counter protesters supporting the federal immigration enforcement operations. Video taken by DCNF reporter Jorge Ventura shows anti-ICE rioters attacking a person who attended an event sponsored by independent journalist Jake Lang to protest welfare fraud reportedly perpetrated by Somali migrants.

A new CEO and a deal with Uber aren’t enough to lift this EV maker’s struggling stock
The announcement comes amid concerns from investors about Lucid’s ability to stay afloat.
Early Pepsi stock investors now earn a 10% dividend yield
There’s a reason patient investors love dividend stocks. If you hold quality dividend stocks long enough, the income keeps growing, even if you never add another dollar.PepsiCo, a Dividend King is a textbook example. Anyone who bought shares back in 2006 and simply held on is now collecting a nearly 10% yield on their original investment. Fidelity puts it plainly in its investor education content: dividend-paying stocks “provide a way for investors to get paid during rocky market periods” and a growing dividend stream “can help build wealth over time.” Pepsi (PEP) is proof that this is more than theory. How the dividend math plays out for Pepsi stockHere’s a simple way to analyze the power of a growing dividend stock.Back in 2006, PEP stock traded around $59. A $1,000 investment bought you roughly 17 shares. At that point, PepsiCo’s annualized dividend was $1.04 per share, putting your annual dividend income at about $17.68. That’s a yield of roughly 1.8% on your cost. In April 2026, Pepsi pays an annual dividend of $5.69 per share. It means the original 17 shares now generate $96.73 in annual dividends. On a $1,000 investment, that’s a yield on cost of 9.7%.You didn’t do anything. You just held the stock and increased your dividend income by more than 4x. More on dividend stocks:Early Broadcom stock investors now earn 16.8% dividend yieldAn $18 billion reason to own this 147-year-old dividend stockDown 76% from high, Nike stock offers dividend yield of about 4%That’s the quiet superpower of dividend growth investing and it’s why income investors keep coming back to names like PEP.Key dividend ratios for Pepsi stockAnnual dividend per share: $5.69Current dividend yield: ~3.6%Quarterly dividend payment: $1.42 per shareConsecutive years of dividend increases: 54 years (Dividend King status)20-year average dividend growth rate: ~8% per yearDividend frequency: QuarterlyLast ex-dividend date: March 6, 2026The annual dividend expense for Pepsi is around $7.4 billion, while the beverage giant is forecast to end 2026 with a free cash flow of $10.72 billion. Pepsi’s dividend payout ratio is not too high, given that FCF is projected to increase to $14.9 billion in 2030. PepsiCo’s$94 billion revenue base, $15 billion in operating profit, and steady free cash flow growth give the company room to sustain and increase its dividend payout. Related: Coca-Cola and Pepsi bring back classic flavors, launch new onesManagement also recently announced a $10 billion share repurchase program alongside the dividend hike, signaling confidence in the business.Pepsi remains a top dividend stockThe S&P 500 index offers a dividend yield of less than 1.5%, making PEP stock all the more attractive for passive income investors. Wall Street’s consensus PEP stock price target is $173.36, implying a meaningful 11.2% upside from current levels of $158. Of 15 analysts covering the stock, seven rate it a “Buy” and eight rate it a “Hold”. At the company’s February 2026 CAGNY conference, PepsiCo Chairman and CEO Ramon Laguarta was direct about the path forward.

He committed to accelerating organic revenue growth back to mid-single digits, driving a record year of productivity savings, and returning the company to its long-term earnings-per-share growth algorithm of high single digits. CFO Steve Schmitt added that the company targets at least 100 basis points of operating margin expansion over the next three years, which would further strengthen the dividend growth.Schmitt stated:“We have a meaningful and growing dividend. So we’re going to pay and we expect to continue to grow our dividend, which we know is important to our shareholders”PepsiCo is also reshaping its portfolio. Recent acquisitions include Poppi, Siete, and a stake in Celsius Holdings: all aimed at capturing health-conscious consumers. PepsiCo stock has been a clear winnerNo dividend stock is without risk, and volume trends in North American snacks have been soft. Moreover, if we adjust for dividend reinvestments, Pepsi stock has returned 381% to shareholders since April 2006. In this period, the S&P 500 index is up 665%. Pepsi has grossly underperformed the broader markets over the past two decades. However, it may be the top holding for retirees with a low risk appetite seeking passive income. Today, Pepsi stock trades at a forward FCF multiple of nearly 20x, below its 10-year average of 25.5x. If it continues trading at 20x FCF, the blue-chip stock could surge 40% over the next four years. After adjusting for dividends, cumulative returns could be closer to 55%. CBS Talks Up Idea of Trump Hurting GOP in Midterms with Jesus Post, Feud with Pope Leo
President Trump’s bizarre Truth Social repost with a painting implying he was a miraculous healer like Jesus made all the front pages on Tuesday with “allegations of blasphemy”: The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post. Why? Because they deeply hope offended Catholics and Christians will punish Trump and Republicans in the midterm elections.
On Monday, ABC and CBS led their evening newscasts with it, and NBC made it story #2. CBS Mornings opened the show in part with Jon Stewart joking about how he looked like the man Trump was miraculously healing.
Former Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell had spoken with the president on the phone, and he was unhappy with her loaded CBS report on three American Catholic leaders trashing Trump and “lawless” ICE. She reported it in the evening, and then again on the morning show:
Tuesday’s ‘CBS Mornings’ speculated that Catholic voters will abandon President Trump and the GOP in the midterm election over the last 48 hours with his criticisms of Pope Leo and his Jesus-like AI-image pic.twitter.com/QRRs6NJSBk
— Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) April 14, 2026
O’DONNELL: He said he was watching 60 Minutes on Sunday night, and that’s why he issued the Truth Social post and put up the picture where he depicted himself as a Christ-like figure he has taken down, but not apologized for it. You know, when I talked to Trump, he was doubling down on his criticism of Pope Leo. I said would you call him? He said a firm no. I said do you think he will ever come to the United States? Because he was born in Chicago. He said that’s up to him. They’re still at a stand-still. This is a diplomatic firestorm.
This is a feud which the elitist media are enjoying immensely, and Trump never shrinks from a feud with anybody. Journalists know this, and they hope it costs the Republicans in the fall. The discussion continued:
GAYLE KING: We have never seen anything like it.
O’DONNELL: Never seen anything like it.
KING: To see a pope and a president at odds.
That’s not true. In recent history, popes have been at odds with Clinton and Obama on social issues, and at odds with George W. Bush on wars. What’s new is a president insulting the pontiff as a bad leftist politician (and that Jesus-like painting post).
KING: It’s interesting — J.D. Vance said you know, it was a joke. So there again, there’s another interpretation.
O’DONNELL: I wanna just say…The Vice President is Catholic. The Secretary of State is Catholic. Six of the nine Supreme Court justices are Catholic. Thirty percent of Congress is Catholic. This is a huge voting block of people, and the question I think is what’s going to happen now in the midterms? Becausea lot of Catholics were offended and Christians were offended by that image.
This hot take is a little over-extended, since some of these Catholics in government are die-hard leftist Democrats who defy many church teachings, from Justice Sonia Sotomayor to Nancy Pelosi. Swing voters could be another issue, but some of these Catholics are die-hard Democrats.

Swalwell resignation collides with China-linked scandal as critics demand file release
Rep. Eric Swalwell, who announced he will resign from Congress on Monday, is facing mounting criticism over a series of sexual misconduct allegations, but another, decade-old scandal over the California Democrat’s ties to a suspected Chinese spy has also been revived amid reports the FBI is weighing whether to release documents on the matter. The sexual misconduct claims, including from a former Swalwell staffer, have renewed scrutiny of the congressman’s past ties to suspected Chinese operative Christine Fang as critics and social media commentators demand the FBI release files related to Fang.Article III Project President Mike Davis, a vocal Trump ally, said Congress must vote to release the investigative files — similar to how it voted to release Jeffrey Epstein’s case files — saying the FBI was legally barred from doing it without the legislative branch’s approval.”It’s time for Congress to vote to release Eric Swalwell’s FBI file, which we must presume exists after his affair with a Chinese spy,” Davis wrote on X. “His counter-intelligence risks must be staggering.”CALIFORNIA REPORTER CLAIMS ERIC SWALWELL’S CONDUCT ‘WAS KNOWN,’ RAISES QUESTIONS ABOUT LOCAL SUPPORTERIC SWALWELL ACCUSED OF PAYING NANNY WITH CAMPAIGN FUNDS WHILE SHE LACKED WORK AUTHORIZATIONRight-wing social media influencers with large followings have also piled on in the wake of the new misconduct claims against Swalwell.”He needs to face legal consequences,” wrote Eric Daugherty. “Removal from public office is the bare minimum. And release the Fang Fang files. Don’t hold back.””Release the Fang Fang Files !!!” wrote influencer Catturd.DEM SENATOR RIPPED FOR ‘SMEAR’ OF FEMALE ACTIVIST ADVOCATING FOR SWALWELL’S ACCUSERS: ‘VERY BAD LOOK’Swalwell has denied the new sexual misconduct allegations, calling them “absolutely false” in a video statement. The claims against Swalwell, who was one of the leading Democratic California gubernatorial candidates before ending his campaign, came on the heels of The Washington Post reporting in March that the FBI was mulling releasing redacted investigative files related to Swalwell’s prior ties to Fang. Axios reported in 2020 that Fang, a suspected Chinese intelligence operative, aimed to develop ties with California politicians, including Swalwell. Fang fled the country and never faced charges.Swalwell sent a cease-and-desist letter to FBI Director Kash Patel upon news that the FBI was weighing a file release, suggesting it would violate his First Amendment rights, a federal statute about records releases and a Department of Justice internal policy. In response to the legal threat, the FBI said in a statement to Fox News Digital that file reviews were normal.”This FBI, being the most transparent in history, prepares documents for numerous different reasons, including for release to different agencies and departments to further review investigations that may have been opened under previous administrations,” an FBI spokesperson said. After Swalwell announced he would resign from Congress, Patel, his longtime political foe, called on the public to submit tips to the bureau about Swalwell and invited the California Democrat to meet for an interview.Erica Knight, a Patel spokeswoman, suggested Swalwell had a hypocritical view of federal investigative files, alluding to Democrats’ demands for documents related to Epstein’s sex trafficking cases.”Democrats said releasing files = transparency and accountability. Now Democrats say releasing files = weaponization and smear campaigns,” Knight wrote on X. “The only variable that changed is whose name is in the file.”SENATE DEMOCRAT AVOIDS ANSWERING WHETHER SWALWELL SHOULD RESIGN FROM CONGRESSFox News Digital reached out to the FBI for an update on the status of the Fang files and reached out to the DOJ about Swalwell’s legal threat.Swalwell has been dogged by his past ties with Fang for years despite never facing charges over the matter. Swalwell cut ties with Fang in 2015 after he was alerted by the FBI about her, he has previously said. The DOJ brought no charges against him and the House Ethics Committee found no evidence of wrongdoing on Swalwell’s part, according to a published letter the panel wrote to Swalwell in 2023 saying it had concluded a two-year investigation. The committee announced Monday it opened a new investigation into Swalwell based on what it said were “allegations that he may have engaged in sexual misconduct, including towards an employee working under his supervision.”Swalwell suspended his gubernatorial campaign on Sunday and announced he would resign from Congress on Monday following a San Francisco Chronicle report detailing allegations from a former staffer who accused him of assaulting her twice while she was allegedly too intoxicated to consent to relations with him. When news broke of his alleged misconduct with women, some immediately raised Swalwell’s ties to Fang.”Wait is this the Fang Fang guy?” asked Barstool Sports President David Portnoy.Swalwell has defended his association with Fang, saying in a CNN interview in 2020 that he was “shocked” when authorities told him about her. He said he offered to cooperate with the FBI at the time.In response to the report last month that the FBI was considering releasing the investigative files, Swalwell also put out a public statement accusing the bureau of attempting to interfere with his now-terminated gubernatorial campaign.”Through great reporting, we now know the outrageous ends the White House will go to target political opponents,” Swalwell had said. “The reason Trump is so desperately trying to stop me is not because I’m running for Governor of California but because now I’m the favorite.”Fox News Digital reached out to Swalwell’s office for comment.

Kimmel’s Conspicuous Silence After Rolling Out the Red Carpet for Disgraced Swalwell
Image: Video screenshot
Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel was beaming when disgraced Democrat Eric Swalwell announced his bid for California governor on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
After troubling revelations about Swalwell have unfolded, Kimmel has been notably quiet.
Instead of addressing the numerous, disturbing allegations against Swalwell, the partisan Kimmel instead continued his attacks on Republicans.
Fox News reports that during Monday night’s show, Kimmel focused on President Trump’s social media posts, his “No Tax on Tips” event at the White House, the Iran negotiations, and first lady Melania Trump’s remarks about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Swalwell resigned from Congress just one day after he dropped out of the California governor’s race.
On Monday, the House Ethics Committee on launched an investigation into Swalwell amid allegations of sexual assault.
The Manhattan District Attorney has also launched an investigation into Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell over serious allegations of sexual assault.
Four women have come forward on Swalwell so far with allegations of sexual assault.
One woman told CNN that Swalwell raped her in 2024 after he sexually assaulted her in 2019.
Another Swalwell accuser will appear at a press conference in Beverly Hills on Tuesday with her attorneys.
Martin Shkreli and Jack Posobiec shared disturbing videos exposing Swalwell’s bizarre hotel room antics with an alleged sex worker.
On Monday, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) dropped bombshell new details that have emerged that could send the serial scandal-plagued congressman straight to prison.
During an appearance with Fox News host Jesse Watters, Luna claimed that new forensic evidence and witness accounts suggest the now-viral hotel room video allegedly involving Swalwell is not only authentic but may involve an underage individual behind the camera.
For now, only silence from Kimmel.
