A routine Bangladesh Army training exercise turned deadly Wednesday when a Chinese-origin tank suddenly exploded while firing, killing two soldiers and seriously injuring an officer.
The deadly blast occurred at the Hathazari Field Firing Range in Chattogram, according to Bangladesh’s Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate.
The injured officer was initially transported to the Combined Military Hospital in Chattogram before being airlifted to Dhaka for advanced treatment.
The Economic Times reported that the vehicle involved was a Chinese-origin Type 59 tank—an aging platform derived from the Soviet-era T-54.
The Times of India also identified the tank as a Type 59.
However, the Bangladesh military did not identify the model in its initial statement, and at least one separate report described the vehicle as a Type 69IIG. The precise model has therefore not been independently confirmed.
The tank reportedly exploded while its crew was conducting a live-fire exercise.

The cause of the explosion remains under investigation. Military officials have not said whether it was caused by a defective shell, an ammunition-handling failure, a malfunction inside the tank, or another problem.
Authorities said steps were being taken to determine exactly what went wrong.
The deadly accident raises serious new questions about Bangladesh’s growing military dependence on Communist China.
China is already Bangladesh’s largest supplier of military hardware, providing Dhaka with tanks, combat aircraft, missile systems, and naval vessels over the past two decades.
Even more troubling, the disaster occurred only weeks after Bangladesh moved closer to negotiations with Beijing over a massive new purchase of Chinese J-10CE fighter jets and attack helicopters.
This is also not the first deadly accident involving Chinese military equipment operated by Bangladesh.
In July 2025, a Chinese-made F-7BGI fighter jet operated by the Bangladesh Air Force crashed into a school campus in Dhaka during a training flight, killing dozens of people, most of them children, and injuring scores more.
Now, two more Bangladeshi servicemen are dead following the catastrophic explosion of a Chinese-origin tank during what should have been a routine military exercise.

Democrat-run Broward County, long a magnet for election chaos, public-safety failure, and one-party machine politics, just got a statewide knock on the door.
At the request of Florida’s Office of Statewide Prosecution, the Broward Sheriff’s Office began serving subpoenas on Wednesday to the entire Broward County Commission, County Administrator Monica Cepero, the deputy county administrator, and several other senior ranking members of County Administration.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office issued this statement:

“At the request of Florida’s Office of Statewide Prosecution, the Broward Sheriff’s Office began serving subpoenas on Sept. 9, 2026, on the entire Broward County Commission, county administrator, deputy county administrator and several other senior ranking members of the County Administration.”

That is the entire sitting commission, all Democrats, plus the top unelected bureaucrats who run one of the largest county governments in America.
Sheriff Gregory Tony’s deputies delivered the papers. The same Sheriff’s Office that the commission has been trying to shove out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Port Everglades, Local10 reported.
The subpoenas come as Broward County officials consider whether to remove the Broward Sheriff’s Office from law-enforcement operations at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Port Everglades.
According to CBS Miami, prosecutors are examining the county’s review of whether BSO should remain responsible for security at the airport and seaport. WIOD reported that the investigation also involves a feasibility study conducted by consulting firm Jensen Hughes.
The county has explored creating separate police departments for the airport and Port Everglades, an expensive proposal that could dramatically alter public safety operations in one of Florida’s busiest transportation hubs.
BSO has argued that the proposed changes could cost taxpayers more and weaken established law-enforcement services.
The sheriff’s office has published information stating that Broward County is considering independent police departments for the airport and Port Everglades while also examining whether Fire Rescue should be brought under direct county control.
BSO’s public explanation of the dispute says previous transition studies found that creating new departments could be more expensive than continuing services through the sheriff’s office.
The investigation also follows a broader state review of Broward law-enforcement spending.
In June, Florida Bulldog reported that Florida’s Department of Government Efficiency ordered Sheriff Gregory Tony to provide extensive financial records dating back to 2022, including contracts, invoices, payments, personnel costs, and purchasing documents.
This is the same Broward County that The Gateway Pundit has covered for years.
In 2018, Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes presided over a chaotic midterm recount in which the county’s reported vote total increased by roughly 80,000 over the four days after Election Day, amid serious ballot-handling and reporting problems. Earlier that year, thousands of mail ballots were discovered uncounted after the August primary.
A judge also ruled that Snipes’s office illegally destroyed ballots from the 2016 Democrat primary between Tim Canova and Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Snipes submitted her resignation amid the controversy, and Gov. Ron DeSantis formally accepted it in January 2019.
That same year, then-Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel’s agency faced national outrage after the Parkland massacre. School resource deputy Scot Peterson remained outside Building 12 while Nikolas Cruz murdered 17 people, and reports later indicated that additional BSO deputies also failed to enter the building.
Israel nevertheless defended his record, saying, “I’ve given amazing leadership to this agency.” Gov. Ron DeSantis suspended him in 2019, and the Florida Senate later upheld the suspension.
Gregory Tony was appointed to replace Israel. In June 2025, Attorney General Uthmeier sent Tony a blistering letter after the sheriff publicly declared immigration enforcement “is NOT ONE OF” his priorities and that he would “NOT participate in it.”
Uthmeier warned that refusal to meet Florida’s statutory duty to support federal immigration enforcement could lead to contempt or removal by the governor.
Now the same Attorney General’s statewide prosecutors have asked Tony’s own agency to serve subpoenas on the Democrat commission that is trying to take the airport and port away from BSO. The optics write themselves.

America needed God on 9/11, when Islamic terrorists struck America with hijackings and mass destruction 25 years ago Friday, and “we still need His help today,” according to Franklin Graham, chief of the worldwide Christian ministry Samaritan’s Purse.
It was his father, Billy Graham who was summoned by President George W. Bush, who declared a National Day of Prayer and Remembrance, to address the nation.
Billy Graham said then, “We’ve always needed God from the very beginning of this nation. But today we need Him especially. We’re involved in a new kind of warfare. And we need the help of the Spirit of God.”
Franklin Graham, on social media, said, “Just as America needed the help of God then, we still need His help today. My prayer for our nation is that we will continue to turn to the God of Heaven who has brought us to this day and sustained us every step of the way.”
On social media, Franklin Graham memorialized, “25 years ago at 8:46 a.m., the first plane hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center. The second plane struck the South Tower 17 minutes later at 9:03 a.m. Nearly 3,000 people were killed that day in New York City, at the Pentagon, and on the four planes that were hijacked—fathers, mothers, children, grandparents, first responders, members of law enforcement and the military. Our nation and this world have never been the same.”
He noted, “I was at Ground Zero in the aftermath, and it’s impossible to describe the tremendous amount of pain that I witnessed.”
In a report posted at Fox News, he called on Americans to “turn back” to God.

“It is still hard to fathom the depths of evil that caused so much destruction,” he said.
He said America needs to recognize the need for God “like we did after 9/11. … Churches were full. People gathered to pray in public places.”
Graham’s work, also as head of the Billy Graham Evangelical Association, now includes a new 30-minute program, “A Day That Changed Our Lives Forever,” that includes survivors reflecting on the attacks and the faith and hope they say emerged from the devastation.
The report said, “Among them is Genelle Guzman-McMillan, the last person pulled alive from the World Trade Center rubble. Guzman-McMillan spent 27 hours buried beneath the ruins, unable to move and unsure whether she would survive. While trapped, she said she began thinking about her late mother and crying out to God for forgiveness and a second chance.”
Guzman-McMillan said there was a point where she no longer could endure.
“God, are you listening to me? Please show me a sign,” she said.
“And then someone grabbed me by my hand,” she reveals, without an explanation. “He told me his name is Paul.”
She said Paul held her hand and reassured her. “You’re gonna be fine. Help is on the way. I’m not gonna let you go,” she said he told her.
She now believes Paul was “an angel looking out for me.”
She said, “Something happened under that rubble. I found Jesus that day.”

UK Prime Minister Burnham Rejects Calls For National Data-Center Moratorium

UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham has ruled out a national moratorium on data centers.

Speaking in the UK parliament on Wednesday, Burnham said the government’s AI Growth Zone scheme would help ensure communities hosting new data centers would feel the economic benefits of developments.

Responding to a question from Labour MP Ian Lavery, who said three “vast” AI data centers are currently under construction in his constituency, Blyth and Ashington in north-east England, Burnham said: “At this point, I won’t go as far as a moratorium.”

He added that data centers “can be the magnet that clusters in other investment over time,” and said AI Growth Zones would help boost tax revenues for communities with data centers.

Burnham plans to devolve more power to local mayors, including allowing them to spend a greater proportion of tax raised in their areas on local projects.

Under Burnham’s predecessor, Keir Starmer, the UK government championed data centers as a vehicle for economic growth.

It set up AI Growth Zones as a way to attract digital infrastructure projects to specific areas, touting tax incentives and priority access to power.

Blyth and Ashington, Lavery’s constituency, is home to major projects including a £10 billion ($13bn) plan to convert a former power station into a 720MW AI data center, which is being developed by Blackstone-owned QTS.

A lot has changed in the past year and a half, with Starmer out and the Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology (DSIT), which oversaw the launch of AI Growth Zones, closed and merged into the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade when Burnham took office this summer.

After a period of uncertainty about the future of the growth zone program, government officials confirmed to DCD that the team now reports to UK AI minister Kanishka Narayan. However, the architect of the scheme, Matt Clifford, has left his role in government to join AI lab Anthropic.

Burnham’s backing of data centers contrasts with the stance of UK Green Party leader Zack Polanski, who has called for a national moratorium citing concerns over power and water usage.

In Scotland, lawmakers in the Scottish National Party and the Scottish Green Party have also backed a ban north of the border.

The left has decided that if they can’t overcome the issue of faith and belief in God, that they must take it over and make it their own.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) told the National Baptist Convention this week that she is “amazed watching how God works” in advancing progressive politics, citing organizing efforts in deep-red states.
Speaking to the convention in Orlando, Florida, the New York Democrat framed a string of recent electoral developments in religious terms, describing them as the fruit of faith-based organizing during her 2024 rally tour with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). She recounted stops in states pundits called hopeless.
“Why would you go to Idaho? Why would you go to Montana? Why would you go to Utah?” Ocasio-Cortez said. “I felt very called.”
The congresswoman claimed a “miracle” followed. She said that after organizing in Utah, a court intervened.
“We said we must have the faith of a mustard seed. We must organize anyway,” she said. “One year later, out of nowhere, a judge strikes down Utah’s map and they are ordered to redraw. And it is only because of the organizing that we did in faith when there was no evidence.”
