Indian National Pleads Guilty In $227 Million COVID Test Scam, Bought Data From Pakistani Firm

Syed Murtuza Kablazada, an Indian national living in Des Plaines, Illinois, pleaded guilty Friday to a Medicare fraud scheme that billed $227 million for over-the-counter COVID-19 test kits nobody ordered, the Justice Department said. Prosecutors say he paid about $11 million to a purported telemarketing company in Pakistan for the personal information of hundreds of thousands of Medicare beneficiaries, then used it to file the claims.Kablazada, 36, and his co-schemers bought three Chicago-area laboratories – Chicago Care, V Care and Al-Ameer – in a six-month stretch starting in January 2023, according to court documents and his plea. The labs submitted $227 million in claims for test kits that beneficiaries never requested and never received. Medicare paid about $136 million of it.To hide their role, prosecutors say, the group paid themselves through overseas money transfers and unlicensed money transmitters and spent part of the proceeds on luxury vehicles. As part of the plea agreement, Kablazada agreed to forfeit more than $46 million in fraud proceeds that law enforcement seized from ten bank accounts. He pleaded guilty to two counts of health care fraud and faces a maximum of 20 years in prison. A federal judge will set the sentence at a later date after weighing the sentencing guidelines and other statutory factors. The case began in May 2025, when the Justice Department announced an indictment against Kablazada, then 34 and listed as living in Arlington Heights, and Syed Mehdi Hussain, 32, of Carol Stream. They were charged with four counts each. That indictment said the labs rarely sent kits to anyone and billed for beneficiaries who hadn’t asked for them, including dead people, and that the defendants placed foreign nationals at the labs as nominee owners who were expected to leave the country if investigators closed in. The earlier release puts the billing between September 2022 and June 2023 and does not mention Pakistan; the plea release, which does, dates the scheme from January 2023. Hussain’s case is not covered in the plea announcement.Syed Murtuza Kablazada, an Indian national residing in Des Plaines, Illinois, caused the submission of $227 million in false and fraudulent claims to Medicare for test kits that he knew were never requested by or shipped to the Medicare beneficiaries. Assistant Attorney General Colin M. McDonald of the Justice Department’s National Fraud Enforcement Division, FBI Chicago and HHS’s Office of Inspector General made the announcement. The FBI and HHS-OIG investigated, and prosecutors from the Fraud Division’s Health Care Fraud Section are handling the case with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of Illinois. The department announced the Fraud Division on April 7 and ties its work to the Task Force to Eliminate Fraud chaired by Vice President J.D. For God, Family, and America’s Future – PLEASE VOTE!  HE is on the Ballot…
By Linda S. Brickman
Before you decide you are too tired to vote, picture someone you love…Your child. Your grandchild. Your husband or wife. The person whose future you would do almost anything to protect.
Now ask yourself: Have I done the one thing still within My Power in this election?
Have I Voted?
Today, November 3, Arizona and other critical swing States, will make decisions that will reach far beyond campaign signs and television commercials. We will choose people entrusted with public money, public safety, our schools, and the administration of our elections.  And those decisions will enter our homes long after the campaign advertisements disappear.
Please do not leave them entirely to someone else.
I have spent these past weeks talking with voters, researching issues, writing, and listening. I know people are exhausted. Some are angry. Some are discouraged. Others believe the outcome has already been decided.  But predictions are NOT results. A conversation about voting is NOT a ballot. And a ballot sitting on the kitchen counter has NOT finished its journey.
There is still a responsibility each of us must carry through.
My faith teaches me that responsibility matters. We pray for wisdom, courage, and protection for the people we love. Then we must use the opportunities before us to act on those prayers. God gives us all Free Will to do what should be right.
For me, that includes voting for leaders who will protect religious liberty, respect parents, safeguard children, uphold Constitutional Rights, and answer honestly for their decisions.  Those are the family values I want reflected in government.
And Please Don’t Forget what the Democrats, Progressives, and the Red-Green Alliance did to those family values during the Biden Administration! Regardless of what you may think about Trump and the Republican leadership during less than 2 years, lots of good changes have happened, and at least there is HOPE for more. But giving power back to the Democrat Alliance will only mark a 360-degree turn back to crime, open borders, 9% inflation, $ 5-plus average gas prices, and an assortment of national security threats.
So, MY Recommendation is clear: Vote Republican throughout the partisan races on your ballot. I believe Republican leadership offers the stronger path toward protecting families, restoring accountability, advancing the America First priorities I support, and HOPE.
Please give “every race” your attention. The offices farther down the ballot carry real responsibilities for our communities and our future. Use my published Arizona recommendations for the candidates, propositions, judicial retention questions, and nonpartisan races as well; and there are similar ones in every State that you can find and use, too!
Those values also require something from us. We must examine candidates’ records, consider the consequences of their proposals, and expect the people we support to keep their promises.
Remember: An Endorsement Does Not End Our Responsibility. It Begins Our Obligation to Hold Someone Accountable.
I believe in the promise of making America Great Again.  To me, that promise must mean families who can afford daily life, communities where children are safe, opportunities earned through honest work, and government that remembers whom it serves.
It must also mean that the FREEDOMS we inherited remain available to the generations coming after us.  Our Children Cannot Cast Our Ballots for Us. But They Will Live with the Consequences of Our Choices.
If you have already voted, THANK YOU. You have completed an important part of your responsibility. You can still help by sharing accurate voting information and encouraging the people around you to make their own voices heard.
If you have not voted, make your plan NOW. Choose your location. Check the hours and identification requirements. Allow enough time to get there. And don’t get discouraged by long lines or other procedural hiccups!
And don’t let an alarming post or a discouraging prediction persuade you to surrender your opportunity to exercise your right and obligation to VOTE.
ARIZONA & SWING STATE VOTERS: FINISH THE JOB
On Tuesday, November 3, polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you are in line by 7 p.m., stay in line — you may vote.
In Arizona, bring the required identification. Maricopa County voters can find locations and wait times at Locations.Maricopa.Vote and identification information at GetID.Maricopa.Vote. Voters elsewhere in Arizona should check their county’s official information through Arizona’s voter portal.
If you still have your early ballot, return it to an authorized location in your county rather than putting it in the mail. Follow the envelope instructions, including signing it. Election officials must receive it by 7 p.m. on November 3; a postmark does not meet that deadline. Make sure you ask for ID VERIFIED when giving your ballot to the person helping you.
If your requested ballot never arrived, contact your county election office or go to an authorized voting location for assistance. A missing mail ballot does NOT eliminate your opportunity to vote in person.
I cannot promise you the outcome. Neither can a pollster, a campaign, or a commentator.  But I can tell you this: You deserve to reach tomorrow night knowing that you participated — that you stood up for what you believe and fulfilled your responsibility to the people whose future matters to you.
So, picture that person you love once more.  Then carry that love, that hope, and that sense of responsibility with you.
GOD IS ON THE BALLOT – AND VOTING FOR HIM IS VOTING FOR FAITH, FAMILY, AND AMERICA’S FUTURE.
Please vote.  Together… We Will Be Heard!

MACtion college football picks favor the Bulls plus the spread against Miami (Ohio) tonight

November 3, 2026 MMN Editor Filed Under: THE NEWS

College Football is in action tonight, and it isn’t just action; it is MACtion. If you’re not a big college football fan, you may not realize that there are games almost every night at this point. That hasn’t always been the case; it seems like the MAC was the only conference that really played during the week. Either way, it starts tonight, and we have a good one brewing between Buffalo and Miami (Ohio). The Buffalo Bulls come into the game with a 5-3 record and a 3-1 mark in the conference. The Bulls were one of my favorite teams a few years ago, when they were running everyone ragged on the field. Their identity has changed a bit, but they still have built their team around a strong running game. Their main ball-carrier, Messiah Burch, has run for 845 yards for the season with five touchdowns. Averaging over 100 yards per game, no matter what conference you play in, is impressive.CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK SPORTS COVERAGESo far, the Bulls have played some decent competition. They started the year with a game against UAlbany, and they won by four points. They probably should’ve had an easier time in that game, but I’ll excuse it since it was the first game of the season. The next two games were against Florida International and Penn State, both losses. Florida International beat them by 13, and Penn State routed them by 42. Buffalo really is only effective on the road, not even throwing for 200 yards in a game this season. Over the past five games, they’ve gone 4-1, beating Robert Morris, Toledo, Massachusetts and Bowling Green. Their lone loss was against Western Michigan. On the other side of the field is Miami (Ohio) RedHawks. They are also 5-3 for the season and have a 3-1 record in the MAC. The parallels between the two teams don’t really end there. Miami Ohio is more of a run-first team, but they rely on their quarterback to scramble about as much as they are looking for their lead back to get them yards. Part of the issue is that their main quarterback coming into the season, David McComb, is injured. He was racking up passing yards in the first four games.SIGN UP FOR THE DAILY OUTKICK NEWSLETTERIn the next four games, Caleb Heavner, their new quarterback, has thrown for a total of 579 passing yards. McComb had 646 in his final two games. The RedHawks started the season against Pittsburgh and lost 59-14. They destroyed Holy Cross the next game, and then lost to Cincinnati on the road. They won against UConn, but lost their MAC opener to Bowling Green. Since then, they have won three straight against Massachusetts, Akron, and Central Michigan.Tonight is a battle between two decent MAC teams. The Bulls are going to run the ball as much as possible, and that will likely milk the clock. I could see the under being a good look here. The RedHawks will run more often than throw as well. However, I think a lower-scoring game gives the Bulls a chance to win or at least cover. They are getting six points, and I think they are the correct side in this game. Give me the Bulls +6 tonight. For more sports betting information and plays, follow David on X/Twitter: @futureprez2024

Mike Rogers Fired Up After Casting Vote (VIDEO)

November 3, 2026 MMN Editor Filed Under: THE NEWS

Michigan Senate Republican candidate Mike Rogers was fired up and confident after casting his vote in White Lake, Michigan, on Tuesday.
The polls show Mike Rogers trailing radical Muslim Democrats Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.
However, Democrat Rep. Haley Stevens’ last-minute endorsement of Mike Rogers gave the Republican candidate a surge in support from Democrats.
Democrat Michigan Rep. Haley Stevens joined Republican Michigan Senate Nominee Mike Rogers at church on Sunday, then announced her endorsement of the Trump-backed Republican.
“As you may have seen, our Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, Abdul, said that I was no longer welcome in his campaign and that I should stay away. And he’s right, and that’s why I am endorsing Mike Rogers for the United States Senate today,” Stevens said.
“I don’t belong in Abdul’s campaign. I do not stand with Hasan Piker, who gets trafficked on our college campuses,” Stevens said.
Mike Rogers appeared confident after he cast his vote.
“We have talked to literally thousands and thousands and thousands of Michiganders. We feel really good about where we are today!” Mike Rogers told reporters.
“Here’s somebody who said, I voted Democrat all the way down the list, except for one person who I think is too extreme for our state,” Rogers said.
“That’s country over party. They ought to celebrate her courage and encourage her to continue to being a Democrat rather than trying to throw her out of the party,” Mike Rogers said.

AI investments fail when companies ignore the hard part of transformation

November 3, 2026 MMN Editor Filed Under: SUCCESS, The Street

A widely cited MIT statistic found that 95% of AI pilots fail to generate a positive return on investment despite significant financial commitments. The figure has been disputed in some quarters, but the pattern it describes has not. Companies are spending more on artificial intelligence than ever before, and enterprise-level results remain uneven.

The instinct when a technology investment underperforms is to blame the technology. In most failed AI implementations, that instinct leads organizations in the wrong direction. The gap between what AI projects promise and what they deliver is less often a product limitation and more often a failure of preparation: a failure to examine what would actually have to change for the investment to work.

Also read: Goldman Sachs sees significant shift in AI labour market

Gopal Subramaniam, Senior Vice President at Dell Technologies (DELL), has spent years leading large-scale go-to-market and revenue operations teams across a large global organization. He has watched companies pour resources into AI tools only to see adoption stall, workflows stay unchanged and results fail to materialize. In his view, the technology is rarely the problem. The foundational work that should precede it almost always is.

“AI doesn’t pay off when you insert it into today’s workflow,” Subramaniam told TheStreet. “It pays off when you redesign the workflow around what AI can do.”

The real challenges behind tech transformations

Most failed AI deployments trace back to the same decision made too early: choosing a tool before defining the problem it is meant to solve. An organization identifies a capability, builds an implementation plan around it and begins rollout before asking the harder question: what would actually have to change across the business for this to deliver?

Research from RAND on AI project failures points to models that do not fit actual business workflows and tools deployed without solving meaningful problems for the people who use them, alongside weak data infrastructure, as the most common causes. These are not technology failures. They are planning failures that form before a single prompt is run.

A tool layered onto an existing process preserves most of the friction in that process while adding a new layer of adoption overhead. Redesigning the workflow first means the tool has something to deliver into. Without that work, the technology is solving for a version of the job that is already outdated.

“If the goal is to change how work gets done, roles and skills have to change with it,” Subramaniam said. “That includes leadership. Leaders need to be more collaborative, but they still own the decision, even when AI informs it. Too many companies bolt AI onto the existing workflow and change nothing else. An employee might save a few minutes on one task, but if the workflow around it is unchanged, the organization’s output doesn’t move.”

When organizations treat AI as something to add rather than something to reorganize around, the results are predictable.Mariia Vitkovska / Getty Images

What happens when these areas are ignored?

When organizations treat AI as something to add rather than something to reorganize around, the results are predictable. Productivity gains stay local. The business spends money, employees use a new interface and nothing of consequence changes at the scale that justifies the investment.

That frustration has a second-order effect that is now well documented. A Deloitte survey of workers in the U.K. found that roughly one-third of employees use generative AI without their employer’s approval or knowledge, and half of AI users had received no training from their employer at all. When official tools do not fit actual workflows, employees find their own. The result is an ungoverned spread of AI use that is nearly impossible to audit.

That spread carries real risk. Confidential information entered into an unsanctioned tool may be retained, used in model training or exposed in ways that fall outside a company’s compliance controls. In industries with strict data-handling requirements, a single incident can carry regulatory consequences that far outweigh the cost of the AI project itself.

A smarter business transformation approach

Organizations that extract consistent value from AI investments tend to start from a different place. Instead of selecting a tool and building a case for it, they identify a specific, high-value business problem and work backward to the technology and workflow changes that would solve it. That sequence changes who gets involved, what gets measured and how quickly adoption takes hold.

“Start with a defined business problem, not a tool,” Subramaniam added. “The problem narrows which AI you need and which workflows have to be redesigned. Then bring the people who do the work into that process early. They’ll see how their roles change, and they’ll tell you what it takes for the AI to deliver.”

More Artificial Intelligence:

AI’s biggest business opportunity may not look like AI

AI racks are outgrowing old power: 2 chipmakers have a strategy

BofA splits software into winners and losers as AI agents arrive

That approach also yields more accurate measurements. When the goal is a business outcome rather than a deployment milestone, organizations can track metrics that actually indicate progress. Tool adoption rates measure a behavior. The right business problem frames metrics that measure a result: throughput, error rate, decision speed, cost per unit. That clarity makes it easier to spot where an implementation is falling short and to adjust before the window for course correction closes.

Clear goals also shift how teams respond when results lag. A deployment milestone is binary: it either shipped or it did not. A business outcome has degrees, which means feedback from real workflows can inform adjustments in tools, roles and processes rather than triggering a full reset.

Setting investments up for success

The companies making measurable progress on AI are not uniformly the ones with the largest budgets or the most sophisticated infrastructure. Many are doing less glamorous work that comes earlier: defining the problem precisely, mapping what the process change would look like and treating the people who execute the work as essential to the design process rather than an afterthought to it.

That discipline is harder to put in a press release than a model upgrade or a deployment number. It does not photograph well at a product launch. But it is what separates an AI investment that scales across an organization from one that generates a case study on what to avoid next time.

As AI capability continues to advance, the constraint on enterprise returns is shifting further from the technology and toward the organization around it. The companies that close that gap first will not be the ones that founded better technology. They will be the ones that asked harder questions before they deployed it.
