Army Tests Autonomous Robots That Hunt Enemy Targets

Army Tests Autonomous Robots That Hunt Enemy Targets

Authored by Austin Campbell and Nicholas Slayton via Task & Purpose,Four robotic vehicles were sent hunting for enemy targets during a military demonstration at Fort Knox, Kentucky, recently, but only one initially moved.Guided by satellite imagery, the unmanned vehicle climbed a hill, scanning the surrounding terrain while the other three waited behind. Halfway up, it spotted a potential target and abruptly stopped. Two other robotic vehicles advanced to provide support before a simulated rocket strike hit a target roughly 300 yards away.Autonomous off-road vehicles capable of hunting enemy targets might sound like something out of the “Terminator” franchise, but the Oct. 15 demonstration offered a glimpse of how the technology could work on a modern battlefield. The four experimental vehicles were developed under the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s RACER program, which aims to give unmanned ground vehicles the ability to navigate difficult terrain without human drivers. The system used satellite images to help locate potential targets, while a human operator could review what the vehicles found and decide whether to launch an explosive drone at them. The drone demonstration was conducted in response to a request from U.S. European Command, which wanted to explore whether autonomous vehicles could operate ahead of American troops to locate potential enemy forces without putting soldiers directly in harm’s way.Fort Knox was selected in part because its terrain could simulate conditions American forces might encounter in Europe.”We looked at how a unit could deploy these types of autonomous capabilities in a theater like EUCOM to discover potential operational value and relevant technical challenges,” Dr. Jason Gregory, DARPA’s deputy program manager, told Task & Purpose. The technology remains experimental, but DARPA hopes other Pentagon programs will build on the demonstration to develop systems that could eventually be used in combat.”We showed what’s possible,” Gregory said. According to DARPA, the system was designed to comply with Defense Department policy requiring human oversight of decisions to use lethal force. The Fort Knox demonstration comes as the Army is testing an expanded range of unmanned vehicles designed to take on dangerous battlefield missions, from delivering supplies and evacuating wounded troops to locating enemy forces and supporting attacks.Earlier this year, an Army solicitation highlighted the dangers of the “last tactical mile,” the final stretch of a journey to troops on the front lines, describing it as “often the most dangerous and logistically complex.”While the technologies serve different purposes, they reflect a growing effort to expand what unmanned systems can accomplish on the battlefield while reducing the number of American service members exposed to danger.

Child’s measles death marks New York state’s first in more than 30 years amid outbreak

November 2, 2026 MMN Editor Filed Under: THE NEWS

A child in New York state’s Lewis County died in the first known measles-associated death in the state in more than 30 years amid an ongoing measles outbreak, officials announced on Monday.Gov. Kathy Hochul said she was “heartbroken” to learn of the child’s death.”As a mother and grandmother, I cannot imagine what this family is going through. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved this child,” Hochul said in a statement.”Measles is highly contagious, and vaccination remains our best protection against this dangerous disease. This is New York’s first measles-related death in 30 years, a devastating reminder of what’s at stake when Washington deliberately erodes decades of progress in protecting Americans from preventable illnesses,” she added. “In New York, we will continue to stand by proven public health measures and do everything we can to keep New Yorkers safe and healthy.”DEADLY MEASLES OUTBREAK HITS NORTHEAST AS STATE RECORDS FIRST DEATHS IN 35 YEARSThe Trump administration has made changes to federal vaccine policy, including revising the childhood immunization schedule and reviewing how vaccines are recommended. The CDC, however, continues to recommend two doses of the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine for children and says two doses provide the best protection against measles.Fox News Digital has reached out to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for a response to Hochul’s comments. The child’s death comes four weeks after Hochul declared a State Disaster Emergency in response to the measles outbreak across areas of New York and neighboring states, expanding the pool of eligible people who can administer measles vaccines and providing quick access to additional resources if needed. The governor said last month she planned to seek federal assistance to combat the outbreak.TRUMP SURGEON GENERAL PICK BACKS MMR VACCINE, REJECTS LINK BETWEEN CHILDHOOD VACCINES AND AUTISMThe New York State Department of Health said it is working with county health departments and local partners to provide the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine to any unvaccinated people who request it and to closely monitor and investigate all reported cases. As of Oct. 24, New York had recorded 178 measles cases this year — 170 outside New York City and eight in the city.State health officials urged New Yorkers to protect themselves by making sure they are up-to-date on their measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccines and be aware of health advisories if traveling with unvaccinated people, especially young children.”We are deeply saddened by the death of a child in Lewis County associated with the ongoing measles outbreak. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the child’s family and loved ones and ask that their privacy be respected during this difficult time,” the New York State Department of Health said in a statement. The department said measles is a highly contagious disease that can cause serious complications and death, stressing that vaccination is the “best protection against measles.””The Department has offered resources to Lewis County to assist with community outreach and support local vaccination efforts – both in response to this case, and as part of our ongoing efforts to support counties that are facing this ongoing measles outbreak,” the department’s statement reads. “We urge New Yorkers to ensure they are up-to-date on measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccinations and speak to their healthcare provider about immunizations.”

Greg Gutfeld Slams Democrats for Ex-Communicating Haley Stevens While Tolerating Radicals in Their Party (VIDEO)

November 2, 2026 MMN Editor Filed Under: THE NEWS

Screencap of Twitter/X video.
On today’s episode of ‘The Five’ on FOX News, Greg Gutfeld tore into the Democrats for throwing Haley Stevens under the bus over her endorsement of Republican Mike Rogers in Michigan.
Gutfeld pointed out that the Democrats have been saying for months that they are a ‘big tent’ party. So the tent is big enough for people like Abdul El-Sayed and other radical leftists, but not big enough for Haley Stevens?
The truth is that Democrats have reduced their entire world view into either being on their side or being seen as the enemy.
Partial transcript via Overton News:
Greg Gutfeld just NAILED the hypocrisy coming out of the Democrat Party over Rep. Haley Stevens endorsing Republican Mike Rogers.
GUTFELD: “She lost a primary, she didn’t want to support the nominee over concerns that we’ve talked about…”
“Allies accuse her of abandoning the party.”
“Okay, that’s a far sharper line than they apply to socialists, who are viewed…whose views are already deviant.”
“So if the big tent can tolerate dissent in one direction, why can’t it tolerate dissent in the other direction?”
“If socialists remain in good standing, which pushes the party leftward, why can’t they tolerate people who are trying to keep the left from pushing that way?”
Spot on take from Gutfeld.
The Democrats’ “big tent” has a very narrow entrance.
It only allows entry from one ideological direction…and the Stevens and Fetterman crowd clearly isn’t welcome.

The Democrats have no principles. All they want is power.
That has never been more obvious than it is now.

CHILLING: Pilot of Doomed Learjet Can be Heard Reciting the Lord’s Prayer in Background Before Crash (AUDIO)

New details are still emerging about the Learjet that crashed in Florida this weekend. In one audio recording, you can hear the co-pilot exclaim that they are going to crash.
Now there is another audio clip where you can hear the male pilot saying the ‘Our Father’ as the doomed craft raced to the ground in a crash that would claim the lives of everyone on board.
It is chilling to hear someone making their peace with God just moments before the end.
The Daily Mail reported:
A doomed Learjet aircraft that crashed and killed nine people in Palm Beach, Florida, started breaking apart in the air after being battered by a severe thunderstorm, officials believe.
The tragedy unfolded Sunday just miles from President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, where footage showed the Learjet 60 plane nose-diving into an intersection and bursting into flames.
Audio also captured the co-pilot of the aircraft, Nathalia Filgueiras, 20, screaming in a final call to air traffic control, while the pilot Jeff Gregory, 55, next to her could be heard reciting the Lord’s Prayer as they fell to the ground.
At a press conference on Monday, officials with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said they believe severe weather was a ‘significant factor’ to the disaster.
Here is the audio clip:

The NTSB is already sharing some of the findings of their investigation.
The New York Post reports:
The plane had requested to climbed to around 37,000 feet to avoid foul weather when its crew reported icing and turbulence before it suddenly plunged toward the ground.
“We do have some indication the aircraft was breaking up before impact,” NTSB spokesperson Thomas B Chapman said…
Investigators are still determining whether a black box recorder survived the crash, or was even on the aircraft and recording.
It’s difficult to imagine the terror these people went through in their final moments.

Why we love this deal

Even if you’ve never had the chance to stay at a cozy cabin or lodge, there are certain things that evoke the same feeling. Warm fires, mugs of hot chocolate, and a bundle of throw blankets can bring that cozy feeling to your space, without having to leave home. While any room can feel more inviting with these cabin-like elements, a bedroom is one of the best places to infuse your space with rustic charm.

Bedding that looks like it belongs in a comforting cabin is easier to find around this time of year, but finding a good deal on one is where things can get tricky. Amazon has a selection of bedding sets that you don’t want to miss out on, and one happens to be at its lowest price in a year. The Jessy Home 7-Piece Comforter Set has a patchwork-style design, and it’s on sale for just $28. Even at its regular price of $30, it’s a steal, but we’ll take any savings we can get with the holidays coming up.

Why do shoppers love it?

This comforter set has a rustic look and feel that can make any bedroom feel more cozy. And with a bed-in-a-bag design, you won’t have to buy extras to complete the look. The comforter and pillow shams feature the patchwork design, with bears, moose, plaid, leaves, and more. The overall vibe feels warm and earthy. All that’s missing is a good book, a hot beverage, and maybe a textured throw blanket for extra comfort.

On top of a comforter and shams, you get an entire sheet set, too. Included are two pillowcases, a fitted sheet, and a flat sheet, all of which match the comforter and shams perfectly. They may not feature the same patchwork pattern, but rather a solid cream color. The sheet set adds a nice contrast to the bold pattern, and because it’s so neutral, it’s versatile enough to use with other comforter styles, whether it’s more farmhouse or boho.

The comforter set comes in two sizes, including queen and king options. There are four colors and patterns to choose from, such as a moose patchwork pattern and a bear patchwork design. For anyone who wants a light farmhouse feel without any animal friends on the design, there’s a blue and white plaid pick available as well.

NewsBusters Podcast: Abdul-Backing Media Unleash on Haley Stevens

November 2, 2026 MMN Editor Filed Under: Commentary Culture Investigations

MRC Graphic

Election Day beckons, and there’s a November Surprise. Democrats and their media enablers were outraged that Democrat Rep. Haley Stevens offered a last-minute endorsement of Mike Rogers in the Michigan Senate race. Abdul-boosting journalists sounded like MS NOW host Jacob Soboroff, who denounced Rogers for “the incredible amount of Islamophobia and bigotry that has been put forward in this race, including by him himself.”Or his fellow MS NOW host Joe Scarborough, who bitterly tweeted: “Today, Haley Stevens endorsed Donald Trump’s most savage policies—the brutalizing of Hispanics, the killing of US citizens in American streets, the launching of endless wars, the gutting of Michigander’s health care, his war on civil rights, higher gas prices, more expensive groceries, less health care, and endless corruption. A vote for Mike Rogers is a vote for Donald Trump. End of story.”The New York Times first went after Stevens on Saturday in an article headlined “Why Haley Stevens Can’t Stop Talking About Abdul El-Sayed,” in which Times reporter Reid Epstein referred to as “Dr. El-Sayed” 24 times in the article. The paper treated the Stevens turnaround with a flurry of campaign stories gathered under the blunt headline, “Democratic Senate Primary Loser Endorses Republican in Michigan.” Loser! The Free Press reminded readers on Monday that two years ago in Michigan, Elissa Slotkin welcomed in Liz Cheney and the Democrats held up signs reading “Country Over Party.” The parties love to hug a defector, but that “country over party” line only goes one way. If you leave the Democrats, you’re just a cynical “traitor.” On NBC’s Saturday Night Live, fake-news anchor Michael Che mocked Ted Cruz for suggesting a Senator El-Sayed could endanger people’s lives, and then the comedian joked “Then he went back to the Senate to cut health care and food stamps.” Then came the anti-Israel joke: “This week, a record number of people voted in Israel’s election, which is great to see regardless of if you’re on the right side, or the left side, or the genocide.”Speaking of political comedy, Alex Christy found the weeknight late-night shows devoted 87 percent of their jokes about Senate candidates to the Republicans.  The few jokes they made about Democrats were gentle, except a couple about Maine’s Troy Jackson having kids with his second cousin. Ronny Chieng at Comedy Central joked: “Troy Jackson has been elected senator in Mississippi.” Jimmy Fallon used an actress for routines mocking Susan Collins AND Darline Graham. Finally, the network Sunday shows energetically downplayed the “Decoy Dan” Sullivan scandal in Alaska. David Becker on CBS said both sides do it: “We’ve seen Elon Musk bankroll Cornel West’s presidential campaign in 2024.”Trevor Ault on ABC noted “reporting by The New York Times allegedly claimed that the Peltola campaign recruited that second Dan Sullivan to get on the ballot to try to siphon some votes away from the incumbent.” He said “pretty much all the legal experts that we spoke to said it would not be illegal to recruit another Dan Sullivan to join the ballot. He added” it doesn’t seem to really be swinging the needle a ton…they’re not really treating this as a massive scandal.”Enjoy the podcast on video below. The audio is here.
