Police are currently responding to an active shooter incident outside of an In-N-Out Burger near Twin Falls, Idaho.
Multiple videos are circulating on social media, one of which appears to show the shooter wielding a rifle in the drive-thru line before opening his trunk to grab something.
Another video shows a man using a handgun and apparently shooting at the gunman, though it is still unclear who or what he was shooting at.
Bystanders also caught the shooter on camera in the parking lot, firing rounds and running around.
Other bystanders were filmed running away and screaming in the parking lot.
The Twin Falls Police Department announced on Facebook,
Our department is responding to an active shooter incident in the area of In-N-Out.
We are asking all residents and visitors to avoid the area so officers and first responders can work safely.
Roads in the area, including the bridge, are currently closed. Please use alternate routes and do not attempt to enter the area.
Additional details will be released when they become available.

According to ABC 7, “Roads near the scene, including a bridge in the area, have been closed. Authorities asked the public to use alternate routes and not attempt to enter the area.”

Rock Creek Fire Chief Aaron Zent told a KMVT reporter on scene that law enforcement is searching the hotel that’s overlooking the visitor center for the shooter.
As of 3:30pm the Perrine Bridge is shut down, along with roads in the area. Police are asking people to stay away from the area.
The parking lot near Dick’s Sporting Good is getting cleared out, according to our reporter on scene. Businesses in the parking lot are on lockdown.
According to our reporter, there are officers from Twins Falls, Buhl, Jerome Police Department, and Idaho State Police at the scene.

As the program that manages the U.S. draft modernizes, commentators are debating whether a potential Draft is around the corner.
The U.S. Selective Service is responsible for managing the U.S. Draft and is currently pushing to modernize the mechanisms that could make the draft a reality, the Military Times reported. As this event is closely timed with an escalation in the Russo-Ukrainian and Iran Wars, some experts have begun debating whether or not a draft could be looming.
The draft could be as soon as “a few years from now,” former Green Beret and war correspondent Michael Yon told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
“Right now they’re probing and putting it out there to make people used to the idea, like okay, we’re just going to register now,” Yon told the DCNF. “That’s all it is. So they’ve been floating it for a while”
“There is very little prospect for a traditional military draft of the sort the country has relied upon in previous eras,” Peter Feaver, a professor of political science and public policy at Duke University, told the DCNF. “A traditional military draft would hobble the armed services with a logistical nightmare. A scheme of national service, for which service in uniform is one of many options, might be more practicable. I support such a scheme but there is little political momentum even for something like that.”
The Pentagon did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
U.S. officials have flirted with the concept of a draft, which could provide the manpower necessary to commit to a U.S.-led invasion of Iran or for support in the Russo-Ukrainian War.
“President Trump, wisely, does not remove options off of the table,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said when asked about the possibility of a draft in an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News. “It’s not part of the current plan right now.”
“I don’t think anybody is seriously considering a draft,” Jason Dempsey, a senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security, told the DCNF. “It’s definitely not politically palatable, and the distance between where we are now and actually executing a draft is, it’s almost in the realm of the impossible.”
The U.S. draft has emerged in U.S. headlines as the Selective Service System put out a request for a quote with a deadline of Aug. 14, seeking a simulation that aims to see what a U.S. draft could look like in a digital age.
The request calls for the simulation to recreate a full mobilization pipeline, use anonymous data, support “configurable scenarios,” and support “complete Government ownership and sustainment.”
“I think there is little [to] no chance of reinstating the draft. There is no need. Except for occasional lows in recruitment, mostly tied to bad policies, we usually have to turn people away,” Heritage Foundation Visiting Fellow and former Pentagon official Steven Bucci told the DCNF. “They are simply not needed. If someone mistakenly passed such a change, it would hopelessly cripple our present highly technical and highly motivated forces with lots of kids that had neither the skills nor desire to serve.”
The Selective Service System’s fiscal 2027 Congressional Budget Justification has a budget increase up to $32.3 million, from the $31.3 million fiscal 2026 level.
“We have had a very significant drop-off in the recruiting age population of 18 to 22, generally seen as a result of the economic downturn and crisis of 2008 when people just stopped having kids for a little while,” Dempsey told the DCNF. “The most likely thing you’re going to see is the military will continue to drop standards for recruitment. There are many levers we pulled before the draft. That includes waiving high school graduation requirements … more waivers for previous drug use or criminal backgrounds that would otherwise disqualify them, but we’ll give waivers so those people can join.”
Yon pointed out that the new digital surveillance and financial infrastructure throughout America could be used to enforce a draft with ease.
“They could make it impossible to lead any normal life. You’re not going to be able to go to the gym or go to school, go to church or whatever, drive down the road. Those [Flock Safety] cameras,” Yon told the DCNF. “I mean, you’d get scarfed up. Because you know, if they have a draft and you don’t answer the draft, you could be deemed a criminal and you could be picked up at any traffic stop.”
A law signed by President Donald Trump on Dec. 18, 2025, will “automatically register all men ages 18-26, effective December 19, 2026.”
Florida has already used a similar system for years. Florida State law requires the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to transmit registration information to the Selective Service when an eligible man ages 18 through 25 applies for or renews a driver’s license or state identification card, while applicants younger than 18 are notified that they will be registered upon turning 18.
“The longer part of this discussion, or the more relevant part, is Ukraine,” Dempsey told the DCNF. “[It] does have some relevance. And everything that has been happening over there the last five years, right? Everybody’s watching that.”
Yon pointed out the actions of the Ukrainian Territorial Recruitment Center, where individuals are grabbed from the streets to be sent to the frontlines. Dozens of videos have been uploaded to X depicting what this looks like.
“You’ve seen what they’re doing in Ukraine?” Yon said. “Have you seen the videos dragging guys off streets? So I mean, they could easily do that in the United States, and I suspect they will.”

New data exposes the purest form of Trump Derangement Syndrome yet: young Americans so thoroughly programmed that they will abandon church itself rather than sit in a pew next to someone who supports the president.

A survey from the Wheaton College Billy Graham Center Research Institute found that nearly half of Gen Z adults – 48 percent – say Christians’ support for Donald Trump has made them less likely to attend church.

Among strong Democrats the figure hits 76 percent. Atheists clock in at 72 percent. Even 30 to 44 percent of young people who still call themselves Christian claim the association turns them off.

The numbers come from a 2024 survey of 2,365 Americans aged 18 to 28, released publicly this month. Lead researcher Rick Richardson noted that spiritual interest among Gen Z remains high, yet church engagement has fallen.

“We wanted to understand the spiritual motivators and demotivators of young adults ages 18 to 28, and among many other factors, we found response to Trump [has] been one,” he said.

Richardson added that young adults “are not looking for churches to agree with them on every issue, but they are looking for churches and pastors to be deeply honest and direct about where they are at and why.”

Honesty is the last thing these respondents appear to want. TikTok influencers have been filming themselves in visible distress at the mere thought of sharing a sanctuary with Trump voters.

The report notes how one young woman stares into the camera and frets that she is “about to dissociate for the next few hours” because she knows the room will contain people who cast a ballot for the president. Another treats Christian support for Trump as an automatic disqualifier for worship.

This is not theology. It is political allergy elevated to religious crisis.

The same cultural machinery that produces this reaction has been running full throttle on university campuses for years.

Those campuses function less as centers of learning and more as godless leftist indoctrination cults that systematically strip young people of any traditional moral or religious framework and replace it with partisan rage.

Arizona State University recently turned “influencing” into an official college major. The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication now offers a Bachelor of Arts in Content Creation complete with personal branding, audience analytics, and social-media strategy.

The degree trains students to manufacture online personas for pay while the deeper curriculum of elite higher education continues to treat faith, patriotism, and free markets as suspect.

Clay Travis cut through the economic self-pity that often follows. “These highly educated young far-left Democrats hate capitalism because they spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on degrees the country DOES NOT value,” he said.

He further urged, “They spent $200,000 on a women’s studies degree [meanwhile] plumbers and electricians are driving better cars and making MORE money. They’re furious the world is valuing other people’s labor more than their own.”

That resentment is cultivated deliberately. At the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a required first-year education course for future teachers pushed extreme ideology on immigration, race, and gender.

Leaked PowerPoint slides framed border enforcement as white supremacy, demanded “humanizing language,” and trained students to resist ICE rather than master classroom fundamentals. A whistleblower reported that the class spent its time on activism while ignoring how to teach math or reading.

The same institutions tolerate open expressions of political hatred that would be unthinkable if directed the other way. Kent State University allowed a student to display “art” depicting President Trump’s severed head on a pike with the caption “We only have to get lucky once.” Administrators initially defended the piece as protected expression.

When the campus protest theater reaches its peak, the entitlement becomes surreal. Princeton “hunger strikers” camping for Gaza complained that the university was not monitoring their vital signs and accused officials of deliberately weakening them.

One insisted, “They are not keeping track of our vitals. They are not at all taking care of us,” while another claimed the group was “literally shaking” and “immunocompromised.”

Joe Rogan diagnosed the pattern without hesitation. “I think we are sending our kids to cult camps,” he said, adding “Some of them get locked in and then it becomes their identity. It’s dangerous.”

He continued: “If I was going to try to destroy the country, that’s how I would do it… I would radicalize the kids, give them the stupidest ideas… You guys are doing nonsense. You go to cult camp. You’re indoctrinating people.”

At Columbia, occupiers who had broken into campus buildings demanded food and water as “basic humanitarian aid,” comparing themselves to refugees. PhD student Johannah King-Slutzky asked whether the university wanted students “to die of dehydration and starvation or get severely ill even if they disagree with you.”

The performance collapsed under mockery once the NYPD cleared the building.

Even the language of national identity is treated as contamination. Stanford University placed the word “American” on a harmful-language list, as if the simple act of naming the country were an act of aggression.

This is the pipeline. Universities that once transmitted Western civilization now transmit a secular political religion whose central sacrament is hatred of the American right and, by extension, of the Christians who still vote for it.

Young people emerge from these environments with high spiritual curiosity and zero tolerance for the actual historic faith that built the country. When they encounter a pastor who refuses to denounce Trump, the programmed response is flight. The church is not the problem. The prior four years of ideological conditioning are the problem.

The survey data is not evidence that Christianity has become too political. It is evidence that a generation has been taught to treat politics as the only remaining religion and Trump support as original sin. That is the textbook definition of cult thinking.

The institutions that produced it show no interest in reform. They keep expanding the curriculum of grievance, then act surprised when the graduates cannot sit through a Sunday service without experiencing dissociation.

America’s churches face a straightforward choice. They can continue to apologize for the existence of conservative Christians, or they can recognize that the real barrier to young attendance is not the Gospel but the prior capture of the universities by a hostile, godless ideology.

The data is in. The mentalism is measurable. The cure begins with rejecting the cult camps that manufacture it.

Alleged vandals destroy and remove the lining of the Reflecting Pool
President Trump posted what appears to be a never-before-seen video or a longer version of previously released clips showing multiple individuals sticking their hands in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool to vandalize the lining.  
Over a dozen people have been arrested or cited for their suspected role in the vandalism, but the most notable arrest was that of former Olympian David Hearn.
A DC grand jury returned an indictment of three-time Olympic canoeist David Hearn for his alleged vandalism of the reflecting pool last month. Hearn faced up to ten years in prison after a grand jury in the DC Superior Court returned the indictment.
However, as The Gateway Pundit reported, the Justice Department on Friday dropped the charges against Hearn. US Attorney Jeanine Pirro, who previously accused Hearn of “violently and forcefully” ripping up the sealant, claimed on Friday that “flawed installation by the contractor” was responsible for the damage.
Trump lashed out at Pirro this morning, slamming her for dismissing the case.

Trump continued blasting Pirro by sharing videos of alleged vandals after his initial rebuke.
The Interior Department released footage of the vandals last month, which Trump posted on Truth Social following Pirro’s decision to drop the charges.

Trump also shared a four-minute-long surveillance video, showing multiple people reaching into the pool and appearing to pull the sealant out. Previously, the US Park Police shared part of this footage and requested help from the public in identifying the suspect as part of a destruction of government property investigation.

The Trump Administration has asserted in court filings that the sealant at the bottom of the pool has been “cut with a sharp knife or razor” by vandals. They further argue that “70 fence post tops were thrown into the pool.”
“Look for yourselves at the VANDALISM that took place at The Reflecting Pool. The material is being cut with a knife or a box cutter, for all to see!” Trump wrote in a post accompanying the clip.

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum also weighed in on the controversy, slamming Pirro’s claim that the installation was flawed and noting that the Trump administration “provided every piece of evidence” to the US Attorney’s office.

The evidence is clear, vandals have repeatedly caused damage to the Reflecting Pool. Some of these acts were even caught on camera. We also provided the U.S. Attorney’s office expert and eyewitness testimony to the damage done by vandals and provided every piece of evidence they asked for in the requested time line detailing each area of damage at the pool.

The Reflecting Pool is part of the Lincoln Memorial and dates back to 1922.
